The Syrian Army is very good at killing its own people, especially when they are unarmed. As far as actual combat history, lets take a look at its combat record. Every war it fought against its main adversary Israel, they lost. Despite having a HUGE, numerical advantage, and sometimes technical and equipment advantage, and coordinating their attack with Egypt, and other Arab countries and organizations such as the PLO they could not even reclaim their Golan Heights. I did no't forgot 1973, perhaps they teach you different history, the 1973 war resulted in a tactical victory for Israel, and the Syrian Military once again failed to regain the Golan Heights. @SYR19949 They AA system syria has is the Pantsir-S1, which is definitly good. But being one of the best in the world is not just done by having new technology. The Problem is that they dont have enough of them and their short range. This combined with the countermessures NATO planes will have wont work very well.
They should buy some S-300 to cover bigger areas, they cant do that at the time.
