@sidselmittet you can find it here discshop. :write Chess - På Cirkus in the search filed they are pretty expensive in postage then they ship abroad: 10 EURO
Note: As someone has noted in Swedish, these are the original English lyrics and don't equate exactly with what was re-written for the Swedish production.
my thoughts after seeing Chess like 15 times: yes, Anders comes across as a bit overacting. But - sitting in the theatre it worked. Seeing it on the DVD I felt a bit "oh, stop doing that with your eyebrows and with your head", but I was there during one of the tapings and at that time I bought it. There is a difference seeing it live and seeing it on a dvd, and I have to say that Anders did a great job.
Hmm, this is interesting. He sings pretty well and I could probably have put up with his slight overacting and exaggerated facial expressions as well, but then his wagging eyebrows started to drive me crazy...
But maybe I'm just biased since I'm absolutely in love with Adam Pascal's performance of this and especially the way he's quite restrained and still manages to portray all the feelings (not to mention his gorgeous voice).
This guy here doesn't seem to know that sometimes less is more.
I'm just like you. I think he sings pretty well, but he could do with a little bit less dramatic facial acting and restrain it a bit. It'd be the perfect one if he could just stop overacting.
Well, as an audience member (and also a performer myself) I'd much prefer a subtle, intelligent performance to seeing somebody making a strange face after another, especially when it's not a vaudeville musical act but a song that really can speak for itself if sung well ( as he does here, really). I don't need to see him toss his head like he does at "pappas arrogans" or repeat the same eyebrow thing over and over again when his voice is already telling me how the character feels.
I actually agree that he overact a bit too much here. To bad when he´s such a wonderful singer. I just wanted to say that it prabably has to do with that he normally acts without singing.
I posted the whole translation for this user through e-mail and it was all for naught. I never got a response. I can promise you that I won't do that again.
Acting is absolutely supereme! Unfortunately I've never seen the Musical, but know the whole CD by heart - and this representation is exactly as I imagined. Pity the Child is my favourite of the whole of Chess - and this one is SUPER!!!!
This is absolutley not a translation; it is simply a text of the original British words superimposed over this version, which has included editing and enhancements. The words do not match. This is a total disservice!
Is the Bangkok/one night in Bangkok in the swedish version also? I have yet not found it...

I´ll put my behind on the line here. I really can be wrong, which I on´t like :-).
No and yes, the actual song from the record and the stage show in London is there only brief in music not sung.
(I can´t find my DVD ) but they just let the music play while rearrangening the scen.
Just a funny thing about this song: Tim Rice got the comment you really nailed that lyrics!
And I had to say it was Björn all the way.

Anders can easily sing higher the top C's and C sharps as demonstrated in merano. Why the hell lower the key? :S

Anders is an actor in Swedens most finest and prestigious theatre
"Dramaten". When you do musicals on stage you have to "overact" so the audience can see your facial expressions. Look at opera as well.

Well that's obvious since the words he sings RHYME! I would rather see the English lyrics that rhyme as well so I can fully enjoy.
