@Ken8129 believe it or not... this is the best arcade racer I've played. I love the simplicity and strategic element to this game of trying to maximise nitrious boosts by drifting with speed and control and when to use the boosts.. what type of nitrious boost is best for which track etc. The player is crap because he can't control the drifts so makes the game look bad. Towards the end of career mode, this game is a tough nut to crack.. online battles are insane..easily the most underrated racer

They changed the drift mechanics far to much after RR4. I miss the "leave off gas before turn and mash throttle while swinging the back out" style of racing. I think it died off with touch sensitive buttons, which I detest.

Ridge Racer is Far from sim. And I hate when people bash it...some games require a little learning curve before you like them and people like IGN ect don't spend enough time cause they have so many games to go through. Once you know the controls on this game ITS SO EASY TO PLAY.
