Love my hot rollers because my curls are loose & bouncy - but my hair grew out & it's not holding as well. Any tips? Can I get the same look with a wet set?
@AVERYDANTAY Wow...I have a lot of hair color videos. One is called "Let Me Dye in Peace"...one is called 'Seeing Red'...and then I ave some Manic Panic tips videos. :)
So nice! I love it. Would you consider doing a 1960s style, now that your hair is shorter? I loved Marilyn Monroe's hair in her last film "Something's Got to Give" (watch?v=X46URbjqSaw) and I think it would look very pretty on you. :)
I don't have hot rollers, but a lot of the styles I like on your channel use them. could I do these with sponge rollers? My hairs naturally curly, so it holds curls pretty quickly with sponge rollers. I love your channel, I've spent so much time this week watching you! x
I wish I was in a time when women still dressed themselves up as you do in your videos.... and also when it was an "everyday" kind of thing. To be fair, as a guy myself, I don't mind alternating between dressing in a trenchcoat or a tux and fedora and then something casual from the late 1950's... man... as a culture, we've sure lost a lot of classiness and glamour over the years. I could easily blame 1960's counter culture in general... but even the 1960's/1970's girls looked hot!
I read in the description that there would be a Hank Sr. cover, and I thought "Oh god, I hope this isn't some idiot trying to ruin good country music by making into some crappy pop song or something," but I was actually pleasantly surprised! It's pure, simple, and soulful.
and I've been thinking about cutting a lot of my hair off so I can get rid of the damage and grow out my natural color, so thanks for the great reference. :)
I look forward to trying these hairstyles again, I had to stop styling my hair for about 1-2 months to let it heal (turns out I have an allergy to one of my conditioners and it was making my hair fall out). It's nearly fully healed, I'm excited!
As always, very very pretty. I love how effortless you make this look. I feel like I always struggle and have two left hands. Maybe it just takes more practice?
I love that hairstyle, simple and beautiful. Ashley, if I may make a suggestion, could you show us the back of your hair as well? In many of your videos I am hoping to see the back (it helps me to see it in relation to the front) but you don't turn around. I realize in this particular hairstyle, the back could be flipped or turned under, but I'm more interested in how *you* treat the back.
@HisWordOnly...It was the camera placement that did not work with a rear view for this style. But I believe in most of my videos I do show the back of the style and also provide a photo..?
Hi, Loving your tutorials. Having my hair cut tomorrow and going to ask my hairdresser for The Middy cut. is this how your hair is cut for this style and how long on the top layers?
I love this! People think that to have that put together look that it must be so much work and so time consuming, but it really isn't. Let's all embrace the glamour ladies!!!
Love that even though it's simple, its so classy & nice!! Wondering f you use a special shampoo 2 maintain your red hair, I got 2 dye my red hair like every 3 weeks!!!
sometimes my curls in the front split and no matter how hard i try (even wetting and pinning it) it continues to separate in that same spot ever run into problems like this? it happens a lot when i use sponge rollers the hair rolled in the same curler splits in half for some odd reason :(
@adg135 Sounds like a Cow Lick. Mine does that too but it just happens to be on the side I part it. You have to force it into submission. If you continually train it while wet to do what you want, it somehow learns...that's all I know about that. :)
@LisaFreemontStreet here's the odd thing..i've been doing these hairstyles since i think about your first or 3rd video and it does it at random...i suppose my hair like me just pms's sometimes lol ;p
Did anybody else notice how STUNNING Ashley's profile is when she was putting in her flower? Absolutely gorgeous! I'm starting to think I need to cut my hair off so I can do this..
this is such a great style! Wishing I'd straightened my hair last night after I washed it so I could try this today. Might be time to break out the straightener and hot rollers, because this is seriously one of my favorite looks ever. Also, thank you for the music - I'm off to check out his channel right now! :)
@StylemyClosetTV I don't typically find that happens...are you rolling that section back and using products? If you roll in the direction you'd like the curl to go and spray it in place, it usually won't fall. Maybe your hair is very heavy and you need stronger hold products. Try aiming that section back while it's wet, using gel, and then blow it dry and apply your rollers.
I must get myself some curling rolls. My hair is about the same length though very thick and curly in itself. But those controlled cures lookes sooo well groomed

How long do you keep the warm rollers in to complete the style? If you don't use the warm rollers would you still need the Tres Semme Heat Spray?
magtru 2 months ago
@magtru It varies. Until they are completely cool. No, you don't need heat protectant on cold sets.
