I see this on the heels of some major CBC one-sided BS stories the past few weeks.I thought we were different somehow.Mansbridge in my youth was someone we looked up to.Takes guts to speak out wd !
The only people who should feel responsible for doing anything to the families of those murdered on 9/11 are the ones who caused it, not Mansbridge or anyone else who had no control over the events of Sept 11 2001. You have no right to suggest that he carry that weight. Joshua, you are discrediting your own academic pursuit of facts surrounding 9/11 by refusing to retract misleading statements about Shermer and the accusation you direct at Mansbridge. You take all criticism personally! Grow up!
Well that's your point of veiw. There are some thoughts you should keep to yourself and that is one of them. Taking your pathetic theories to Peter Mansbridge just made you look stupid!
The question essentially boils down to the media's obligation to provide unbiased and informative news. The 4th estate is instrumental in providing the public with the information they need to make well reasoned political choices, not in providing a unilateral viewpoints which reject the opinions of a large portion of the population. Asking why the media failed to report unbiasedly on an issue with such varied opinions is a completely fair question. To those who clapped, one word: Sheep
The best thing people can do is put in official complaints at the University for Hall and Blakeney's behaviour. Blakeney and Hall are just constantly screaming at guest speakers (Shermer and now Mansbridge and others before that as well at the library) who often have little to nothing to do with 9/11. If this behaviour isn't stopped, the University will get a deserved reputation for idiocy and lose the ability to get decent guests.
Just so you know I attended this speech and Peter Mansbridge made you look like an idiot. It's convenient how you cut out the part where he shut you up and the crowd clapped as you slinked into your seat. He has more knowledge then you will ever have and done more things than you ever will. You made yourself look like a fool..... Well Done!!
You can hear the audience applauding Mansbridge from 4 mins 09 seconds. Don't misrepresent my editing. I deliberately provided the viewer with all the footage taken of Mansbridge's response. He treated me and 1/3 of Canadians as idiots when he dismissed our evidence-based concerns about 9/11 as merely being people having "a heathy appetite for conspiracies." He failed to concede that he was gullible instead of skeptical in the aftermath of 9/11and that the official story is majorly flawed.

So stupid, made a total fool out of yourself. He shut you down so bad we clapped to that! We clapped because he shut you down because your just a University kid that thinks he is smarter then everyone else! Guess what your not!
I was there buddy, and you sounded like a total idiot. Like honestly just because you disagree with Peter DOESN'T MEAN THAT HE'S PART OF A CONSPIRACY! Like Jesus go have more bubble tea
Take it from someone who was actually there, this Joshua guy sounded and acted like an idiot and Peter responded very well with a justified answer. Just because someone disagree's with you doesn't mean they're part of a conspiracy or working in the interests of the US government. People were clapping because Mr Blakeney was being thouroghly rude and attacking Peter Mansbridge for doing his job properly. Maybe Cbc only showed a "handful" of documentaries because thats all the subject deserves.
@mrgalaxyman57 If you think CBC pays well you are wrong! But that is the kind of comment made by someone like yourself who doesn't actually know, you are probably just bitter because you lost your job and now that your employment ins ran out you are jealous of anybody on the public sector payroll. You probably bitch at the cops that you sign their paychecks when they are writing you a ticket.
Well done. Very telling questions. My only criticism is that it was very difficult to hear Peter Mansbridge, so titling his responses would have helped. Can this be done, in retrospect, with some kind of caption system, these days?
Why would Mansbridge be responsible to ask the Canadian Government to do an investigation? And if he did ask, why would they listen? And why is Mansbridge responsible for servicing the 24 families that may be mourning?
What exactly does "a handful" mean? If they've shown one, they've shown one. How many have CTV shown? Global? They get government money, too. Why aren't they responsible for educating Canadians, but CBC is?
@focused84 Maybe because he works for the "Canadian Broadcasting Corporation"? Which is in fact a crown corporation and technically still owned by the government and whats wrong with demanding accountability and follow up from employee's of the government? An employee thats supposed to be an unbiased journalist no less?
Also grants are different from employment that should be obvious.
Finally you are on youtube so power of anonymity to you, but a little respect goes a long way pal.
@SaggiDarkClownlike anonymity no longer exists on this thing we call the internet any longer. you wanna talk about respect? how about this fool showing zero respect to Mr. Mansbridge?
That CBC has been part of the global censorship over the cover and protection afforded by the U.S. government to the most formidable terrorists in history is best accepted as a fact. The truly juicy questions surround the forces at work behind this global, enduring, self-healing, and amazingly strong censorship, where just about every traditional watchdog gives the U.S. executive a free pass.
I always thought to myself, CBC reports 1 in 3 Canadians believe 9/11 was a cover up. Yet I don't see 1 in 3 Canadians at our elected officials offices or on the streets demanding a Canadian investigation. Does this mean 1 in 3 Canadians have come to terms with it being a cover up and has decided not to care about truth and justice? What kind of a world do people want to live in? One where truth doesn't matter. 1 in 3 Canadians, WHERE ARE YOU? WE NEED YOU!!

Peter Mansbridge doesn't even have a High School Diploma.
He's a dropout, that's even worse then a journalist.
All he can do is read a teleprompter and grin whenever there is a report about the "British Monarchy".
He is old and will be gone in a few years...
Masbridge can't think for himself, other do it for him.
