"that had to be the most ridicules thing iv ever seen i couldn't stop laughing" iv studied jujitsu, kempo jutsu, and aikido all my life currently in kempo jutsu, i know what is up lol, but what ever that was had to be the funnest shit iv ever seen in my fucken life
sorry but he don't know kung fu. The true kung fu man is diferent... " Não subestime o kung fu pois ele pode ser mais fatal que uma cobra e mais forte que um tigre"
@kfuceyo You are really stupid, because i am in great health and conditioning. I don't see you putting a picture up. Do you know why? Because you know not what life requires. I am a great wrestler, and decent at standup. I would destroy you, kid. Keep dreaming that you know anything about fighting, and one day you'll be up there with me. :) good day, child.
@kfuceyo You're an idiot. It's impossible. Come to my neighborhood, and see if you can take two fighters at the same time, or any fighter. I guarantee you that Anderson Silva would get his ass kicked by me and my friend at the same time.
what a fucked up society, there are people can protect themselfs with guns, CQC, even sometimes explosives. what happened to the police? not enough? too bad.
why do a people keep saying that kung fu is useless. styles dont fight people do. my kung fu school teaches ground fighting because of things like this. have any of you ever heard of shai jiao? it is basically chinese grappling except more violent but i think it can be used in full contact fighting. this INDIVIDUAL didn't know how to ground fight the other fighter took advantage of it
Actually this fight does not prove the superiority of one style over another. It simply proves the one fighter is better than the other. It is easy to see that that so call kung fu practitioner had no idea what he was doing.
man if that kung fu practioner would of got loose he wopuld off wooped his ass pussy ass shit just holding him cause he knew he would off knocked him out
@chino22854 It is an aspect of fighting that he is not ready for, hence, why he lost so bad. Kung fu is shit, you stupid fucking pussy, and he probably would have knocked his useless ass out too.
@zacktillery actually ur wrong cause kung fu can over power mma but not just anybody can do it and the ones that do u will hardly see fightinf cause its only for self defence just look that movie aboput the guy who trained bruce lee how he fought known as ip man one the best ever
@chino22854 Oh what a coincidence, because in the movie "never back down" the mma guy wins. You're stupid for mentioning movies in your argument. As for real life, kung fu doesn't mention ground game, because they are just uneducated naruto fans. Need i say more?
@chino22854 I doubt it. MMA encompasses striking as well, and somehow I doubt te kung-fu guy ever engaged in full-contact fighting before this. The MMA fighter (John Marsh) just took it to the ground because the kung-fu guy left himself wide open and it's instinctive for a fighter to take advantage of every possible weakness.
@LUVMAGNUMGUNS2 You know what both of them say about fighting? "You are never above the basics." I would rather win 1,000,000 matches with a key lock, than lose and get mine broken. It's about winning, not about who looks cooler doing it. You know what Rashad Evans coach always says about a fight? "If the crowd is booing, you are doing something right."
@zacktillery, according to me fighting is an art, I love to watch those who know Kung Fu perform it but I've never found any satisfaction in watching MMA fighters strangle each other.
If I've spread joy and wonder I know I've won!
Besides, I'd like to see an MMA fighter vs. a Kung Fu master - both armed with bamboo spears...
@Knifedwarf It comes down to who is smarter. He'd have the spear, the MMA guy would be smart, and bring a gun. Problem solved. As for hand to hand, we've all seen what SIMPLE ground work can do to traditional martial arts. (Royce Gracie) Lost on both accounts. Wow.
@zacktillery Not really. MMA is a high-level, pre-emeptive (as in you are both prepared) brawling system. It's not martial arts. I don't mean that in a patronizing way. It is purely that MMA teaches people to brawl, or fight 1-on-1 in a controlled environment. Martial Arts is not pre-emptive, it's about being in a totally unexpected, unpredictable, rule-less environment and doing what you can to survive. What can you use in your environment to survive if you don't have a gun?
@notdrockok I always carry a gun, so i couldn't tell you. As for "unprepared" only idiots are constantly being vigilant. It is easy to spot places that are "out of the way" such as bad allyways and stuff. If you do ever find yourself in a position where there are many people attacking, you might as well plead to save your life. There is NO way anyone can take more than one person. You see demonstrations of "multiple attackers vs XXX" all the time. However, you see they come ONE at a time.
@zacktillery bro, im with you on the weapon thing, i always carry my knife with me, doesnt matter how good the dude is, he'll stop if he has a hole in him. But the 'NO way to take on more than one attacker' thing? Not true bro,i got jumped about 2 years ago by three asian dudes, all of em about 16 or 17 years old, and i beat the crap out of them. you can take them on and win if they are shit at fighting man, easy. taking on people stronger than you though, yeah no chance, just run.
@theophilis You can take on stronger people than you. Many martial arts have techniques where you use the opponent's strength against them, or redirect the blow to create an opening for a vital blow that'll stop even a 275 lbs. biker gang member.
@figgywurmack He would inevitably take me down, in which i would just stalemate him in guard. I might get hurt, but my friend would stab him in the back with a knife. Who won then?
@zacktillery u wouldnt be able to stalemate lesnar with ur guard unless ur 260 and a bjj black belt dont be silly man and he wouldnt need to take u down he could hit u wit a punch and prob knock ur head off haha... as for ur friend with the knifed i suppose if weapons are involved all bets are off but a knife wont put someone down... what kind of gun do u carry around wit u? just out of interest
@jjgalvan18 To me? They teach navy seals kick boxing, after they learn the basics of gracie jiu jitsu. After that, and MANY years of dedication, they teach them how to use their weapons more, not their hands. If you have enough teamwork, you'll NEVER have to do hand to hand combat.
@specialforces69 ok may be I should have been more clear. In a street fight, you do not want to go down to the ground. Didn't mean BJJ is useess like it not useful generally. Not insulting it
@samin62 Why don't you want to go to the ground in a street fight? I would argue that it depends upon the fight. Moreover, BJJ teaches you how to get up from the ground as well, which is inherently beneficial in a street fight.
Lastly, the vast majority of street fights are 1 on 1 as many FBI statistics show. A person's friends rarely "jump in". To the contrary, they freeze, which is the norm.
@specialforces69 "kung fu" part will never happen unless its a very controlled environment. IE, not real life. BJJ is pretty useless too but it can still be useful if you are good at it
HAHHAHAAHAHHAHAHAHA bro that was funny!!!! And yeah its me!! like my sister had to delete my YouTube account cause she made a mistake and was using my e-mail for her Google account so I had to make a new one. And I tried finding the comment u made on epic rap battles of history I couldn't find it. So yeah srry if got mad bro I really wanted to get u. P.S: did u like my user name?
@herpescookiemoster lol sure i like it and at first you got me kinda pissed i was like OMG THIS KID IS SO FUCKING IGNORANT but then i kept looking back at what you said about chael sonnen and i was like.... this is paulo lol
@XXjofroXX lol yeah I wanted to get u pretty angry by changing the topic to Chael Sonnen. And its gona be awesome to troll people with this nick name!
