mirandas character was so complex, she was a strong woman with so many emotions in side. and andrea was a reminder of who she was, and andrea is a representation of how miranda became who she is. miranda made andrea a stronger more independent woman. miranda passed on her strength on to andrea.
I love the not so subtle Mirandy in this. And the implication that Miranda as Miriam once loved a woman but in her quest for perfection lost the truth of her life and sacrificed her honest identity. Until Andrea : )
