  • I WISH I HAD HAIR LIKE ALAIN DELON

  • He is really interesting. This is the first I have heard of him, and I quite like his very down to Earth personality. He is very straightforward and doesn't seem to put on any airs. This was very interesting, especially for the times. :)

  • smoke ,smoke/ kill yourself slowly as mot stupids do.

  • @lsophial : Delon had stopped smoking a long long time ago.

  • Alain Delons sex on a stick!

  • lmao...... hippies...

  • Too handsome-he can hardly contain his own beauty!

  • Bringing up the scandal seemed seemed a bit tacky...

  • i'm amazed at how good his english is accent wise!

  • What a wonderful interview! American meets Franch, simply great! I loved how Delon didn't decline his difficulties in understanding all the words, it was simply hilarious! :)

Too bad you don't see him today in newer movies anymore...

  • his english sounds like british with slight french accent, great actor!

  • He still is a very handsome man. I used to have a picture of him when I was in high school. I loved his eyes.

  • Delon is the classic example of a face man with agreeable mannerisms and expressions. And no matter what he says no matter how obtuse, is taken as witty and urbane by the saps

  • *sigh* I watched the first part and this was such an awkward interview, I watched th eother three parts on mute, just looking at him. he's so gorgeous! i'm very lucky to be able to watch his italian and french films in their original versions, because listening to french coming out of that pouty mouth...!! he's a really good actor, very serious with his craft

  • clever hansome the best classic

  • What happened 2 ari? Did he eva acknowledge him

  • ドロンは英語しゃべれるのかぁ

    知らなかった

  • Cavett is sooo awkward! How did he not understand Delon was saying "wedding". Alain speaks wonderful english, and Cavett needs to shut it when his french skills are dirt.

  • @shea675 I think Cavett was just trying to change the subject and subtly bring the interview back to light-hearted conversation. He realized Delon was uncomfortable talking about that scandal, so he instead made a crack about his accent to get Delon and the audience more relaxed again. He's just playing around, that's Cavett's interviewing style. I'm sure Delon was relieved.

  • Cavett has this incredibly awkward quality when conducting interviews. For his interview with John Cleese it worked, but I don't think it works.

  • Thanks very much for posting this :) I'm having my Delon-phase going on, I can't stop watching all these vids of him.

  • Delon is great really, in every meaning:)

    \tnx for posting these interviews

  • DICK's humour and interview style is legendary, but he could have conducted a straight interview for the sake of linguistics.

  • he is gorgeous i mean Alain Delon, not Cavett "_

  • the murder case of his bodyguard Aleksander Markovic in 1969 was almost an stigma for Delon at that time and he always felt discomfort and avoid to talk too much about this case in interviews like this one. its said too much about this case that included french polititians, members of the Marseilla mafia , french jet set among others.....and Delon was finally free of charges and this case remain closed as i know.

  • Aleksandar Markovic was Yugoslawian a very good looking and dangerous man...What happend was that Delon had some woman he was dating and that woman liked his bodyguard Aleksandar M...So his bodyguard started fucking Delons woman, and of course if youre Alain Delon and someone steals ur woman what do u do? First youre shocked, then ur MAD...And then-DEAD-MARKOVIC-CUT IN PIECES FOUND IN TRASH CAN.

  • @alienwarelaptop100 : Pls back up your story. 'Cos Delon n wife Nathalie went thru thorough investigation n there was no proof he was involved in the murder.

  • Ah come on man...When youre rich and famous people dont wanna find any proof, im not blaming Alan Delon for anything even if he did order his bodyguard to get killed he did the right thing motherfucker shouldnt fuck other mans wifes.

  • Thank you very much for this interview, vanibat!

It's almost first one that I see with young Alain, though I'm his fan for years

. Very interesting and ..isn't he a little scary when talking about being friend of the authorities? =)

  • This has been awesome to watch! I originally saw this on "The Dick Cavett Show- Rock Icons" DVD. He was on the same episode with Stevie Wonder. By the way, where is the rest of the interview?

  • This is the end of the interview with Delon. He stayed for another 15 minutes while the next guest was being interviewed, but the focus was no longer on him.

  • I just stopped by.I thought that was Esquire Japon OR some another mag for the young HOMME had some articles on Alain Delon,as a legend of cinema.they also forcus what Alain wore in some movies which includes watch or some items like that.

  • What was the scandal they talk about?

  • I suppose, it was about murder of his former bodyguard, but I'm not sure.

  • Thank you!

  • He is so cool, I wish I could be like Alain Delon.

  • seriously, this guy is my hero.

  • Fantastic interview! lol

  • brad pitt compared to Alain Delon,is just another cute guy, with all respect to brad pitt ofcoz...=)

  • brad sucks.. im a girl, i actually never found him attractive...he's just another "prettyboy" whos in love with himself..

  • What's wrong with a good-looking person who loves himself? Isn't self-love important before one is being able to love others?

  • That is true, but self-absorption makes for an uninteresting personality...