well you can think what you want because your obviously a low life who goes by anything anyone tells you instead of being the voice of expiereience and your bestfriends sisters boyfriend obviously dosent know shit about anything because american top team is the gym with the most BJJ blackbelts in the world besides some gyms in Brazil and its ATT's kickboxing team is very feared and its boxing is great and chael sonnen isnt a champion hes a blanket, and if this is paulo im gonna woop your ass
I'm tired of kung fu being summed up with jeet kune do ametuers. Jeet kune do isn't that good of a form and it's a sad pervertion of wing chun which also has lost it's flavor since coming to america. A real kung fu fighter would have taken advantage of the openings on that guys neck and wrists to get out of the hold instead of flopping around trying to regain footing. But I'll admit the mma guy was well seasoned for fighting and under weight guy. Normally skinny guys like him are hard to catch.
i been doing mma for about a year now and if you want a fair fight you can't put an mma fighter against some1 who only does kung fu, its like putting a sprinter against a marothon runner over 100 metres. if you asked an mma fighter to go against a kung fo fighter and stick to kung fu rules, there will be only 1 out come, kung fu will win everytime. saying that if your after just general self defence you can't go wrong with mma cause your taught a bit of everything
for all you noobs out there, kung fu is not a sport, it is a self defence martial art, so against an mma fighter, the mma fighter will clearly win, MMA is JKD just modernized, So dont bother fighting an mma fighter, cuz you will get owned lol
ah, and i must make a correction. 700BC is the oldest of Pankration. Later Alexander the Great brought it in India, over 300BC (now is my idea more complete). But ok, that's just a theory until now.
The kung fu that shaolin monks used was actually invented for real life situations. The monks would get robbed of their supplies so they had to defend themselves, and the fact is kung fu worked for them. And a lot of practioners of kung fu that are very good, won't just go out and fight a guy. The point of kung fu is that it's a philosphy along with a martial art. It's not meant for arena fighting, it's meant for defending yourself, and incapacitating someone that is trying to hurt you.
@GleekyMusician As with all martial arts, kung fu was written down during times of peace and during that time it was added to by wannabe masters who invented pointless, showy techniques that were untested in battle and utterly useless. The shaolin temple was destroyed. Kung fu today is just a tourist attraction recreated from some books containing fanciful techniques invented by guys who have never been in a fight of any kind.
@inkeininja You're not getting the point. Kung Fu isn't just fighting and trying to beat someone up. Real kung fu (in the martial arts form) is about working to improve spiritually, and working hard to achieve a goal over time. My Kung Fu could be that I'm really good at the drums, since I work really hard at learning how to play the drums. And Bruce Lee was a kung fu fighter, and he had definately been in fights. He would constantly get picked on by people for his race. And guess what? He won
Bruce Lee was not just an actor, he was the Master of Jee Kune Do. A Shaolin Monk is trained to kill so I dont think an MMA fighter can stand a chance for long.
@Diablo99V RUBBISH! They are trained to attract tourists. The young wannabes are forced to lear some gymnastics to do demonstrations for money. The ones who can't do that, or can't do that ANYMORE, hang around the temple pretending to train. They do this in shifts. The actual monks don't do fuck all and would get killed in a fight against the young kids they exploit for profit, The whole temple is a SCAM and you fan-boys are so invested in your belief by now that you are blind to the truth
@oscie1 Because they are fake. The kids you see doing all the pointless gymnastics crap are used to pull in tourists. The "training" is pointless, easy crap and they take turns. You won't ever see the same kid training 2 days in a row. Half the time, these kids are doing chores so the lazy ass monks don't ever have to do any work. And don't think they train, because they don't. You won't catch an actual shaolin monk training unless there is a camera crew in the temple. It's FAKE. Sorry.
@inkeininja You are a complete idiot, go and type in shifu yan lei or shi xing hong, no one would dare challenge them. Those kids dont learn kungfu but wushu, real kungfu is not about the forms or moves and its a secret and taught to only a few, i posess some of this secret knowledge. There is a reason why the top monks can stand on one finger and take hard blows to the body, but its not for people like you.
@oscie1 " type in shifu yan lei or shi xing hong, no one would dare challenge them...real kungfu is not about the forms or moves and its a secret and taught to only a few, i posess some of this secret knowledge."
shifu yan lei moves like a thai boxer but probably doesn't spar.
shi xing hong appears to be your typical monk dude.
What makes you think an mma fighter would be intimidated by them?
"the top monks can stand on one finger" I'd like to see it. Link me up
@afreiden Yan lei is a boss! /watch?v=vD75-zRluy0 iron shirt demo and watch his other clips also he does spar, ALOT.Shi xing hong is not your typical monk and now teaches hungarys special forces /watch?v=qfzAptBftwU, no one has this type of speed. And for the one finger handstand /watch?v=_u6WWuUoEnE skip to 0;44. and of course there is the video of the 86 year old hai teng who made the skill famous. No mma fighters would challenge these guys EVER, get the fuck outta here
@afreiden I see you are American so i forgive you for your ignorance but Real Shaolin kungfu has been effective in real wars and situations since 500 AD up until 1928 when it was burnt down, you cannot compare it to MMA which is only 20 years old.Not only that but if you actually did some research you would learn that ALL the training in MMA including karate muay thai and jujitsu were already used in shaolin.Dont worry though the time is coming soon when real masters will enter the big scene
the first ancestor of MMA is the greek Pankration (if you look at Human Weapon, Pangrateion you will see the similarity is shocking). Pankration was an art for war, greek, macedonians and roman soldiers trained Pankration. It is about 2700 years old. Also i don't know if the oldest of a MA is automatically a proof (valid for any field). It is about evolution as well.
"Dont worry though the time is coming soon when real masters will enter the big scene"
also there would be one more question: if the shaolin (and as you said, until 1928 ) were the only real KF masters, and that is the only real KF, and the other ones doesn't count, what are the other ones KF doing ? Are they fake and are they practicing a fake martial art? In this case why bother? Also there are theory"s that 700 AD Alexander the Great and his soldiers brought Pankration to India, and the indian monks brought this MA to China.
@afreiden Lastly can you imagine the pressure and force of a finger that can support the entire body weight.Try shooting in for a take down and all he has to do is stab you with that finger and you will be severly injured, Dana white would be to afraid to let someone fight with that power at his fingertips, and imagine if you knew that your strikes would severly injure your opponent and they had no chance against you, would you fight knowing you could ruin someones health and life?No
"Lastly can you imagine the pressure and force of a finger that can support the entire body weight.Try shooting in for a take down and all he has to do is stab you with that finger and you will be severly injured"
Can you imagine the pressure and force from a strike from one of those dudes who breaks a stack of bricks... all he has to do is..
Oh wait, that guy lost in UFC 2..
"the time is coming soon when real masters will enter the big scene"

