  • the good old days when you could smoke during an interview! R.I.P Freddie Mercury<3<3

  • freddie, u r STILL among us !!!

  • ... and write the hits! hahaha

    GENIUS!

  • I love when he says "Hungry...for a hamburger" and touches her arm. So warm, natural.

  • an arab singing rock n roll ....... you gotta love him

  • Freddie said that he never liked interviews, but he would give occasional interviews.

  • she looks jealous

  • "they leave me to the wardrobe and writing the hits" :P

  • Can someone tell me the name of an interview where he's not smoking? Lol, i just wanna know :)

  • @LivingDeadLaura13 Well, he started smoking in the eighties, so I supose that in all of the 70's interviews Freddie's not smoking (or at least that's what I think).

  • @LivingDeadLaura13 lol soooo true:)

  • Maybe it's just me, but if I was as close to him as she was during the interview, I wouldn't be able to restrain myself from bear hugging him and not let go. Oh my gosh I love him.

  • I absolutely love this guy so much. </3

  • Can not believe it's been 20 years ago then he past away.

  • Wow, even MJ came to see him play.

  • @elfie2k7 Mercury's sexuality was mostly common knowledge to the public, as opposed to Jackson who's horrendous plastic surgery addiction and unsavoury attraction to children was offensive, so comparing them together is personally unwarranted.

  • The first time I hear his voice when he's talking and not singing

  • okay, idk why Michael Jackson is compared to Freddie except for the fact that he can dance like a boss and hit a few high notes, not to take away from the fact that he was a great song writer, but Freddie Mercury could hit high and low ranges, was an amazing front man, and was the father of rock/pop. Not to mention his amazing fashion sense :)

  • @krh233 I love both and plz wtf is hit few notes? he sing live perfectly since the age of 5.He dance and sing at the same time! Freddie dosen't..plus MJ won awards for rock, pop and soul..3 different categories...I agree with one thing..Freddie has better voice than Michael!

  • @visa422978 Compared to Mercury, Jackson only can, not to say that he is a bad singer! MJ got awards in 3 different categories, yes but Queen CREATED a category, Rock-Opera, and he has gotten awards in Rock and Pop. You bring up the point that Michael can dance, that is a great talent but, it doesn't make him a better singer at all. And just because Freddie Mercury wasn't famous at age 5 doesn't mean that he wasn't a "perfect singer," which no one is or can be. I do agree in loving both too:)

  • @krh233 I am not saying that singing at 5 makes u great but his singing ability at age 5 is incredicle.listen to jackson 5 acapella n u will be blown away...Michael sing and dance at live performance in 80's and still manage to hit pitches perfectly..I am a singer myself and it is not easy to dance and sing at the same time.Michael did..he created the art of creative videos.MJ and Freddie has no comparison coz both are legend..I neva seen any artist as humble and giving as michael!

  • @krh233 he supported 39 charity organanization and give more than 300 milliom..arrrgggghhh forget it! I love both very much...Freddie and MJ forever bye

  • his cheekbones, oh my lord.

  • Why in the Hell he's SO sensual?????? he could make any woman fall in love with him...

I miss you so beauty Freddie :')

  • @elfie2k7 I hear you man, if only there was a cure for AIDS, cancer, disabilities, etc. That way people wouldn't die at such younger ages below the 80s.

  • She's beautiful too

  • Love his laugh at the end and the last comment "the will leave me for the wardrobe I guess... and writing the hits " such a confident queen snap snap and that look he gave I love it.. Legend.

  • My God the way he talk and his eyes and the way he look at her while talking is so attractive I love this calm serious side of him he's a true showman on the stage he's totally over the top and drama and in real life is a total different character. R.I.P Freddy :')

  • i find it really annoying they kept putting his name on the screen HELLO if you dont know its freddie why are you watching lol but i guess thats how they did it back then ......great interview though he is perfect in every way love love love freddie xox i love the part where he says hes not a bitchy queen hahaha hes so gorgeous

  • Freddie, I am sorry that you never got to go to Russia :( our politicians were and always will be assholes

  • this is amazing

  • He was so sexy ^.^

  • @natalieisthewalrus HE IS SO SEXY! HE STILL LIVE! *__*

  • @natalieisthewalrus: LIVES* ^^

  • Hungry for hamburger :)

  • Freddie really looks better with moustache. well without moustache he still looks good though :)

  • lol as a straight guy, i must admit that im so jealous of his natural charisma and classy looks lol

  • This man should be SIR Freddie Mercury..

