What a shame. I remember watching the rallying greats ripping up this great hillclimb in the 70's as part of the scotish rally. The commentator of the '76 Scotish rally said "Rest and be thankful hillclimb. One of the trickiest and twistest tarmac miles in british rallying." Such a shame to see it go to waste

I remember this road from when I was a kid, when it was the ONLY road up the Thankful.
You brought back good memories - imagine what it was like with trucks coming the other way!