also those type of masters ( including also Iron Palm experts who could smash rocks with palm ) fought dozens of times with Thais in the past century and got every time badly beaten. One of them is Xu Xiaolong who called a Thai Boxer in Beijing in 1985 and challenged him for a fight. To impress him, Xu smashed a rock with his palm. 5 minutes later the Thai beat him. So, until we will see those myths confirmed (and their connection with actually fight ) we should be reserved.
@vaggoner Those "masters" dont count, they are not from the shaolin temple and thai boxings techniques all come from shaolin by the way, all that shin smashing against bamboo trees was copied from shaolin as are all the knees and elbows. All the masters from the real shaolin temple before 1928 are dead and there is historical evidence that proves that they were unbeatable before 1928.
"all that shin smashing against bamboo trees was copied from shaolin as are all the knees and elbows"
ummm...no.
those masters were ranked masters and experts in China...on their own standards.
I would like to see a proof those shaolins were unbeatable before 1928 ( btw...why before 1928...where comes this number from? ). Have they crossed with other fighters or unbeatable in China. Even i i agree with you, you just suggest there are no more real masters there, they were until '28
"All the masters from the real shaolin temple before 1928 are dead"
"Those "masters" dont count, they are not from the shaolin temple" so once again (more clear, i guess) , these are your words. The shaolin were a handful of people. Let's presume even today they would be the big deal, but still, they are few. The other ones doesn't count, because they are not from S temple. So all the KF along the world, except shaolin are fake kung fu? Also KF met MT since 1920.
ok, but in this case why should bother someone to learn Kung Fu, as far the only chance to learn the real KF is to get it from the shaolin masters who are dead from a century?
@vaggoner They shouldnt bother learning kungfu they would do much better with MMA type training which in fact is much closer to real kungfu training than all the other bullshit. The only chance to get real kungfu training is to get it from the masters who learnt from the elders who have passed away now.You will only get the special training if you become a monk.a" REAL" one not the fake gymnasts that attract tourists
@oscie1 Well that is partially correct must of the kung fu being taught is wu shu. Here is the big difference the old kung fu you would have to go through years of intense hard and soft chi kung conditioning like the different iron palms and iron shirts first and then and only after mastering that would they teach you the techniques. Now if you can find a place that is teaching the real stuff it is taught backwards, the iron palms and shirts are taught after a few years of practicing techniques
@Consciouslivingbiz There is still real shaolin fighting monks, there was a few monks that stayed in the temple after it was destroyed, but after gun powder the demand for the most powerful skills started to fade away so did the skills. It takes at least 3 years to master most of these skills and some take 10 to 15 years. It's very rare that you would find someone willing to hit a tree for a year and then a concrete pile for a few more before pounding away at iron itself.
@Consciouslivingbiz What is very rare is to find someone who will teach you the secret energy practices that will allow you to hit a tree for a year without hurting yourself and actually developing the skill.Any normal person practicing the techniques in the 72 shaolin arts book will fail without the qigong and neikung secret knowledge.
@oscie1 Well that is not true and this is why and the important part left out of that book. It's dit da jow and other herbal recipes that will regulate chi flow. Today we have increase our knowledge of the body and it's different systems and that includes the energy system ( believe it or not ) Where as in the past they teach you to train every day none stop, I teach my students to take breaks to let the body heal especially in the beginning, it is also important to relax.
@Consciouslivingbiz The problem with people that start that kind of training today is that they don't have someone to guide them, so they get over zealous and try to hit harder then their bodies can handle and if practice this way yes you are doomed to fail. You have to realize it will take years to master which ever exercise you are working on. Now I do agree if you have knowledge of chi and how to cultivate it your training will be much easier and faster, but
@Consciouslivingbiz all the exercises you are referring to can be mastered with out prior knowledge of chi. The exercise it self will teach you what you need to know. The hard exercises just require you to relax in the movement and the act itself will pack chi into the body part until what ever body part you are working on becomes like iron. The soft ones also require you to relax and, in that relaxation your awareness will grow and your ability to move chi and the density of the chi.
@Consciouslivingbiz If you dont draw any energy from the universe into you and have alot stored up you will drain out your natural reserves by practicing the hard exercises which will only make you unhealthy and shorten your life span. The soft exercises are drawing in, circulating and compressing the chi with your intention, relaxation comes about naturally after continuous repetitions.
@oscie1 Well actually if you don't know how to cultivate chi it's the soft chi kung that will drain your original chi, not the hard. The hard packs the chi into the body part of choice. Hence bones get harder, muscles and connective tissue become harder as well. The body begins to radiate chi where you are doing the practice. It has to in order to protect the body from damage, that is why it is important to progress slowly so you don't damage your body before this happens
@Consciouslivingbiz Yes i agree with you! Its all about the secret chikung, neikung, tao kung and shen kung trainings, once the various energy systems in the body were energized to a high level and the blood was strengthened and increased ,then techniques would be learned. The only problem is that most chikung systems today are missing big pieces of the puzzle!!The deeper aspects are connected to daoist magic and esoteric powers and amazing abilities. It is an unfortunate situation!
@oscie1 Your knowledge of these matters seems to be pretty detailed. Let me give you the missing piece, that is awareness or consciousness. Building your awareness will open the door to all these practices you refer to. It is what all the exercises you refer to is design to do, build your consciousness or awareness. Let me leave you with this, if it was mastered in the past you to can master it now and it will be easier for you than it was for them. If you have questions I will help you.
@Consciouslivingbiz Yes this is the most important but so are the 7 different methods of breathing combined with circulating and drawing in energy through the yin a yang channels, compressing the chi and transforming it into jing , circulating this sexual energy around the spine without losing the sperm, developing the secret yellow palace energy center(solar plexus) and not just the dan tiens, the mingmen behind the waist is also very importantfor martial arts. And much more
@oscie1 Well it sounds like your seeking immortally, well at least your talking about the beginning steps. If you want to get good at kung fu and it's different skills you must learn to transform shen into chi and then into jing within a single breath matter in fact every breath. Guess what shen is your awareness, your consciousness. So here is the process you start by expanding out your awareness, where you are connected to everything around you, your opponent, the ground, the air, trees.
@Consciouslivingbiz you feel as everything around you is inside you. Then as you breath in you pull in the chi into your bodies energy centers you can use the dan teins but I pull it into the centers of the microcosmic orbit and the yang organs. You got this step down when you can feel the chi coming in but yet you are still aware of the area around you. After that when your breathing out you condense the chi down into jing and push it through your meridians. All this happens in 1 breath
@Consciouslivingbiz If you can do this with every breath you have reach success, So what do you think about this secret formula lol. You will not find anybody able to teach it to you accept me, although if you focus on building your awareness instead of mindlessly circulating chi around your body, you'll come by it naturally. I suggest oscie1 that you deflate your ego a little and pay attention. Sometimes the thing you want the most come knocking at your door are you smart enough to take it
hmmm...this is very interresting though. You both are!
I think, that both of you are confusing the matters of life and death here.
Like, MMA is so much more brutal, therefor pretty effective as the video shows.
But, when its a fight to the death, and you wont see that on youtube, or you local tv station, then what would be the case??? I know we are talking sports, but dont confuse certain things here...
Ground game almost always wins in a real fight. The only way a martial artist who's primary focus is on striking can win is if they have the ability to keep the fight on it's feet. Sorry, no current Kung Fu masters in the UFC.
@Lucanking Lol, its the fighter not the art. Kung Fu has won several times against mma and has been recorded. Check good sanda or sanshou practioners like Cung Le, also note that any striking art like boxing or muay thai can be owned like this by jiu jitsu. Thats why i choose to train multiple arts :P.
K this is real cute but everyone knows kung fu doesnt go to the ground. In a real fight its unwise to go to the ground at all. Id like to see them actually fight on their feet, not hug ob the floor
@TheKing5822 Whatare What are you talking about? In a real fight, if you combatant is unskilled on the ground, and you are, then you should take that advantage and use it. That extremely wise, not unwise. It's completely wise to go to the ground in a "real" fight. What do you think mma fights are? Cat fights? They are real fights. I don't care if they are paid to fight, they are real fights, with real punches, and real consequences.
@1FutureMarine1 I don't disagree with anything your saying man. However, in a serious fight where your life is at risk its not smart to go to the ground, because most of the time there are other people involved and while your on the ground, your opponents buddy is going to smash your face in with a steel toed shoe. Thats why the military tells you to avoid groundfighting. youl learn that in the marines, if your username is accurate
