For anyone who believes marijuana is not an actual herb, go open your spice cabinet and find the spice called "oregano". Now go look up any picture of the marijuana bud. To the untrained eye one couldn't tell the difference.

Cannabis is in the Bible in Exodus 30:22-23, the hebrew word, kaneh bosem is used, but mistranslated cinanamin and this hebrew word is mentioned 5 times in the Bible. The plant has healing properties, when used as an anointing oil. Whether God intended mankind to smoke it, is never mentioned in the scriptures -- but certainly the hemp can be food, and be used as annointing oil.

I've been smoking for atleast 4 years. It made me a content person not a material person. Cannabis change my view of life. It convinced me that God loves us. It open my mind. It help me to quit tobacco and alcohol. It help me practice a healthy living. And this companies, corporations and politicians brainwash people to worship MONEY and MATERIAL THINGS(BABYLON WORLD). I'm not that religious but I pray and my faith is strong.

Okay, the word "herb" or "grass" that these verses makes reference to is talking about the plaints which are food for man and cattle and other beasts. Now, just because God made something, doesn't mean that He wants you to use it in a way that would harm yourself or others. God made many poisones mushrooms. Do you thing God wants you to eat them? But you and I, and everyone else, would get very sick and possibly die if we ate _poisonous_mushrooms on our pizza. We do not consume _poisonous_mushrooms. Marijuana can be eaten on pizza. Why? Because marijuana is not a poisonous plant. Marijuana is just as safe as the mushrooms we eat on pizza.

Marijuana is very harmful, and I don't mean harmful like "the munchies" or any of that I mean harmful like with psycholigical problems, it affects the reproductive system, affects your heart rate, it damages your lungs, and believe it or not, it can cause cancer. In fact, there's more cancer causing agents in it then in tabacco.

If we can vaporize or eat it thus avoiding smoking (which you say may cause cancer, I disagree) to get the benefits from it, why do you still oppose its use? It does not lead to psychotic breakdown. What guy on tv? Umm... not sure who you're refering to. Do you not realize the your body actually doesn't want the drug inside you? When the smoke enters your lungs, it irritates them and damages the way they work. Marijuana smoke contains some of the same ingredients in tobacco smoke that can cause emphysema and cancer. Also, marijuana users smoke tobacco as well, which increase the health risk using the two substances.

Jim, I think your right here. If there was a herb we not meant to partake in, I do not think GOD would of said EVERY herb im the 1st page of the old testament as the bible is either all truth or not at all and im a firm believer that its all truth, praise jesus christ. God clearly allows us access to the pleasures of the earth. You brought up some good verses and points. I think it depends on how one use it. Lusting over and misuse is sinful, just like with anything else, but if used with respect then it is literally a "miracle plant". Drinking wine was a common occurrence back in those days for many reasons.... some people refer to verses with the word "drunkard" in it, but responsibly using alcohol without lust does not make one a drunkard. Same with pot.

Continued... as I can see smoking is bad under God's law nothing about ingesting it like all other herbs is wrong. The oil used to anoint back in the bible days did contain hemp in it. This is something I try explaining to people that bible thump and are against the use or herb. First things I tell them that silence them is basically this... If god made all things perfect and said onto himself it is good, then saying anything otherwise is just like saying God is imperfect and flawed. Very clear brother. Thank you. The biggest trip up our brothers have about drugs is "Sorcery". The error is that "Sorcery" equals non-medicinal drug use. Sorcerers used drugs and sometimes did not use drugs primarily to contact evil spirits, worship the devil, and mainipulate unwilling people against their will, witchcraft, spells, etc. That is FAR from someone using medicine to be healed in their body or mind, or even to relax with a drink of wine or a puff of weed. There is no proof that any god exists, let alone the god of the bible. I do think that cannabis use should be completely decriminalised.
