The history about what happened in '48 is controversial, but I don't think going over and over history is helpful. My main interest is how to achieve peace in the future. At present the many Palestinians hate the Israelis, and this is a barrier to peace. Israel has control and should try not to provoke hatred from the Palestinians.

Palestinian citizens, who are mostly just ordinary people, are subject to on going harassment by Israeli settlers and military forces. Gaza and the West Bank are militarily controlled by Israeli forces. These areas are split up into small areas. And it's difficult for people to move from one area to another. Sometimes people die because of check points for ambulances and Israeli authorities knock down Palestinian family houses with no reason. And the Palestinians have no real representation.

@mrfreecrack Actually most Palestinians favour a 2 state solution under the UN. Unfortunately this security council resolution is vetoed by the US every time. The history about what happened in '48 is controversial, but I don't think going over and over history is helpful. My main interest is how to achieve peace in the future. At present the many Palestinians hate the Israelis, and this is a barrier to peace. Israel has control and should try not to provoke hatred from the Palestinians.
