I lived in Northampton but moved away when i was still a nipper, went back for the first time last year (22 Years Later!) and no offence but I'm glad I moved! What happened??
This film says something to me that goes beyond dear old Northampton (my native town). Its a snapshot of what urban Britain has become - anodine, sanitised - lifeless. Uglified by hideous and unnecessary street furniture. And it creeps up- unnoticed.
@GriffinPilgrim two other things as you seem to like this format:
1) Hurry up & leave then.
2) Im not a racist. I think immigration is a great thing if it is managed and the people that come here can speak english & can offer a contribution that we need (which a lot of them do). This is clearly not the case and i can assure you many northamptonians dont feel the same way you do about them.

2. You have negative preconception against people because they are a different race than you. That's what racist means. And other Northamptonians (and lets pause to recognise what stupid sounding word that is) can feel free to bite me: If people want to come to our country we should take the implied compliment and move on.

As for culteral unrest, if everyone, Brits and immigrants both, were less touchy about culture, we'd have no problem. Cultures merge and change all the time, it's a good thing. Keeps things fresh.

It's a good concept. Some bits, like Staples only needed a quick shot really. It could have been better but i think it's a great idea. I'd love for you to be even more imaginative and improve on it even more. See what else you can add to it.! Good work though :)

Northampton is CERTAINLY not that dead. I like here and seen it with my eyes, and you seem to have cropped out a lot of roads and paths, which have loads of pedestrians and cars.

Okay, I'll admit Northampton is not particularly special, but the maker of this film has probably just gone with his home town I'd assume, so don't piss on his bonfire for the sake of it. Most of the shots there were not just of the sky and (from living in northamptonshire) I can tell you the cameraman has done really well to find normally busy places so empty.
Think you can do better? Go ahead, nobody asked you if you liked it.
There could have been a Cobblers game on at Sicky and there still wouldn't have been anything to see!
