The thing that bothers me most is, the people who do it have ample quotations from the Quran and Ahadith they claim support their actions.

Most of the people in my vids are Muslim and claim to follow the Quran and Muhammad's Sunnah. I think your efforts would be better spent organizing to correct the source of these problems, than blaming propaganda.

we are supposed to read the Quran and hadith with commentary and explanation by reputable scholars but unfortunately today we find that anybody and everybody is interpreting verses however they see fit.we are even told in the Quran that we must go to those with knowledge in order to understand the divine wisdom and teachings.peace

islamonly1- (part1) I think your version of "the true islam" doesn't match with everyone's version. Every ideology that self-describes as "Islam" seems to contradict most of the others, and they all use the Quran to back their views. This is what troubles me the most. I don't think "the true islam" can be identified. Assuming Muhammad was right didn't he say 72 of 73 sects would go to hellfire? I don't think anyone can claim for sure the have the one version that won't.

Ironically, it is when I decided to read the Islamic texts themself that I became most alarmed. This is what prompted me to change my view of Islam (not anti-Islamic propaganda, as so many would accuse)

I don't claim to be an expert on Islam. This is why my profile mainly consists of the words of a former Imam. In fact, I am careful about making "claims" in general. If I say something I usually prefer to have someone more knowledgeable than me say it in a quote, or be analysing an Islam source otherwise.

Your comments about the vids in my channel actually validate what I am saying. Your Islam does not match every version of Islam. The people being hung, amputated, etc, are in Iran and they fully believe that they are implementing Shariah, as found in the Quran/Ahadith/Sunnah. There are Sunnis advocating the same.

Most countries that implement Shariah have such punishments.

Yes. It is fair to say there are people in the "west", present and past, who have done bad things. Grading things as "bad/worse/worst" is not helpful. Our standard shouldn't be who has done the least wrong.

I think, as soon as we acknowledge that the misdeads of one do NOT excuse or lessen the misdeads of another, we have some hope of advancing justice and peace.

All people are equal, so I am grieved just as much when a Muslim is harmed, as a Hindu, Christian, atheist, etc.