  • true very true!!!!

  • great interview.

  • u can tell cavetts been up all night shitting his pants... he's kinda jealous off delon it seems, pondering on how hes gonna approach to the touchy subjects... but i liked the interview very much though..

  • He IS jealous from the very beginning, his jibes at Alain and all while the latter took them pretty lightly.

    What a loser.

  • Cavett is an all right bloke, these interviews are not supposed to be deep. I think Delon didn't feel uncomfortable.

  • Delon is a bit defensive, or is he just showing hisi French side? Intolerance for BS, and not afraid of authority.

  • dont like his face? this man was one of the best looking actors in the history of film period. please dont blame him for his looks. he seems like a wonderful interview and a great sense of humor. very witty and clever

  • delon is fantastic

  • Why, I actually really liked it.

Even though the interviewer seemed kind of taktless at times.

I believe that Alain Delon enjoyed himself quite a bit.

  • How could anybody be sexier, cooler and have stronger presence and magnetism? God has created him and broke the mould after that.

  • listen ladies and gens i love this actor toooooooooooooooooooo much

and the great loss is that i never seen in my whole life and my whole worls too an actor who so charming and elegant like thses guy ,even in this days too, brad pitt, tom cruise ,etc...)they are never like this guy i miss u so delon with my best love

    ahmed from egypr

  • edward furlong!?! he'd be a sex symbol if he really looked like Delon

  • the interviewer is such a loser

  • Edward Furlong Looks like Alain. I think.

  • similar eyes... yes!

  • That not funny story-weren't the Delon's involved?

  • Thank you for posting this. Very nice interview, it suprises me that he has such an excellent English. He should have done some more work abroad. But he's still great. One of the most charismatic french actors ever. And somehow still underated...

  • What problem with the authorities are Cavett and Delon talking about?

  • I found this in wikipedia regarding that crime: In 1968, one of Delon's bodyguards, Stevan Markovic, was found shot in the head in a dumpster outside Delon's home. Delon's friend, Corsican gangster François Marcantoni, was charged with accessory to murder. Delon himself was held by police for questioning, despite the fact that the murder took place in Paris, and Delon was filming in St. Tropez. Delon's then-wife, Nathalie, was also questioned.

  • Thanks!

  • Thanks to show.

All I can suggest to Alain is that he makes a film about his life, it's intresting enough for that, with all the facts.

Alain is a very clever man.

  • elsa lancaster, she was bride of frankenstien, and married to charles laughton.

  • tiresome Cavett. has to compete with his guest. yawn. It's his show and he needs to take the attention. he's not cute. dull dull dull. blond idiot.

  • I wish someone would put on an interview with his stunning ex-wife Nathalie

  • I love Delon, he was, and still is a wonderful actor and a great character!!!

  • Delon's off the hook...All of his films are #1ACES!!He's definetly not a woos.A very tough no nonsense cat!

  • who's the woman?

  • I wonder how someone with a face like that, managed to survive five years in the army! This guy is certainly no pussy.

  • I don't understand. Are you insinuating that he may have been the object of some homosexual attention?

  • That's why ppl not understanding him and his life story, and didn't see his movie, and didn't read what the great men of his era told about him etc... spread the bullsh*t that he has a big ego... Nothing like that. Life has just made him a tough, big mouthed guy, a hard character. That's it.

  • There are no man like him nowdays

  • those were the times...

    cinema was a constant multicultural

    exchange. Delon, you were lucky

a cigarette ? oh mon Dieu...

  • do you realise how much he looked like Edward Furlong!!!

  • Sorry, but I don't think so.

  • yes he did! not edward now but the younger version of Ed!

  • I see it, yes, Edward Furlong.

  • This was such a fun interview. Delon was right on top of the humor as well for speaking a 2nd language...

    Thnx for posting.

  • Edward Furlong's dad?

  • No - sorry I responded to you in error. I was just trying to post a general comment on Delon understanding the humor of Cavett. But-I think Delon is sometimes reminiscent of Gael Garcia Bernal and even sometimes Ray Liotta (Now before anyone gets upset.- I don't think he looks like either, but sometimes he reminds me of them with certain looks or haircuts-depending.) Delon is striking on camera and I love the way his eyes sparkle onscreen, and in the Leopard when he looked at Claudia Cardinale.

  • Ah yes I agree....how his eyes sparkle!

  • Are you by chance able to post the continuation of this interview - or perhaps you have done so but I'd somehow missed it - Is there a pt.5?

  • I'm afraid that's the end of the interview. Delon stayed around for another 15 minutes or so as the next guest was being interviewed, but the camera was not on him. I'm sorry it sort of cut rather badly at the end. It should've run for a few more seconds, but I accidentally cut it too early. I'll post more Delon interviews if I can find more in the future.

  • I appreciate what you did manage to post. Thanks so much and look forward to seeing other interviews once you post.

  • Yes - it's very appealing.

  • thanks for posting this!
