hey Tmk, if you have trouble with remembering codes for MK DA, MK D and MK A, do what I did, write them on a small slip of paper, and put it in the case behind the manual :) helps me out a lot ^_^

i have deception for psp (kalled mk:unchained for some reason) ITS AWESOME!!! 30 Kharakters, 6 special ones (goro, shaokahn, kitana, jax, frost, blaze(all exept blaze with ONE fatality), multiplayer mode, i love it! The slaughterhouse is really by far the best stage. with the stage fatality and the awesome music...PURE GREATNESS!!! great review by the way^^

Reason one it beats it is they took out the fatalitys, reason two is that the konquest mode was the best one so far, and the third reason is that i really liked some of the kontent that u kould unlock like the movies and the cards... OH, and another reason is that scorpion some times breaks his own neck when he is about to get fatalityed! lol

What the heck is the difference from NTSC and PAL?. will PAL work on a NTSC system ? ect..

The difference is the regional coding. Like normal DVDs, most last gen and below games have a certain region block encoded into the disk that makes it so it can only be used on a player/console from that region. PAL and NTSC aren't compatable with one another.

However, Blu-ray disks (Including PS3 games) have NO REGION CODING, and thus any game/movie made on a blu-ray disk will work in any blu-ray player or PS3.

There is more to it that just the regional lockouts. PAL runs 4% faster than NTSC causing music / sounds and gameplay to be slightly faster. Also the PAL video signal has 30 extra vertical lines of video resolution making a clearer picture than NTSC.

Video games are not shot on film... so they are not effected by the PAL speed increase.

No it is not! PAL uses a 50 HZ frequency and NTSC 60HZ! When I played my Virtua fighter 4 at 50 HZ it was cool but i tried it 60 HZ and it was much faster!

Have you never heard of the term "PAL speed up"? This a reason why American versions of various media is longer because they have more time to fit frames into. It is also why music is faster on PAL. PAL scans 50 times a second NTSC scans 60 times a second. Now a film generates 24 fps. PAL is 50 fields a second with half and image shown then the other half there for 25 fps so there arn't enough frames so one is repeated, hence people used to NTSC see a flicker. PAL faster, NTSC is clearer though.

Pal speed up should only effect movies shot on film cos of the 24 fps of film, NTSC is lower res but can be displayed progressively PAL games should run slower because they have a 50hz refresh rate, also retro games will probably have borders on the picture because of the extra resolution of PAL not being used. To stop movies sounding sped up they use a pitch shifter to make it sound normal, but in movies the score will soon run out of sync when played at the same time as it's soundtrack on a CD

Most of what you are saying is totaly correct, except I have PAL games that run faster, and example of this is Sonic The Hedeghog on my PAL Xbox360 it runs faster than the original Genesis version.

Wow that is weird. I have seen vids on youtube where people have mod switches on their megadrive to swith to 60Hz. There is usually an increase in speed on the music. I would like to try deception on gamecube. Have to import it, good old Freeloader! Good vids btw :)

I remember when I first heard about Deception and when it was coming out for the XBox and PS2 only. At first I bought the XBox because I thought that it wasn't coming out for Cube and then I find out months later that it is coming out for Cube and had extra characters, I was a bit pissed but I had already beat the XBox version so there was no point in me buying the Cube version, for only those two characters.

I did however buy the PSP version which has even more characters. Great Review *****
