  • @tolgaze Winmob, is a piece of shit. Android is better. Bottom line.

It a has a few cool features of the HTC HD2, but if you sit hear and lie to everyone and say, they have better applications than an Android, we'll all know you are either on drugs or you work for HTC. I can't even get sports updates on HD2. Go to your market place and tell everybody How much the highest App cost. Droid was about 5 bucks. That's what the fuck I'm saying!!!

  • HTC HD2 SUCKS!

    I had a G1 and it's much better...

They had the turn by turn GPS and it was free.

If you want the turn by turn GPS for the HTC HD2 it will cost you 9.99 a month plus your data plan.

This phone is a Piece of shit.. I wish the people who right these reviews would be honest so people wouldn't waste their hard earned money on crap like this.

If this phone isn't better than the G1 than I know Apple Iphone kicks these piece of shits ass.

  • @tregiii what the fuck are you saying??i got this phone from about 3 weeks ago and i have to say it's just awsome! the screen is so responsive and the UI is so smooth and lightning fast plus all kinds of goodies...pardon me but i really fail to see how iphone is better...

it's a great phone for anyone no matter what your interests are =D it simply would do ANYTHING

  • @tregiii why post the same shit on all hd2 videos? to much spare time i guess ;)

  • You seem to know an awful lot for it being your "first time"...

  • Is this a phone for a Music listening social 15 year old teenager (me) or will i look like a business man or something like my mentor (who owns this phone) ??

  • @mantheman100 i got this phone and im 17 and all i use it for is texting, phone calls and facebook, very good for social networking and also i watch alot of movies onit so yeah it would be ideal for you

  • @sullybaby123 sweet, im gettin dis ;:) Ty!

  • Flash works on IE for me and it doesn't work on Opera... any clues?

  • The guy keeps saying he is using hsdpa however he is connected to a home/office wireless signal so chances are this isnt true!

I have the phone myself and although it does load quickly, this really depends on where you are.

The speed also has the tendancy to go to hell when you browse during peek hours. But that would happen with any phone.

All in all expect slightly slower speeds then what he is showing especially reguarding download times.

  • can you watch streaming videos on HTC HD 2 besides youtube (megavideo, divx player, flash ??

  • Does anyone know the answer to this? This is one of the reasons why i'm really interested in the phone.

  • @baba0072 I will say yes. Use the correct internet browser and you can play flash easily...particularly with the Skyfire browser. I've got a divx player on my phone, but I haven't used it yet, but I think it won't stream video and it isn't a program built for the HD2, but for an earlier windows phone. Having used this phone since early December I can't praise it enough.

  • yes with skyfire you can watch full flash even on the htc hd blackstone. works on hd2 too. better way is to put the movies on the sd card and watch em in high quality then. love it

  • great review

  • Skyfire on the HD2 is awesome!

  • Does flash work in the IE browser?

  • Best windows device I've ever seen. Don't like that it doesn't have a physical keyboard but the virtual looks pretty sweet and responsive. I think this may be coming to T-mobile - going to be a hard choice between this and the Behold II

  • oh no ie

  • Thats a really nice piece of hardware, what a shame about the OS.

  • Good hardware. Shame about HTC choosing WinMobile 6.5

Bad move. Especially seeing how limited and expensive the Marketplace apps are

They should have gone with Android 2.0!

Did you manage to come across any of the dated 1999-style GUI screens when using the phone?

Its also a shame the max video recording is 640x480. Already we have Motorola Droid and Nokia N900 having DVD resolution recording

How are the main hardware buttons? From reviews I see mention of them feeling a bit flimsy

  • Could you pls upload some video of contents which came wht the phone in UK.

  • LOL why ? its not iphone anyway . winmo can handle multi tasking pretty darn good especially when u have 1ghz processor on board .

  • @marko180196 good point...but that just shows us how fast this thing is..there was absolutely no lag..amazing..still can not decide between this and the N900 :(

  • Yes, it's amazing ^^

But this does not mean the phone does not lag that the battery does not discharge. And sorry, thanks for the test :)

  • hi is their any chance to getting videos and images taken from this device in multiple light conditions please

  • so what are the perks to this over the iphone 3gs? i had the the first hd and my issues with it were lag time in taking pictures, difficulty navigating the phone, unresponsive screen and lack of apps. the three big competitors look like the sony ericsson x10, this guy and the 3gs

  • you had the TOUCH HD running windows mobile and you believe there were a lack of apps ??

  • would u say the HD2 has better multi touch zoom than the hero

  • Dude, if you're judging phones on how 'good' the multi-touch is, I think the HD2 would be lost on you...

  • first of all i was just interested second of all that comment is completely unnecessary

  • If you say so.

  • hi can you tell me more about the camera, i have a omnia which is laggy on taking videos and also during the movement when taking snapshots. i currently undecided on weather to get the omnia2 or htc hd2. any how the camera on the omnia2 is great as it records at 30fps in vga and also has a 120fps slow motion mode, but what does the htc hd2 record in, could you please list the resolution recording modes and their fps for each.

    thank you loads ;)

  • the hd2 has a maximum resolution for video recording of VGA (640x480) @ 30fps. it can also record in QVGA (320x240) @30fps

  • When Winmo 7 comes out, will the HD2 be compatible?

  • Thats the big question.

  • Hopefully you can do an optional upgrade, and hope they rename it to something else, windows mobile sounds too... out of style, if you ask me.

  • @seeret nope it wont.. but u wont want it. it looks retarded

  • @seeret no

  • @seeret no, not backward compatible at all...

  • @seeret yes, it already is now
