I'll be getting this laptop Today, but I went all out and got the Quad core version with 8GB ram 1TB drive and 3 12 cell batteries.

Yep unfortuantely I do not post videos since that is not my thing. However I got it cheap because it was factory refurbished (looks brand new). Yes it also comes with a GT 260M 1GB video card. However only problem I have is the battery life. It came only with a 8cell battery that lasts 40mins-1hr. I paid $1,4000 online on ebay :)

I did have some problem with my laptop though. Mostly it's small annoying things like the volume thing on the front panel that makes that weird noise when you press it. Like that ticktickticktick and it slows down the laptop a bit. Also when the laptop crashes and wifi is off, it will disable all network adapters. and you will need to reboot holding the wifi icon. Do you experience this with your HDX18T?

Unfortunately I missed the Upgrade by 1 month, however I got a Free copy of Windows 7 through my school because I am an IT student. I completely reformatted and installed windows 7 its running extremely smooth.

The tick tick issue is easy to solve by removing the stupid quick launch or just stopping it from starting up. It still lets you turn the volume up and down just without the tick tick tick and the stupid on screen display which minimizes games. As far as the other issue you been having no, absolutely not please explain in more detail this does not sound right.

That is a nice laptop its basically a remade version of Gateway's FX gaming laptop but only difference is the finger print reader. Maybe once my FX Gateway laptop kicks the bed i'll move over to the HP HDX 18 T unless Gateway pushes out another breathing taking gamer laptop.

I realy hate that touch volume control that it has, that darn thing is soo bugged/fucked up. But, I have this laptop, just 1 week old now and I am surpriced by its performance, I didn't expact it to be this good. I play most of todays games, GTA VI with middum to high setting (which is not bad, the graphics still look good) and I see about 40-20 fps. which is very playable even though the game itself has some graphic bug issues.

I just had one of these ordered for me for Christmas. I did a lot of searching, all in order to find the best replacement for my broken Vaio VGN-AX570G. This HDX 18t really fits the bill. Hey, I have a question though, what's up with the supposed option for an Internal TV Tuner? The web-site talks about it, but the sales rep said there is no such option. Have you figured out the truth behind that supposed option?
