its true that most of those animals are completely, 100% extinct. But the Thylacine is not extinct. the last one in a zoo died in the 1930s. But theres so much of Australia outback, and most of it hasnt even technically been discovered, because of the harsh landscape. but thylacines are tough, adaptable Mo'Fos. Theyve lived there for thousands of years. There are tons of sightings EVERY DAY. The caspian tiger could be out there too. But the Great Auk makes me sad. They were beaten to death. :(

why would people take a chance at lossing any animal to extinction. all rare animals should be taxidermied immediately and given to museums. just look at what happend to the dodo, only one crapy stuffed one was saved, it deteriorated and finally they burned it. if more museums had one, a stuffed dodo would still be with us!

@TurokSwe well den u sir hav been sadly lead on by jurassic park movies now i can see where there might be a couple of pleasiosaurs in selective lakes n maybe some long necked dinos running around in the amazon n congo but a t-rex would never have survived the cretacious n even if it did by some small chance den it would hav been killed off by the newer n better animals from the mesozoic era

@flawlessbassist1 Its a very big possibility that Tyrannosaurus is still alive, evidence show that, and the mesozoic era´s animals wouldnt have been a match for a T-rex, which should be known as one of the planets top predators and survivors. And we dont know anything of the cretaceous, mesozoic or any kind of prehistoric times, we only have theories about it, its pathetic to take such conclusions about prehistory like science is doing.

cave lion as a species didn't go extinct, it was just an European variation of the African lion, like the American lion was. Should circumstances change enough lions could "recolonize" Europe again under the condition a healthy breeding population survives in Africa long enough.
but it is more likely that decendants of the common housecat develop into large top predators,should a niche for big catlike predators reaccure again in Europe.