  • @rooyackerskamps He most definetly would have been had he lived.

  • @MrTimooth i do think so as well :)

  • Freddie was funny, witty, intelligent, humble, goofy, not a bitchy queen as he said. The more I learned about him the more I miss him. This is the best interview of Freddie and thank you for sharing.

  • a great man.

  • the diffrenece between the artists today and him is that he had natural charisma and they are just full of ego

  • I love the way he shows respect for the rest of the band members, and also, for other artist. He was able to "switch" from being a powerful frontmant in live concerts, to a humble man talking about interesting details inside the band.

It´s being 20 years since the best vocalist passed away...Long Live Freddie!!!

  • per favore mettete i sottotitoli in italiano.

  • its funny, when he talked he did so almost with a lisp, but when he sang it was always very clear and simply beautiful.

he was cray talanted that man, one of the best (if not THE best) voices in rock-history. miss him so much.

  • Love you Freddie. Even to this day your voice is peerless. You live on in the hearts of every true rock fan.

  • 2:50-3:04 lol

  • Freddie, I can't help loving you darling:x even when you're bored:*

  • Freddie is so sweet. Cracking jokes with the interviewers, speaking eloquently despite hating interviews. Love him.

  • he don`t like interviews

  • i'm gonna grow a moustache. too bad i can't grow musical talent

  • I'm sorry to all of you mercury fans, but Freddie i'm sure has a nice side, but it seems like all the interviews i've seen him in he acts like a conceited A-hole.

  • He's not an asshole. He always had a very dry/sarcastic sense of humor in interviews (plus he's not fond of interviews).

  • @loveuforeverapril20 You should know cause you are one and worse of all with no talent or fame to speak of lol. Love you Freddie you truly are a classy, humble, shy guy.

  • @carmelle127 How would you know if I was talentless, or know if i'm not famous? I never said anything bad, I just gave my opinion.

  • @loveuforeverapril20 It doesn't matter if you are or not, the thing is i always hear people say how sweet, shy and humble Freddie is was. It just came out of left field what you said about him, i think it's unjust that's all.

  • @carmelle127 Oh, well, screw off.

  • I'm surprised how down to earth and grounded he is. Knows what he's about and shares so honestly. Gives very intelligent answers which is rare in any industry as far as I'm concerned. We find out there's no big mystery here, just a very natural process of creating music and dealing with associates and friends. Very cool interview!

  • @elfie2k7: Don't worry, when you die you will hear all the songs Michael and Freddie wrote together.

  • Comment removed

  • Mercury, who was a Parsi (Persian Zoroastrian)

born in Zanzibar and grew up there and in India until his mid-teens, has been referred to as "Britain's first Asian rock star

  • how the hell do you know? did you have sex with him?

  • I. LOVE. HIM

  • freddie looks so nice here, our freddie

  • @CoNNoRPwNz ok

  • I could totally see John Turturro playing him in a film someday.

  • @randy80801 JOHNNY DEPP.....noone else JOHNNY DEPP...watch Depp's movie The Libertine, and then look at Freddie before he cut his hair....Cohen's slated to play him but he's too damn tall...theyll need to white face shaquille o'neal for Brian's role

  • @MrSoulauctioneer

I have seen on youtube a queen tribute band who went on australias got talent and the lead singer is EXACTLY like freddie mercury, He should play him, cohen is too much comedy , i will never take him serious.

  • @CoNNoRPwNz so what is the problem that he was gay/bi???

  • @CoNNoRPwNz i'm freddie mercury expert!! but do you think that he's a bad person for that?

  • @CoNNoRPwNz no it isn´t he was bissexual!! so why he have girlfriends?? he admicted yes but he admicted that he was bi

  • @CoNNoRPwNz he's bissexual not gay!! and he is a bad person or bad artist just because that??

  • the wardrobe and writing the hits and a lot lot more

  • "They leave me to the wardrobe, and to writing the hits."

    OH SNAP

  • Yes, I agree. Actually, it reminds me of the funny response Freddie gave in that NME interview. The journalist: "so, where do you see yourself in 5 years time?" Freddie: "Well, darling, if you're going to have a Terrapin pie, you need to place the butter on top, don't you?".

  • He'is Beautifull,his voice is perfect!! Is a Genious...he is my love<3

  • The bit about Russia reminds me that Freddie actually never really lived to see the world after the dissolusion of the Soviet Union. Russia should have let Queen visit. Too late now. :-/

  • @JonnyCrash actually Queen was the only band that did visited Soviet Union, it was 1986 in Budapest.

