@tunlock theres two different types of 'red dot' sights holographic and reflex, most 'holographic' sights apart from the expensive ones are actually reflex. a reflex sight is where the dot is a reflection of the glass from the base of the sight, a holographic is where the dot is suspended between the glass layers. hope that helps :D
