And I'm That friend! Hi Ray! I liked both versions, your pop version (I think it was called New Start) and my Orchestral one which originally came from the film score I wrote for my bro in summer of '06, and we developed it and merged it with your piece 'New Start' because it had the same chord sequence. We also did a version on the keyboard, do u think i shd post some of my other similar compositions?

ps. this piece is really gd live (especially with his piano lol)

thank you very much for the comment! i'm very lucky to have the grand! :D actually my piece (initially) was composed in the pop genre more than anything, and my friend's piece was of 20th century, but i combined the ideas to make a romantic kind of piece!i'm very glad that it works!

This is so beautiful! I love how it is so sweet and fluent, with the softer passages developing organically into the fuller ones. I'm astonished to read that this is two pieces originally; if you hadn't written it in the description, I doubt anyone could possibly have noticed it. Fine emotional piece, sad and comforting at the same time. Oh, and you have no idea how much I would like to have that grand of yours. :-) Thanks for sharing!