@Ljenkins9000 Yeah they do because certain situations require grappling im not denying that but every special forces agency in the world tells you to avoid going to the ground, aside from the fact that they could grab your weapons, someone standing up can easily kill you while your laying down. I have a friend who recently got out of buds and seal training look at your comment and he couldn't stop laughing. The reality is that groundfighting is effective in mma bcuz mma is a sport, not reality
"a friend who recently got out of buds and seal training look at your comment and he couldn't stop laughing."
Wow, it seems like every person who was ever trained as a Seal is spending all their time on youtube looking at my comments.
"someone standing up can easily kill you"
This is a moot point. It's like saying you shouldn't learn how to use a knife because someone with a gun can easily kill you. I wonder if your Seal friend would laugh at me saying he should carry a knife on him.
@TheKing5822 "The reality is that groundfighting is effective in mma bcuz mma is a sport, not reality"
No, it's effective because it's hand to hand, one on one. I don't know how you can say that what works in a sport which pits two people against each other with either little or no rules, could not work in reality. That's stupid. Just because it's a sport it doesn't work? Dumb.
@TheKing5822 hey dude i like kung fu more than mma but try not to bash on other fighting styles. remember, its the fighter that matters not the style (except western boxing, no use of legs renders it pretty useless).
@Ihasabuket "(except western boxing, no use of legs renders it pretty useless)."
Is that so? While I understand that if I tell you everyone in MMA uses Boxing because it works, you will just say "MMA IZ SPORT AND THEREFORE DUZNT WERK BUT I DONT KNOW WHY THAT IZ", so,
Let's see how Boxing does in real life against multiple opponents...
@Ljenkins9000 i apologize, allow me to rephrase that, western boxers who dont have prior experience with any kicks are at a disadvantage against a martial artist who has experience kicking although it is possible for them to beat the other. i should not have put "renders it useless" because it is not what i meant.
@Ihasabuket "western boxers who dont have prior experience with any kicks are at a disadvantage against a martial artist who has experience kicking"
In theory yes. In reality though, this is only true when it is a Kickboxer, Muay Thai or Kyokushin practitioner. The reason for this is that almost all other MA styles with kicks rarely spar enough (or hard enough) to be better than crappy kickboxers when they fight.
@Ihasabuket I didn't mean to bash any styles im just saying that OF COURSE an mma guy is going to beat a kung fu guy on the ground. That like a navy SEAL beating a guy in the airforce at swimming and call it a victory. They should fight hand to hand if they want to test both of their actual training.
@TheKing5822 "They should fight hand to hand if they want to test both of their actual training."
Now if only there was some kind of venue for pure strikers only which KF guys could compete with other strikers, like the Thais for instance... Nothing comes to mind though. Oh well.
@Ljenkins9000 That has literally nothing to do with the context of this video. Pit someone who has no ground training vs someone who does it frequently and of course the experienced man will win.. To say that kung fu is illegitamate because of the mma guy beating the kung fu guy is nonsense. Its the person, not the style that wins or loses. Of course, mma guys are usually too caught up in hype and way too busy being abrasive to learn some life lessons and some mutual respect amongst styles.
@TheKing5822 "To say that kung fu is illegitamate because of the mma guy beating the kung fu guy is nonsense. Its the person, not the style that wins or loses"
And yet every Kung Fu person who has fought full contact anything has lost ever since they first got smashed by the Thais 90 years ago. But of course, it's not the style that made them bad, even though mountains of empirical evidence strongly suggests it is.
@Ljenkins9000 All I have to say is Bruce Lee. was he a bad fighter? hes ackowledged to be one the greatest martial artists of all time. And all his original training was kung fu
@TheKing5822 "All I have to say is Bruce Lee. was he a bad fighter?"
He wasn't a fighter. He was an actor. Bruce Lee had no documented fights except the one between him and Wong Jack Man. In that fight, he most likely lost.
"And all his original training was kung fu"
It was Wing Chun, and he got rid of it later on. He did no other Kung Fu training. Speaking of which, here's one of his instructors fighting on the super deadly Hong Kong rooftops: watch?v=yG_n7I7QUN0
"Of course, mma guys are usually too caught up in hype and way too busy being abrasive to learn some life lessons and some mutual respect amongst styles."
This is bullshit. I think you are just used to MMA people getting mad when you tell them what they do is not real, and your katas and iron fist are real and super deadly, yet you will not fight them under any kind of rule set or lack thereof because actually testing yourself would be "disrespectful" or "dishonorable".
@Ljenkins9000 Actually thats completely wrong.Like i said, its the man not the style. And I don't hesitate to fight someone who challenges me, especially when they are as cocky as you. I was at a hookah bar two months ago with some friends talking about ma, and a guy told me how kung fu was bullshit. sure enough he was a ufc fanatic. I challenged him to a fight to prove it. We went to the back parking lot. He hurt me good but after I hit him in the solar plexus and broke his nose he had enough
@TheKing5822 "K this is real cute but everyone knows kung fu doesnt go to the ground"
Yes and that's why they don't do anything ground related. As a result, this happens. Just saying "we never go to the ground" is not going to put a magical anti-grapple force field up that will repel all grapplers from kicking your ass.
Oh and KF guys generally suck at stand up too. It's really not a very good style (or category of styles) for anything in the real world. Leave KF to the movies and grow up.
@Ljenkins9000 Haha well I read your channel bio and it seems that your a classic "tapout hype jocky." Kung fu guys do not suck at striking thats a very bold statement to make. Ever heard of Bruce Lee buddy? He was all about Kung Fu particularly Wing chun. With wing chun he defeated boxers wrestlers, and many other martial artists from china and japan. With your last statement your saying bruce lee sucked at striking. hahahaha get educated bro!
@TheKing5822 "Kung fu guys do not suck at striking thats a very bold statement to make"
So if KF practitioners get knocked out 100 out of 100 times (which is actually the case), we still can't judge it an ineffective tool to teach striking?
"Ever heard of Bruce Lee buddy? He was all about Kung Fu"
Bruce Lee never fought anybody (except Wong Jack Man, who he actually lost to), he wasn't about Kung Fu, most of what you think you know about him is myth.
@Ljenkins9000 It is literally documented you ignorant tool. a quick wiki search would have shown you that. haha to think your saying bruce lee was illegitamate is flat out adaucious. I suggest if your mma is so effective that you go to the nearest kung fu or jkd dojo and challenge the headmaster. If your style is so superior then it should be no problem right?
@TheKing5822 "It is literally documented you ignorant tool. a quick wiki search would have shown you that."
When it comes to anything martial arts related, Wikipedia is the worst source you can use.
"haha to think your saying bruce lee was illegitamate is flat out adaucious"
It has been PROVEN that Bruce Lee made most of his "fights" up. For instance, the "British Boxing champ" Gary Elms does not exist. Bruce Lee's high school also has no records of any Boxing events at that time.
@TheKing5822 "I suggest if your mma is so effective that you go to the nearest kung fu or jkd dojo and challenge the headmaster. If your style is so superior then it should be no problem right?"
This has been done 10000 times. Every fight looks just like the one above. I can link you to dozens of other vids. I'd suggest that if you want to start relearning what actually works in real fights, look at the early UFCs. They were style vs style tournaments and there were literally no rules at all.
The guy on top looked to be alot bigger than the the guy on the bottom. Just because you out weigh a guy by 50lbs and lay on top of him does not make you a great wrestler or great BJJ practitioner. Just because you wear black pyjamas does not make you a kung fu artist. Good video anyway.....
@puffie300 not because he was the better grappler ? do me a favour and watch marcelo garcia controlling larger opponents with amazing jiujitsu. Watch him sparring with arlovski or his match with mike van arsdale and explain how he is dominating despite being alot smaller. Or better yet watch royce gracie dominate larger fighters including jason delucia a kung fu practitioner with absolutely no rules. Those guys were free to bite, eye gouge and some of them did and they still got beat easily
@thecraighi You cannot compare people like Gracie, who completely honed BJJ against people like Delucia who was not a pure Kung Fu fighter, nor a master at it. Compare a master Kung Fu artist against a subpar MMA guy whose trained in multiple martial arts but never mastered any.
@puffie300 i would compare him to a kung fu master if they would compete but they dont. Any a kung fu practitioner fights and gets hammered the kung fu fans always say 'well he wasnt a real master' or 'iof that was a shaolin monk'.... watch the fight between emin boztepe and william cheung . Those two are probably the most well respected wing chun masters still around and their fight ended with windmilling and shoddy grappling. Can you not see how ridiculous that is ?
@puffie300 and it was embarrassing. Boztepe is a big dude who looks like he can at least scrap. The other guy, william cheung who trained under the most well respected wing chun teacher ever (Yip man) cant fight. His kung fu was rendered completely useless once somebody grabbed onto him. The reason why grapplers, wrestlers, judoka, bjj and mma guys crack up all the time is because kung fu guys claim that their martial art is superior but refuse to prove it in competition which is the only real
@puffie300 way to test what works without getting in dozens of street fights. BJJ showed exactly how effective it is against other martial arts in no holds barred fights. Kung fu has never done the same so it cant legitimately claim to be better. it provides zero evidence
@thecraighi I never stated Kung Fu was better than BJJ. . .The only people stating things are you. Saying Kung Fu is completely useless. All arts are beaten one way or another. Each fight is won or lost on a personal level.
After my opinion, you cant realy take MMA against one martial art. Because MMA can almost be every martial arts, it kan be karate, and maybe also some kung fu. Almost every martial arts are you allowed to use in MMA.
@10kblades Yes, anybody who does BJJ long enough will accidentally knock somebody out with a choke (I have, and never intentionally, they just didn't tap). All it takes to kill is not letting go...

