If some she can comes back to play that song on stage it would be very great, the song is one of my favourite jame, for real though.Sadly and sorrowly she never had the recognation she deserves.I think some rappers should at least make a cover of this song and inviting her as a featuring on this joint.I remember i was sleeping with my radio on all night and heard this song,.I'm glad to be among of plenty music funk lovers
Glad to see this has 40,000 well-deserved hits. One of the most crystalline and classiest tunes of '80s R&B. I belonged to the club D.J.s who used to spin this. Interesting to see a smooth-jazz contingent telling their story, too. It makes sense today. Love ya, Mildred!
this sort of a gem use to get people up close on the dance floor, grinding.in bristol"busbys nightclub", mid 80s.was listening to the controllers-stay too.memory lane, i want to go back lol.
@LaCriollaRoja Some of us are still producing quality music like this - this was my production from back in 1988 - I make records the same way today -
@mwhite36 lol I know, I mean the way they're overlooked for today's lackluster singers and cookiecutter beats is sad... But glad to see more people know about today's greats :)
One of my favorites. This was from a really good album. I wish someone would upload "let's talk it over" from the same album, it was a killer smoocher :D
During year 1987 this gorgeous song was let listen by the accompanied Mexican radio of the elegant voice of but great speaker who finds had our country (Roberto Morales and Jazz fm 104,1) These sounds takes to me to remember those unforgettable years 80s! Whatever wished to return it to enjoy Thank you very much! : )
I absolutely love this song I had not heard this song in about 20 years. I've been trying so hard to find this songs because it reminds me of such good times. I wonder if her cd is available??????
Her version of A Love Of Your Own by the Average White Band drew my attention to her. Anyway, a friend and I were looking for something to do and heard Millie was playing at some restaurant/bar in the Detroit 'burbs one night.
Friend: I'll bet that's her over there.
Me: Who? Where?
Friend? This Millie Scott. At that table. The one that just pulled the microphone out of her purse.
I have this one in my collection, 85-87 had the best soul and rnb tunes, really you could dance for hours and not get tired. I am not really missing this sound because I have plenty in my private collection but I pity those that have to bear with all the gangsta sh** they feeding us today!! I want soul back on the airwaves, let's start boycott gangsta and any artist who is named lil' this or lil' that!!
Love it! This was one of my favorite jams from the 80's. LOL! I would play this the minute I got home from work to *celebrate* the end of another hard day, and dance all around the house. This one brought back a lot of smiles--and besides, Millie can sing her a** off! Many thanks for your great taste in music, keep on keeping on---
Wow! How did the scenary and all look? I know this had to come out around 1987, so I have a feeling the 80s styles were off the chain in the video. Was it played a lot on BET back in the day?
She was on stage with an audience. The video was recorded in concert style. I was there at the taping but have never seen it. I hope that she or someone else who has a copy will download it here.
Ca- ra- ca ....qtº tempo para ver e ouvir essa maravilha que é essa música ...bons tempos ..grande mas grande música...Demais ouvir isso dá vontade de voltar no tempo e que tempo.
