  • Musically this is excellent, but I don't fancy Koopman's style of conducting. As far as the recording is concerned, sound and picture are not synchronized with each other, alas.

  • This woman should have been surnamed Orgasmsova...Wonderful performance! Bravo!

  • She must be called Luba Orgasm-sova...Wonderful performance! Bravo!

  • She must be called Luba ORGASMsoba....Wonferful performance! Bravo!

  • 4 people are really stupid and do not have a clue about how to sing....

  • I like the soprano, very nice and nobel voice. Orchestra so, so...this no vibrato thing doesn't help. Koopman obviously enjoys himself very much, but doesn't really help the orchestra. Looks very difficult to follow, hence the tempo and ensemble problems.

I think a conductor's job is to make things work. If at the end there is mental space to enjoy himself, great, but not the other way around.

  • Brava, Luba.

  • DANG!

koopman really gets into it!!.luba has a voice that needs a bit more training.imho. there is real talent there..just seems somewhat inexperienced.still a fine effort.i like the orchestra.

  • @99galisteo1 She's been singing in major houses for years...she's not an up and coming soprano. And she's technically very strong.

  • You can stick with your chirpy coloratura soprano. If you listen to classical music and respect classical singing, then you should know that there are vocal classifications and Mrs/Ms Orgonsova is a Lirico Spinto eg Light Dramatic soprano. Get used to it. She is ten times better than all those technically uncultivated singers like Kathleen Battle and Natalie Dessay.

  • I just conducted this piece in a student soprano recital (I am an aspiring student conductor as well - and shamelessly uploaded the videos if any of you are interested, although I am not ballsy enough to put my name on them). I love the style in which the orchestra plays. Well, they are the Mozarteum, so naturall they would know what they are doing. I have never heard the horn lick (behind the gigglish oboes) before - was it there in the original score??

  • Make a link and we will give you feedback :)

  • "The horn lick (behind the gigglish oboes)" is the conductor playing the organ like it was done at Mozarts time. Continou-part to be improvised. So no, its not in the score - original or not...

  • This is definitely not the best version. I do agree that her voice is a little dark and not that fits into this motet. Also, her coloratura is not good and sometime sings faster than the orchestra, totally not in the rythem.

  • True... but she still a good singer... XD

  • I think she has a fantastic voice!!! Super clear tone

  • Excellent and tempered artistry!

  • Franchement ! je ne trouve pas cette chanteuse terrible , j'ai entendu beaucoup mieux ! Amicalement............

  • I don't like Kiri, but I do like Lynne Dawson's voice alot.
