  • question- i have a rf fm transmitter that is set to 89.3 fm. i did the calculations already and i know that each side of my dipole has to be 2 feet.but my main question is instead of using wires, can i use to pieces of copper pipe and solder my transmission line to them. its all still metal right? lemme know.once again its for regular fm radio.

  • Hi

I used some copper water pipes for two dipoles that I made and they work very well. I think most metals can be used but copper is very conductive and easy to cut.

  • I enjoy making dipoles myself, I need to build one for 160m. Great video 73 DE Jay KI4SHQ

  • Good luck. I love building wire antennas. when you find your favorite swl band. You might try the loop anenna as they can null noise and also inhance the signal. Thanks for the clip. Please keep us informed.