@zacktillery actually ur wrong cause kung fu can over power mma but not just anybody can do it and the ones that do u will hardly see fightinf cause its only for self defence just look that movie aboput the guy who trained bruce lee how he fought known as ip man one the best ever
chino22854 2 months ago
@chino22854 Oh what a coincidence, because in the movie "never back down" the mma guy wins. You're stupid for mentioning movies in your argument. As for real life, kung fu doesn't mention ground game, because they are just uneducated naruto fans. Need i say more?
zacktillery 2 months ago

"If the crowd is booing, you are doing something right."
zacktillery 1 month ago 5
@zacktillery, according to me fighting is an art, I love to watch those who know Kung Fu perform it but I've never found any satisfaction in watching MMA fighters strangle each other.
If I've spread joy and wonder I know I've won!
Besides, I'd like to see an MMA fighter vs. a Kung Fu master - both armed with bamboo spears...
Knifedwarf 1 month ago
@Knifedwarf It comes down to who is smarter. He'd have the spear, the MMA guy would be smart, and bring a gun. Problem solved. As for hand to hand, we've all seen what SIMPLE ground work can do to traditional martial arts. (Royce Gracie) Lost on both accounts. Wow.
zacktillery 1 month ago
@zacktillery Not really. MMA is a high-level, pre-emeptive (as in you are both prepared) brawling system. It's not martial arts. I don't mean that in a patronizing way. It is purely that MMA teaches people to brawl, or fight 1-on-1 in a controlled environment. Martial Arts is not pre-emptive, it's about being in a totally unexpected, unpredictable, rule-less environment and doing what you can to survive. What can you use in your environment to survive if you don't have a gun?
notdrockok 1 month ago
@notdrockok I always carry a gun, so i couldn't tell you. As for "unprepared" only idiots are constantly being vigilant. It is easy to spot places that are "out of the way" such as bad allyways and stuff. If you do ever find yourself in a position where there are many people attacking, you might as well plead to save your life. There is NO way anyone can take more than one person. You see demonstrations of "multiple attackers vs XXX" all the time. However, you see they come ONE at a time.
zacktillery 1 month ago 3
@zacktillery bro, im with you on the weapon thing, i always carry my knife with me, doesnt matter how good the dude is, he'll stop if he has a hole in him. theophilis 1 month ago
@theophilis You can take on stronger people than you. Many martial arts have techniques where you use the opponent's strength against them, or redirect the blow to create an opening for a vital blow that'll stop even a 275 lbs. biker gang member.

