@Terrashock, you do raise an excellent point. However, The Emperor would most likely have NOT allied with the Tau. This is due to the fact that the Emperor would allow into the Imperium those who looked and thought like humanity, such as the Ogryn or Ratlings. As the Tau look completely inhuman, they would not be accepted, despite their ideals. The same also goes for the Eldar. Still, you do raise a valid point, and I belive that he at least wouldn't wage war against the Tau.

@Migueria I actually read the Horus Heresy books that explain a huge amount of the story. After reading them you are completely write, the Emperor never wished to be seen as a God or any kind of Deity. But when he fell in combat and the Imperium of man splintered due to Chaos he was proclaimed so.

But I feel bad for Horus, in the stories his Heresy was planned by Chaos. Who tricked Horus into believing that the Emperor didn't care for his most cherished son.
