The best TV series ever made! Better than War and Remembrance! Maybe not very historically accurate, the best picture of Rome I have ever seen. Only thing I can't stand about the series is their pronunciation of the word "Salve" (hello). Ecclesiastical (Roman Catholic) Latin pronounces "v" as a v sound, but Classical Latin was pronounced with a "w" sound.
I hope they make a series like this again, maybe about Scipio Africanus, or even Sulla for a prequel.

Spartacus is ok! but nowhere near the same caliber as Rome. Honestly Spartacus is a messy mixture of crappy special effects stolen from 300, cheesy rock music and try hard dialogue. Seriously, it sounds as if they paid a high school student to grab a dictionary and write the dialogue. The best TV series ever made! Better than War and Remembrance! Maybe not very historically accurate, the best picture of Rome I have ever seen. Only thing I can't stand about the series is their pronunciation of the word "Salve" (hello). Ecclesiastical (Roman Catholic) Latin pronounces "v" as a v sound, but Classical Latin was pronounced with a "w" sound.
I hope they make a series like this again, maybe about Scipio Africanus, or even Sulla for a prequel.
