Darkness was pretty comfortable before I was conceived. It's probably gonna be as comfortable when I die. It's sad that so many humans won't get up and look around during this short period in between.

It scares them that they will Die and that when they die they will be as they were before they were conceived. I've seen people tell the stories of their conversion from fundamentalism, usually straight to atheism because of the harshness of their starting dogma. The stories don't usually go "because some guy on youtube brought item X to my attention". Usually they have to come across the information on their own.
However I still think it's possible. And anyway I still think it's useful getting the information out there.. hell, I've learned a few things along the way.

You're not converting fundamentalists but you do protect people on the sidelines or in the middle from being suckered by the loons. There are SOME people who will be influenced down the line as these ideas gain traction or are solidified in the minds that you do touch. You also help people who agree with your opinions feel better about (and less isolated by) their beliefs, that is very important for many.

Yet, a lot of people do undetstand what you are illuminating and change their minds because of it. You might not know about them, but I'm sure they are there. I have been changed my mind after reading books, watching videos, etc., and I'm sure I'm not alone.
The older I get and the more I learn, the less I know. For, as every fact enters the coffers of my mind, the more new things to know are discovered. The end result is my growing accumulation of knowledge becomes a smaller and smaller fraction of what there is to know!

My knowledge in a wide array of subjects has increased exponentially because of Youtube. While it's extremely rare (if not impossible) that any fundamentalists wackos will be swayed by any rational argument made on Youtube, for people who are/were ignorant of many things (as I was when I started my account) but have an honest desire to learn (as I do), Youtube has been invaluable.
I mean, I easily can get about weeks worth of material to intensively research from a single AronRa video alone.