  • Often I spend the day listening to this fabulous man! No one could ever compare to this great man.

  • @strongbadassman So I guess neuroblastomas/leukemia and other cancers in children are part of nature's sacred law, as well? And while we're on the topic of STD's, you seem to forget that Syphilis and Gonorrhea (hetero transmission) were death sentences until very recently when science discovered antibiotics. In Africa AIDS kills married hetero couples by the millions thanks to Christian missionaries who taught them that condoms are a "sin" . Your smug pseudo morality is based on your ignorance

  • i LOVE FREDDY :)

  • Lol "they leave me to the wardrobe and writing the hits" then she goes "oooo" god i love this man! Miss him muchly

  • "i'm not 1 of those bitchy queens" LMAO. freddie ya alright

  • Comment removed

  • we were hungry. . . for a hamburger lol

  • he's so polite and humble, artists today are so full of themselves really! exp: lady gaga....number one reason for why i don't really like her.

  • @ekuna91 It was a different time back then, A different generation all on its own

  • @ekuna91 you mean MR gaga, its a talentless transvestite

  • @ekuna91 guess what lady GAGA made her name from "Radio Gaga" ..Queen song. Hahaha they were her fav band.

  • @ekuna91 That's ironic considering Lady Gaga considers Freddie Mercury & Queen to be one of her biggest inspirations. The spirit of their over the top, flamboyant performances lives on in her own. Her name is even a variation of the Queen hit "Radio Gaga" from their The Works album.

  • @waalaman

life is full of irony my friend...I don't disagree with what you said, I think she is a fantastic entertainer. I do disagree with what your implying though.. just because she looked up to them or was influenced by them does not mean she has the same exact personal qualities as Queen and Freddie Mercury. duh

  • @ekuna91 Lady Gaga isn't full of herself. Have you ever seen an interview with her? She's very sweet, very down to earth.

  • @BigBagsForRent yees, i have, maybe we are watching different ones?

  • @BigBagsForRent but she doesnt seem like shes sincere...just a load of shallow hot air 'nicey nicey' sound bites. your a fool for falling for it.

  • @ekuna91 yeah an the best thing about it is that freddy had more talent in his thumb than most modern artists have in their whole body.

  • DAMN!!!! I miss Freddie!! :( ♥

  • Freddie Mercury in the age of the internet would have been AWESOME...

    *tear

  • @TAz69x thats what makes the music even better. untouched by modern technology. now a days anyone can "make" a good catchy song. freddie and the rest of queen, literally built amazing songs out of pure talent and hard work. no auto tune needed.

  • @TAz69x he would have made gaga and her ilk look like rank amatuers

  • @TAz69x I agree and I'll add this: this is the age of the Internet and he IS awesome!

  • @TAz69x He was AWESOME without the internet!

  • @TAz69x nahh, he would have been called a paki or something

  • @TAz69x Having Freddie Mercury on my computer makes the INTERNET awesome! The internet owes Mr. Mercury a massive debt for allowing it to access his awesomeness. Internet, say "Thank you" to Mr. Mercury.

  • man those 9 guys are they normal?? just saying

  • Hey people! What he said at 2:28 - 2:40?

  • @MultiLibs Freddie said he would like to go to Russia and China. They (Queen) had already asked Russia but they turn them down and Freddie speculated that Queen were to 'volatile'.

  • One of my all time favorite Freddie interview monents at 0:30... Hungry for..... Hamburger! lol

  • I'm sorry for faking electro's account..his has a lower case "e" but i'm SOOO jealous of his beautiful hair..he does NOT have AIDS and i made it up out of jealousy and he's charging me $10,000 for his hair<---i can't afford that..CAN SOMEONE DONATE THEIR HAIR FOR ME??? i WORSHIP george michael<--- he's gay like me and i used to have hair like him but i have ALOPECIA UNIVERSALIS<---TOTAL LOSS of ALL my BODY HAIR and now i look like the guy from the movie: "powder"..please help me..WHY ME???

  • 9 people are Justin Bieber fans.

  • As simple as "genious"...no one's ever gonna be as excellent and unique as Freddie was. ♥♥

  • he came out again with `` I`m not one of those bitchy queens``

  • Freddie was truly such a beautiful man!! So full of life and charisma. Such a character!! Oh how I miss him!! A true loss to this world when we lost him. ILY Freddie!! R.I.P. Freddie. Forever missed and forever loved!! ♥♥

  • Why do da good die young¡¡¡

    MISS YA FREDDIE

  • He is very respectful when he talks of Michael Jackson.

