I think that it's possible to conform to society without any other blacks labeling you an an Uncle Tom or house nigger. It all has to do with the attitude and how you carry yourself. One can play the white man's game and match his standard, abide by laws, and look and speak respectfully in the right arenas, yet still maintain their cultural identity as a black person. I only call people Uncle Toms when they are stiff as fuck. It just depends on the individual really.

Now that so much has come true what he has fought for...he still is fighting that war and it is not needed. One, attacking Tyler Perry for his characters. The ironic part about this is that the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour became iconic for challenging censorship and the accepted standards of good taste, while Keenan & Damon spun their act into a parody that showcased the "Toms" as glaring examples of soulless assimilation. It's simultaneously brilliant AND sad on multiple levels.