samin62 3 months ago
@specialforces69 ok may be I should have been more clear. In a street fight, you do not want to go down to the ground. Didn't mean BJJ is useess like it not useful generally. Not insulting it
samin62 3 months ago
@samin62 Why don't you want to go to the ground in a street fight? I would argue that it depends upon the fight. Moreover, BJJ teaches you how to get up from the ground as well, which is inherently beneficial in a street fight.
Lastly, the vast majority of street fights are 1 on 1 as many FBI statistics show. A person's friends rarely "jump in". To the contrary, they freeze, which is the norm.

Normally skinny guys like him are hard to catch.
h3llfire7 3 months ago
i been doing mma for about a year now and if you want a fair fight you can't put an mma fighter against some1 who only does kung fu, its like putting a sprinter against a marothon runner over 100 metres. if you asked an mma fighter to go against a kung fo fighter and stick to kung fu rules, there will be only 1 out come, kung fu will win everytime. saying that if your after just general self defence you can't go wrong with mma cause your taught a bit of everything
leon2427 3 months ago
for all you noobs out there, kung fu is not a sport, it is a self defence martial art, so against an mma fighter, the mma fighter will clearly win, MMA is JKD just modernized, So dont bother fighting an mma fighter, cuz you will get owned lol

ah, and i must make a correction. 700BC is the oldest of Pankration. Later Alexander the Great brought it in India, over 300BC (now is my idea more complete). But ok, that's just a theory until now.
vaggoner 4 months ago
The kung fu that shaolin monks used was actually invented for real life situations. The monks would get robbed of their supplies so they had to defend themselves, and the fact is kung fu worked for them. And a lot of practioners of kung fu that are very good, won't just go out and fight a guy. The point of kung fu is that it's a philosphy along with a martial art. It's not meant for arena fighting, it's meant for defending yourself, and incapacitating someone that is trying to hurt you.
GleekyMusician 4 months ago
@GleekyMusician As with all martial arts, kung fu was written down during times of peace and during that time it was added to by wannabe masters who invented pointless, showy techniques that were untested in battle and utterly useless. The shaolin temple was destroyed. Kung fu today is just a tourist attraction recreated from some books containing fanciful techniques invented by guys who have never been in a fight of any kind.
inkeininja 4 months ago
@inkeininja You're not getting the point. Kung Fu isn't just fighting and trying to beat someone up. Real kung fu (in the martial arts form) is about working to improve spiritually, and working hard to achieve a goal over time. My Kung Fu could be that I'm really good at the drums, since I work really hard at learning how to play the drums. And Bruce Lee was a kung fu fighter, and he had definately been in fights. He would constantly get picked on by people for his race. And guess what? He won

@Diablo99V RUBBISH! They are trained to attract tourists. The young wannabes are forced to lear some gymnastics to do demonstrations for money. The ones who can't do that, or can't do that ANYMORE, hang around the temple pretending to train. They do this in shifts. @afreiden I see you are American so i forgive you for your ignorance but Real Shaolin kungfu has been effective in real wars and situations since 500 AD up until 1928 when it was burnt down, you cannot compare it to MMA which is only 20 years old.Not only that but if you actually did some research you would learn that ALL the training in MMA including karate muay thai and jujitsu were already used in shaolin.Dont worry though the time is coming soon when real masters will enter the big scene
oscie1 4 months ago
@oscie1
the first ancestor of MMA is the greek Pankration (if you look at Human Weapon, Pangrateion you will see the similarity is shocking). Pankration was an art for war, greek, macedonians and roman soldiers trained Pankration. It is about 2700 years old. Also i don't know if the oldest of a MA is automatically a proof (valid for any field). It is about evolution as well.
"Dont worry though the time is coming soon when real masters will enter the big scene"
would be nice...let's see.

also there would be one more question: if the shaolin (and as you said, until 1928 ) were the only real KF masters, and that is the only real KF, and the other ones doesn't count, what are the other ones KF doing ? Are they fake and are they practicing a fake martial art? In this case why bother? Also there are theory"s that 700 AD Alexander the Great and his soldiers brought Pankration to India, and the indian monks brought this MA to China.

also those type of masters ( including also Iron Palm experts who could smash rocks with palm ) fought dozens of times with Thais in the past century and got every time badly beaten. One of them is Xu Xiaolong who called a Thai Boxer in Beijing in 1985 and challenged him for a fight. To impress him, Xu smashed a rock with his palm. 5 minutes later the Thai beat him. So, until we will see those myths confirmed (and their connection with actually fight ) we should be reserved.
vaggoner 4 months ago
@vaggoner Those "masters" dont count, they are not from the shaolin temple and thai boxings techniques all come from shaolin by the way, all that shin smashing against bamboo trees was copied from shaolin as are all the knees and elbows. All the masters from the real shaolin temple before 1928 are dead and there is historical evidence that proves that they were unbeatable before 1928.

those masters were ranked masters and experts in China...on their own standards.
I would like to see a proof those shaolins were unbeatable before 1928 ( btw...why before 1928...where comes this number from? ). Have they crossed with other fighters or unbeatable in China. Even i i agree with you, you just suggest there are no more real masters there, they were until '28

Also KF met MT since 1920.

ok, but in this case why should bother someone to learn Kung Fu, as far the only chance to learn the real KF is to get it from the shaolin masters who are dead from a century?
vaggoner 4 months ago
@vaggoner They shouldnt bother learning kungfu they would do much better with MMA type training which in fact is much closer to real kungfu training than all the other bullshit. The only chance to get real kungfu training is to get it from the masters who learnt from the elders who have passed away now.You will only get the special training if you become a monk.a" REAL" one not the fake gymnasts that attract tourists
oscie1 4 months ago
@oscie1 Well that is partially correct must of the kung fu being taught is wu shu. Here is the big difference the old kung fu you would have to go through years of intense hard and soft chi kung conditioning like the different iron palms and iron shirts first and then and only after mastering that would they teach you the techniques. Now if you can find a place that is teaching the real stuff it is taught backwards, the iron palms and shirts are taught after a few years of practicing techniques
Consciouslivingbiz 4 months ago
@Consciouslivingbiz There is still real shaolin fighting monks, there was a few monks that stayed in the temple after it was destroyed, but after gun powder the demand for the most powerful skills started to fade away so did the skills. It takes at least 3 years to master most of these skills and some take 10 to 15 years. It's very rare that you would find someone willing to hit a tree for a year and then a concrete pile for a few more before pounding away at iron itself.
Consciouslivingbiz 4 months ago
@Consciouslivingbiz What is very rare is to find someone who will teach you the secret energy practices that will allow you to hit a tree for a year without hurting yourself and actually developing the skill.Any normal person practicing the techniques in the 72 shaolin arts book will fail without the qigong and neikung secret knowledge.
oscie1 4 months ago
@oscie1 Well that is not true and this is why and the important part left out of that book. It's dit da jow and other herbal recipes that will regulate chi flow. Today we have increase our knowledge of the body and it's different systems and that includes the energy system ( believe it or not ) Where as in the past they teach you to train every day none stop, I teach my students to take breaks to let the body heal especially in the beginning, it is also important to relax.
Consciouslivingbiz 4 months ago
@Consciouslivingbiz The problem with people that start that kind of training today is that they don't have someone to guide them, so they get over zealous and try to hit harder then their bodies can handle and if practice this way yes you are doomed to fail. You have to realize it will take years to master which ever exercise you are working on. Now I do agree if you have knowledge of chi and how to cultivate it your training will be much easier and faster, but
Consciouslivingbiz 4 months ago
@Consciouslivingbiz all the exercises you are referring to can be mastered with out prior knowledge of chi. The exercise it self will teach you what you need to know. The hard exercises just require you to relax in the movement and the act itself will pack chi into the body part until what ever body part you are working on becomes like iron. The soft ones also require you to relax and, in that relaxation your awareness will grow and your ability to move chi and the density of the chi.
Consciouslivingbiz 4 months ago
@Consciouslivingbiz remember as I stated before these exercises where taught first before the student had any knowledge or awareness of chi.
Consciouslivingbiz 4 months ago
@Consciouslivingbiz If you dont draw any energy from the universe into you and have alot stored up you will drain out your natural reserves by practicing the hard exercises which will only make you unhealthy and shorten your life span. The soft exercises are drawing in, circulating and compressing the chi with your intention, relaxation comes about naturally after continuous repetitions.
oscie1 4 months ago
@oscie1 Well actually if you don't know how to cultivate chi it's the soft chi kung that will drain your original chi, not the hard. The hard packs the chi into the body part of choice. Hence bones get harder, muscles and connective tissue become harder as well. The body begins to radiate chi where you are doing the practice. It has to in order to protect the body from damage, that is why it is important to progress slowly so you don't damage your body before this happens
Consciouslivingbiz 4 months ago
@Consciouslivingbiz Yes i agree with you! Its all about the secret chikung, neikung, tao kung and shen kung trainings, once the various energy systems in the body were energized to a high level and the blood was strengthened and increased ,then techniques would be learned. The only problem is that most chikung systems today are missing big pieces of the puzzle!!The deeper aspects are connected to daoist magic and esoteric powers and amazing abilities. It is an unfortunate situation!
oscie1 4 months ago
@oscie1 Your knowledge of these matters seems to be pretty detailed. Let me give you the missing piece, that is awareness or consciousness. Building your awareness will open the door to all these practices you refer to. It is what all the exercises you refer to is design to do, build your consciousness or awareness. Let me leave you with this, if it was mastered in the past you to can master it now and it will be easier for you than it was for them. If you have questions I will help you.
Consciouslivingbiz 4 months ago
@Consciouslivingbiz Yes this is the most important but so are the 7 different methods of breathing combined with circulating and drawing in energy through the yin a yang channels, compressing the chi and transforming it into jing , circulating this sexual energy around the spine without losing the sperm, developing the secret yellow palace energy center(solar plexus) and not just the dan tiens, the mingmen behind the waist is also very importantfor martial arts. And much more
oscie1 4 months ago
@oscie1 Well it sounds like your seeking immortally, well at least your talking about the beginning steps. If you want to get good at kung fu and it's different skills you must learn to transform shen into chi and then into jing within a single breath matter in fact every breath. Guess what shen is your awareness, your consciousness. So here is the process you start by expanding out your awareness, where you are connected to everything around you, your opponent, the ground, the air, trees.
Consciouslivingbiz 4 months ago
@Consciouslivingbiz you feel as everything around you is inside you. Then as you breath in you pull in the chi into your bodies energy centers you can use the dan teins but I pull it into the centers of the microcosmic orbit and the yang organs. You got this step down when you can feel the chi coming in but yet you are still aware of the area around you. After that when your breathing out you condense the chi down into jing and push it through your meridians. All this happens in 1 breath
Consciouslivingbiz 4 months ago

