I put that rag into a jar and sealed it! I called my sister and told her she had to take a whiff next time I saw her! I kept that rag for a long time hoping it would keep producing that magic. The rag is gone now, but the memories remain.

Let's try this again...pt 1 of 3......So I washed my car a couple years ago (and not many times since)...and I pulled a rag out of the trunk to dry it. The white rag quickly turned a grayish-black and I tossed it on the front passenger seat when I left the car wash. Anyway, I'm going somewhere with this...seriously. So, while I'm driving, I notice an odor...a stench...perhaps more of a fragrance because it was alluring and nostalgic, what was it?

Pt 2 of 3......I started sniffing and put the rag to my nose...it was great...what did this remind me of? I felt young again. This tar and oil covered mess was bringing back memories. F STREET...sweet...this sweet fragrance was the inside of 930 F ST NW...the alcohol, smoke, sweat, piss, spit, Doc Marten oil, duct tape adhesive, latex, turpentine, bleach, fog machine smoke and a whole lot more, all mixed into my white rag. That's what it was, it smelled like the real 930 Club back in 1989.