  • Jesus Christ! Give the man a hamburger :D

  • ¡¡¡ Beautiful !!!

    I till love you Freddie

  • @Isis8287

    till?

  • I till love you Freddie

  • I sure miss you Freddie! Will be a QUEEN fan till the day I die. There will never be another Freddie Mercury, Period! Rest in Peace Freddie, you are truly missed!

  • I dont believe in god, or in a life after this. But if im Wrong, Freddie is the only person I couldnt wait to meet when I get there. I never met you Freddie, but I miss you every day.

I was born a year before you died, and still you have ment everything to my music life. Thank you!

  • @EmmEssEmm what about your family members lol?

  • i love those expressions freddie was making especially at the end after he said 'and writing the hits' and batted his eyelashes #LOL

  • why did the musical world have to lose a soul like this?

  • LMAO, I think Freddie thinks the interviewer is talking about his having an affair with Bowie but really she's asking about the song. . . cute.

  • Comment removed

  • I've been a Queen fan ever since eleamentary school.

  • how the fuck is this man indian?

  • Excellent interview; thank you for sharing.

  • hes got quite a posh accent hasnt he? rip freddie

  • Comment removed

  • @ben5leto how so? can you explain? Seems rather pleasant in my opinion.

  • @magpieeye idk maybe i'm exaggerating but if you listen really closley he keeps talking about how him and the band fight a lot and if they weren't so successful as a band they would of all broke up. and he says david bowie is an asshole. idk i think he is upset but he's just really hiding it.

  • @ben5leto

Really? I don't agree with you AT ALL. How did you come up with that conclusion? He was polite, articulate and answered all her questions frankly. He looked as relaxed and communicative as one can be expected in an interview like this. There was nothing negative in his attitude that hinted to the fact that he was in a "bad mood"... Were you watching the same interview ?????

  • @MyMusiclover28 Alright then don't agree with me. i'm not telling anyone to.

  • @ben5leto

Wow...you must be a very nice person...lol...that chip you have on your shoulder must be extremely heavy... If you don't like people responding to your comments, you should not post them...this is, after all, a public/social forum... calm down.

  • @MyMusiclover28 I do like people responding to my comments and I didn't even say it in a mad or rude way I kindly said you don't have to agree with me. And I even told someone that I was exaggerating a bit. I just have a gift of knowing peoples emotions when they are hiding them just by the way they talk.

  • Comment removed

  • @ben5leto

Kindly? Really? Well...we would have to disagree on that one as well... I could also say I have a "gift" for knowing people's emotions by the way they WRITE, but that would'nt make much sense... Would it?... oh, well ...peace

  • @MyMusiclover28 Like I said you don't have to agree with me or believe what i say. and you can't tell an emotion by the way someone writes unless they express it in the writing. but you can clearly see emotions in people just by the way they talk. peace!

  • I love him!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • "got nothing to do with dress...." goes on to explain his dress

  • "I am a trooper, honey..."

  • "I'm not one of those bitchy queens..."LOL! He was great...

  • 8 people does'nt know what love is.

  • Freddie Mercury: We'll remember you for the amazing moustache you had back then. lol

  • no country should be without queen

  • i love him so much. he's so modest and sweet.

  • When his shows were shown on Russian TV in 80's and 90's everybody here were watching it. We wanted badly for the Queen to come to Russia. But the USSR drooped the same year he died, so....

  • What a darling, darling man! Oh my goodness could Freddie be a bigger sweetheart? So sincere and just fun to talk to!

(If only I could have had that privilege first-hand)

  • lmfao BRITISH ACCENT yes!!! lol

  • oh well..russia's loss..

  • I find this man very inspirational

  • Freddie Mercury was a musical genius! Indeed, he was very close to his bandmates, and loved his friends & family dearly. If you've seen any recent interviews, they still miss Freddie tremendously. He was such a very loyal and giving friend to them. Please stop judging and get some real facts! Nureyev died of Aids, but it doesn't diminish who he was as a dancer. Pls stop discussing his sexuality and his talent in the same comment. Give the man his due praises! We love you Freddie!

  • "They leave me with the wardrobe and writing the hits.." Haha! Love his laughter at the end..

  • @kimpiglet3 I love the expression in his face, like saying "of course I write the best songs, darling, who do you think you're talking to?" Not humble at all! And with reason, he will always be the best!
