  • LOL...SING IT JAMEY!!!!!!

  • This is allright but You all should check out" Lucky Tubbs" cover of this song

  • @KidPearlJam I have, and its horrible.

  • @nbender79 it beats this by far !!!

  • @KidPearlJam you're crazy.

  • @nbender79 you don't know shit about real country music!!!

  • The ones laughing in the crowd must not know that song is 50 years legendary now.

  • @nbender79 I was listening to and studying country music when you were shitting your pants son. Lucky Tubbs is as karaoke as it gets. Wanna be's.

  • if u think jamey butchers anysong something is wrong with your ears @svtlincoln

  • @1420mrsmoke i didn't say jamey butchered it. somebody replied to my comment and told me he butchered it. please make sure you check who you're replying to. you'd never hear a negative word bout jamey come out of my mouth.

  • Jamey is not butchering the song-----his is more bluesy than Mel Tillis' original version or even Waylon's or Barbara Mandrell's versions-----all good interpretations of a great song by the ole Stuttering Boy Mel Tillis

  • Jamey Johnson gives hope to the future of country music. I have had enough of all this "boy band'' crap that is comin out these days. We need more COUNTRY music artists like Johnson. Keep on truckin brother.

  • swmologger Jamey is THE REAL DEAL waylon was great but stop thinkin he was god. its music enjoy it.Lifes to short. If you don't like it go listen to old recordings and wallow in the past. Music is a Expression and an form of art not a dictatorship.Have a beer and relax and listen to what you love and enjoy peace.

  • @svtlincoln listen to the original and ull know why i said that...jamey completely butchered this song

  • im pretty sure that Waylon would kick his ass on stage if he were at this concert

  • @swmologger i'm pretty sure he wouldn't. Jamey is one of the few carrying on this type of music. how bout you keep your shit straight.

  • Jamey Johnson is the best thing that came to country music since Waylon passed away. I can't get enough of the music and I hope it comes for years to come. Jamey is a true American badass and every song he writes and sings sounds as if it has been filling the airwaves for decades!!!

  • well dadgum a guy just as good if not better then the orignal. jamey sure has talent thats for durn sure

  • i just picked up the black and white cd, it has a recording of this and its awesome

  • the other guys are for other songs they give a twang here and there sometimes

  • Gibson own Epiphone so not really a copy - just the budget version !!!

  • i love this series and I love jamie but who are those guys sitting next to him that never do fuck all?

  • @nashvillehigh The other guys are fabulous songwriters and artists. It was a great show at Key West and they each had their moments. They were all great Raul Malo, Robert Earl Keen......alll have a huge history a lot longer than Jamey. He is the new guy on the block....and he obviously respects them.

  • @nashvillehigh you tell 'em man!

  • @lvmarine03 I'm sure they are, you probably just can't see them. I LOVE JAMEY JOHNSON!! He's my FAVORITE!!!! Thanks for posting these videos, they're reallly awesome!!!

  • @lvmarine03 brother you got to listen to some robert earl keen. he actually lives in the same small town i go to school in. kerrville, texas

  • @lvmarine03 settle down before you write something annoying

  • @lvmarine03

Well, they never do anything while Jamey's doing his stuff, 'cause they're being polite. And when they do their songs, he doesn't do fuck all, 'cause he's being polite back. That's just simple honor and respect among songwriters. You can find the other guys' vids from the show on Nashvillehigh. And "those guys" are Raul Malo, who was great with the Mavericks and is great on his own. And the other guy is Robert Earl Keen, a truly legendary singer-songwriter. It was an AMAZING show.

  • @lvmarine03 DONT LOOK AT THEM<ITS NOT ABOUT THEM....want some cheese to go w/ that

  • love jamey..anyone know what kind of guitar he's playin?

  • @johnnycashjr1 epiphone hummingbird(gibson copy)

  • @johnnycashjr1 its a EJ-200 cut away epiphone....epiphone version from the gibson.

  • why is the audience laughing like the song is hysterically funny? I mean, I love this song, and it's not a bad cover - it's just odd that everyone thinks it's so funny. Kinda dark, and kinda witty - yes.

  • Ol Hoss woulda liked this.

  • I've never heard of him before but am a big Waylon fan. Its amazing how much sexier he got after I heard him sing that song.

  • lucky tubb also did this on his damn the luck album jamey is doing one hell of a job to keep the outlaw music alive

  • lucky tubb even did a cover of this song on his damn the luck cd these guys r putting out good stuff keep it comin jamey

  • He's Trying too hard to he Waylon! The Neckless, strap and the covers. I Liked his First album hand parts of his "That Lonesome Song" But come on Jamey...

  • Mel Tillis wrote it, Waylon Jennings sang it, and Jamey Johnson did one hell of a job performing it.

  • @SouthernThunder09

I think it was Kris Kristofferson who wrote it but either way its a great song

  • @trojapa Either Way check your facts first. It was written by Mel Tillis.

  • wow this guy is amazing! His voice is so unique and classic! We need more country artist that keep it clean, crisp and classic! This man is like a cross between Waylon & Jones hahaha awesome !! LONG LIVE JAMEY!!!!!
