after watching this video, i think, there is not such thing called plagiarism, patent, or WHATEVER the world called it.. you can see that technology grows because the developers steal idea from one another ! but still, Microsoft should have known that Sparkins was made first . but i am talking about the idea, not their quality. next product with same idea is usually has a better feature off course :p
@ Telkom - point taken but there are subtle differences that make Stanford's version more suitable for student notetaking
eg immediate calibration (no need to select menu) full 8 button layout, their calibration handles button location + sizing. No dependency on 'first touch', etc
the design is clearly better, though target users are same
it is subtle design differences that make or break an idea. what ultimately matters is that now people are taking an interest accessible input on tablet PCs
WOW! My child is blind and I wondered if tablets would ever be a possibility for her. THANK YOU for your dedication and work on this project! And, if you ever want to try it out with a blind kid, I'm sure she would LOVE to try it out.
It's funny, I wrote a chord keyboard app for Android tablets that is very similar to this, although not specifically for the visually impaired. Search for "ChordKey" in the Android market.
@cerberus6969u Indeed a fitting question. You must buy iPhone or iPod touch, or iPad. Then you will be able to play and control flash videos from youtube.

Very, very smart idea. Now add it to a tablet with haptic feedback, and those old clunky Braille machines will be history.

@cerberus6969u There is an accompanying article that tells the same story at:

@cerberus6969u if that were true:
you may ask a roommate, to possibly look it up;
or maybe someone who knows you might watch this video.
Once it becomes known you might just hear it from word of mouth
