I am going to the club to work and after her there too, so there is going to be a fist fight when you don't have to get off a fat girl, for don't dare, how about it. Stand in the way there, get your teeth knocked out in, and pull in her mouth, for once.
do you suppose the long long Icelandic winters, the cold and darkness, result in sensory deprivation, drive the subconscious mind to fantasize & almost hallucinate? Might such an effect be the source of the Sugarcubes' wierd fantastic imaginings? Or are they just naturally happily bizarrely loony? :)
@SupernalOne Iceland has winters no longer than other places, though I am sure that is indeed a factor! I have also heard amazing wide-ranging music from Finland which is in a similar situation. But I think a more important factor is the close-knit nature of their community. This fosters acceptance and gives people the freedom to experiment.
@SupernalOne That said, this is still pop music and not that experimental in the big scheme of things. And Dadaists will be Dadaists, from time immemorial! They were a fun band live and Einar worked a lot better than on record, where we are forced to listen to the same improvised nonsense each and every time. Not to mention that being one or two metres distance from a Bjork in full flight was simply unforgettable.
i saw you guys live once--can't remember the show...you opened for someone in LA--maybe depeche mode or tears for fears? i don't know, i was like 12, but i liked it alot. so i bought the cd and told all my friends because that made me feel soooo cool! Damn i had good taste--thanks to by brother! Yeah, everyone said you stole the show...
The video is low budget of course, its not Thriller. BUT the ending of the video, with the repeated patch, is a great innovation, I remember it from the first time I saw it decades ago. Cheap and simple and sweet, but not surpassed yet by the new technology videos, where anything can be done but nothing suprises you.
Those days, they had to innovate and create from nothing.
When this was on TV, I was all like WTF. And when I came across it again now, so many years later, I'm stil all like WTF. WTF, dude. This is some crazy shit!
@microbeat77 Yes, but she doesn't embrace it anymore, tis sad...the way the eye beard adorns her face is cute in an unconventional way. Lol, but seriously.
always loved this song and video especially when he throws the plastic lobster and it almost hits the one girl dancing on the wing in the head,,,classic
Came from the east like the sun
But with tired engine
Regina otherwise magnificent
Regina in good bloom
As old as the sun
With white teeth

If you listen really carefully, you can hear someone screaming 'MURDERER' at the very start of the song. It's partly masked by the instruments.