I know we are talking sports, but dont confuse certain things here...

sorry but mma looks gay, and this just proves it is. Jokes.

Ground game almost always wins in a real fight. The only way a martial artist who's primary focus is on striking can win is if they have the ability to keep the fight on it's feet. Sorry, no current Kung Fu masters in the UFC.

Lucanking 5 months ago
@Lucanking Lol, its the fighter not the art. Kung Fu has won several times against mma and has been recorded. Check good sanda or sanshou practioners like Cung Le, also note that any striking art like boxing or muay thai can be owned like this by jiu jitsu. Thats why i choose to train multiple arts :P.
jorgebeltran 5 months ago
K this is real cute but everyone knows kung fu doesnt go to the ground. In a real fight its unwise to go to the ground at all. Id like to see them actually fight on their feet, not hug ob the floor
TheKing5822 5 months ago
@TheKing5822 Whatare What are you talking about? In a real fight, if you combatant is unskilled on the ground, and you are, then you should take that advantage and use it. That extremely wise, not unwise. It's completely wise to go to the ground in a "real" fight. What do you think mma fights are? Cat fights? They are real fights. I don't care if they are paid to fight, they are real fights, with real punches, and real consequences.
1FutureMarine1 5 months ago
@1FutureMarine1 I don't disagree with anything your saying man. However, in a serious fight where your life is at risk its not smart to go to the ground, because most of the time there are other people involved and while your on the ground, your opponents buddy is going to smash your face in with a steel toed shoe. Thats why the military tells you to avoid groundfighting. youl learn that in the marines, if your username is accurate
TheKing5822 5 months ago
@TheKing5822 "Thats why the military tells you to avoid groundfighting."
That's weird. Last time I checked the military had been teaching BJJ based MMA for hand-to-hand combat since 2001.
Ljenkins9000 5 months ago
@Ljenkins9000 Yeah they do because certain situations require grappling im not denying that but every special forces agency in the world tells you to avoid going to the ground, aside from the fact that they could grab your weapons, someone standing up can easily kill you while your laying down. I have a friend who recently got out of buds and seal training look at your comment and he couldn't stop laughing. The reality is that groundfighting is effective in mma bcuz mma is a sport, not reality
TheKing5822 5 months ago
"a friend who recently got out of buds and seal training look at your comment and he couldn't stop laughing."
Wow, it seems like every person who was ever trained as a Seal is spending all their time on youtube looking at my comments.
"someone standing up can easily kill you"
This is a moot point. It's like saying you shouldn't learn how to use a knife because someone with a gun can easily kill you. I wonder if your Seal friend would laugh at me saying he should carry a knife on him.
Ljenkins9000 5 months ago
@TheKing5822 "The reality is that groundfighting is effective in mma bcuz mma is a sport, not reality"
No, it's effective because it's hand to hand, one on one. I don't know how you can say that what works in a sport which pits two people against each other with either little or no rules, could not work in reality. That's stupid. Just because it's a sport it doesn't work? Dumb.
Ljenkins9000 5 months ago
@TheKing5822 hey dude i like kung fu more than mma but try not to bash on other fighting styles. remember, its the fighter that matters not the style (except western boxing, no use of legs renders it pretty useless).
Ihasabuket 5 months ago
@Ihasabuket "(except western boxing, no use of legs renders it pretty useless)."
Is that so? While I understand that if I tell you everyone in MMA uses Boxing because it works, you will just say "MMA IZ SPORT AND THEREFORE DUZNT WERK BUT I DONT KNOW WHY THAT IZ", so,
Let's see how Boxing does in real life against multiple opponents...

