for people who are having problems with sync button like your controller will disconnect after changing modes...just use a charge and play chord it wont disconnect...thats what i do...hopethis helps so you wont have to take apart controller to fix it...thumbs up if this idea helped you.....

The sync is a bitch to solder...... I ended up using a tiny section of copper wire from a Cat 5 cable to bridge the gap between the sync button center contact and the board. I refused to use the glue as I have been soldering for 20 years.

I tinned both contacts on the switch and the board, then tinned the wire itself. which was a lot longer than needed. I was able to get it in one try. I then used side cutters to lop off the extra wire and put it back together..... works perfectly.

You can bypass the board by soldering a wire on the LEFT sync spot on the board, then tin the other end of the wire with solder, and solder it to that middle peg on the chip, where you had the first one. Dont use the glue, it sucks. Get a soldering iron and real solder. Another way you can do it is to file down a soldering iron tip so its very thin, like a pencil tip, so its easier ti get to that contact. Thats what I did, and had no problems installing it.

Don't get too worked up about haters posting negative stuff, it will happen. I have modded my XB controller with the intensafire and it worked for a while. I had to reapply the glue a few weeks later. I just checked it to see if it works and it must have came unglued again. For 20 bucks it is alright. Plus I am bored on the weekends and need something to do. The pin near the sync is indeed difficult to get the glue to contact. When you mod take your time and be super cautious. Good post.