Ljenkins9000 5 months ago
@Ljenkins9000 i apologize, allow me to rephrase that, western boxers who dont have prior experience with any kicks are at a disadvantage against a martial artist who has experience kicking although it is possible for them to beat the other. i should not have put "renders it useless" because it is not what i meant.
Ihasabuket 2 months ago
@Ihasabuket "western boxers who dont have prior experience with any kicks are at a disadvantage against a martial artist who has experience kicking"
In theory yes. In reality though, this is only true when it is a Kickboxer, Muay Thai or Kyokushin practitioner. The reason for this is that almost all other MA styles with kicks rarely spar enough (or hard enough) to be better than crappy kickboxers when they fight.
Ljenkins9000 2 months ago
@Ihasabuket Of course there are exceptions within each style, but what I said seems to be accurate about 99% of the time.
Ljenkins9000 2 months ago
@Ihasabuket I didn't mean to bash any styles im just saying that OF COURSE an mma guy is going to beat a kung fu guy on the ground. That like a navy SEAL beating a guy in the airforce at swimming and call it a victory. They should fight hand to hand if they want to test both of their actual training.
TheKing5822 5 months ago
@TheKing5822 "They should fight hand to hand if they want to test both of their actual training."
Now if only there was some kind of venue for pure strikers only which KF guys could compete with other strikers, like the Thais for instance... Nothing comes to mind though. Oh well.
Oh wait that's right, there's K-1, Muay Thai, San Shao, Boxing, Kickboxing, Pancrase, etc., etc....
Ljenkins9000 5 months ago
@Ljenkins9000 That has literally nothing to do with the context of this video. Pit someone who has no ground training vs someone who does it frequently and of course the experienced man will win.. To say that kung fu is illegitamate because of the mma guy beating the kung fu guy is nonsense. Its the person, not the style that wins or loses. Of course, mma guys are usually too caught up in hype and way too busy being abrasive to learn some life lessons and some mutual respect amongst styles.
TheKing5822 5 months ago

TheKing5822 5 months ago
@TheKing5822 "All I have to say is Bruce Lee. was he a bad fighter?"
He wasn't a fighter. He was an actor. Bruce Lee had no documented fights except the one between him and Wong Jack Man. In that fight, he most likely lost.
"And all his original training was kung fu"
It was Wing Chun, and he got rid of it later on. He did no other Kung Fu training. Speaking of which, here's one of his instructors fighting on the super deadly Hong Kong rooftops: watch?v=yG_n7I7QUN0
Ljenkins9000 4 months ago
"Of course, mma guys are usually too caught up in hype and way too busy being abrasive to learn some life lessons and some mutual respect amongst styles."
This is bullshit. I think you are just used to MMA people getting mad when you tell them what they do is not real, and your katas and iron fist are real and super deadly, yet you will not fight them under any kind of rule set or lack thereof because actually testing yourself would be "disrespectful" or "dishonorable".
Ljenkins9000 5 months ago

Ljenkins9000 5 months ago
@Ljenkins9000 Haha well I read your channel bio and it seems that your a classic "tapout hype jocky." Kung fu guys do not suck at striking thats a very bold statement to make. Ever heard of Bruce Lee buddy? He was all about Kung Fu particularly Wing chun. With wing chun he defeated boxers wrestlers, and many other martial artists from china and japan. With your last statement your saying bruce lee sucked at striking. hahahaha get educated bro!
TheKing5822 5 months ago
@TheKing5822 "Kung fu guys do not suck at striking thats a very bold statement to make"
So if KF practitioners get knocked out 100 out of 100 times (which is actually the case), we still can't judge it an ineffective tool to teach striking?
"Ever heard of Bruce Lee buddy? He was all about Kung Fu"
Bruce Lee never fought anybody (except Wong Jack Man, who he actually lost to), he wasn't about Kung Fu, most of what you think you know about him is myth.
Ljenkins9000 5 months ago
@Ljenkins9000 It is literally documented you ignorant tool. a quick wiki search would have shown you that. haha to think your saying bruce lee was illegitamate is flat out adaucious. I suggest if your mma is so effective that you go to the nearest kung fu or jkd dojo and challenge the headmaster. If your style is so superior then it should be no problem right?
TheKing5822 5 months ago
@TheKing5822 "It is literally documented you ignorant tool. a quick wiki search would have shown you that."
When it comes to anything martial arts related, Wikipedia is the worst source you can use.
"haha to think your saying bruce lee was illegitamate is flat out adaucious"
It has been PROVEN that Bruce Lee made most of his "fights" up. For instance, the "British Boxing champ" Gary Elms does not exist. Bruce Lee's high school also has no records of any Boxing events at that time.
Ljenkins9000 4 months ago
@TheKing5822 "I suggest if your mma is so effective that you go to the nearest kung fu or jkd dojo and challenge the headmaster. If your style is so superior then it should be no problem right?"
This has been done 10000 times. Every fight looks just like the one above. I can link you to dozens of other vids. I'd suggest that if you want to start relearning what actually works in real fights, look at the early UFCs. They were style vs style tournaments and there were literally no rules at all.
Ljenkins9000 4 months ago
@TheKing5822 "With wing chun he defeated boxers wrestlers"
No he didn't. However he DID make up stories about doing so. In other words, he was proven to be a liar. Go google Gary Elms for starters.
"hahahaha get educated bro!"
That's funny since this is the second history lesson I've given you.
Ljenkins9000 5 months ago
The guy on top looked to be alot bigger than the the guy on the bottom. Just because you out weigh a guy by 50lbs and lay on top of him does not make you a great wrestler or great BJJ practitioner. Just because you wear black pyjamas does not make you a kung fu artist. Good video anyway.....
faceboyfresh 5 months ago
This is the point of MMA. Be heavy enough to lay on the other guy...anyone that says this is a skilled art is an idiot. MMA is washed out.

thecraighi 5 months ago
@thecraighi He controlled him because he was much bigger...thats the only reason.
puffie300 5 months ago
@puffie300 not because he was the better grappler ? do me a favour and watch marcelo garcia controlling larger opponents with amazing jiujitsu. Watch him sparring with arlovski or his match with mike van arsdale and explain how he is dominating despite being alot smaller. Or better yet watch royce gracie dominate larger fighters including jason delucia a kung fu practitioner with absolutely no rules. Those guys were free to bite, eye gouge and some of them did and they still got beat easily
thecraighi 5 months ago
@thecraighi You cannot compare people like Gracie, who completely honed BJJ against people like Delucia who was not a pure Kung Fu fighter, nor a master at it. Compare a master Kung Fu artist against a subpar MMA guy whose trained in multiple martial arts but never mastered any.
puffie300 5 months ago
@puffie300 i would compare him to a kung fu master if they would compete but they dont. Any a kung fu practitioner fights and gets hammered the kung fu fans always say 'well he wasnt a real master' or 'iof that was a shaolin monk'.... watch the fight between emin boztepe and william cheung . Those two are probably the most well respected wing chun masters still around and their fight ended with windmilling and shoddy grappling. Can you not see how ridiculous that is ?
thecraighi 5 months ago
@thecraighi That video is the end of the fight...read up on it son.
puffie300 5 months ago
@puffie300 and it was embarrassing. Boztepe is a big dude who looks like he can at least scrap. The other guy, william cheung who trained under the most well respected wing chun teacher ever (Yip man) cant fight. His kung fu was rendered completely useless once somebody grabbed onto him. The reason why grapplers, wrestlers, judoka, bjj and mma guys crack up all the time is because kung fu guys claim that their martial art is superior but refuse to prove it in competition which is the only real
thecraighi 5 months ago
@puffie300 way to test what works without getting in dozens of street fights. BJJ showed exactly how effective it is against other martial arts in no holds barred fights. Kung fu has never done the same so it cant legitimately claim to be better. it provides zero evidence
thecraighi 5 months ago
@thecraighi I never stated Kung Fu was better than BJJ. . .The only people stating things are you. Saying Kung Fu is completely useless. All arts are beaten one way or another. Each fight is won or lost on a personal level.
