  • Thank goodness Obamma is going to meet with Irans anti american leader. He needs more funding so that He can run this country. In hopes to lower gas prices to, maybe Irans leader will be able to because he is also wanting BARRACK HUSSEIN OBAMA to win. VOTE FOR OBAMA '08!

  • Obama was here? In Fort Wayne? THATS WHERE I LIVE!! WOW! WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW WOW!!!!!!!!

  • Anyone who listens to this man will always vote for him.His speeches are always true and unique.Politicians don't like this kind of politicians like Obama. They will always use other means to sabotage or blackmail him as Billary camps has been doing on and on.He remains the only person i will ask we Americans to enthrust that of president to him in this once-in-a-life-time opportunity of this man who have united people of all walks of life to be part of elections.

  • Voting for McCain is a slap in the face to Dr. King. MLK's fight's not over. Nobody should let themselves think that voting Obama will fix it all. MLK was against militarism, and the US foreign policy hasn't changed since Viet Nam. Still invading foreign countries regularly. It will take more than one leader and one election. Democrats and republicans have both been the problem. Obama's inspiring, but no telling if he can do half of what he says. But I'm sure McCain can bomb Iran, easy...

  • this is the first time i have actually listened to him speak... he sounds like bill cosby! lol.

  • I am getting more and more frustrated with "one issue" voters. Why do you not decide upon a candidate based on their views of the second amendment or abortion but agree with them wholeheartedly on everything else? It is not logical. I was there at Wayne High School and heard Obama's response to a question regarding gun violence. Fort Wayne suffered one of our most violent weeks in history with 9 murders in 7 days. Simply put he, wants tighter regulations on who can have a gun.

  • vote for Obama! i am.

  • I've heard more sense in this 11 minute clip than in the whole of Bush's presidency. Obama is spot on, and it's so refreshing. Just watched McCain trying to explain why he voted against the MLK holiday originally and frankly he was squirming all over the place, a sore subject for him I think. I'd be a bit worried about electing someone who has such little understanding of his own countries recent history; quite a significant period I'd say. Seems to me there is only one choice.

  • Yea...but wouldn't it be nice if YOUR Reverand thought the same way?

    MLK Jr.=Peace & Harmony

    Wright=Racial Hatred and Anti-America

  • You go bother!!!!

Obama will be a great president for the USA and I will vote for him .

  • obama seems to good to be true, i absolutely will not deal with hillary and mccain won't know wat to do with these damn illegal aliens

  • Obama seems like a nice man and I respect anyone who wants to run for president and guide our country. However, he says what he wants to do, he says what he's going to do, but he doesn't say HOW he's going to do it!! I saw a recent TV promo where he stated he will end a war, make a billion jobs for Americans... ok, but HOW are you doing that??

    I'm sorry but I'm for McCain 08'!!

  • TKfan06 why?!?!?!?!?

  • I don't know what TV promo on FOX you have poisoned your eyes with, but Obama has clearly stated just HOW with our help, he will end this war and create millions of jobs. A billion jobs? Wow... I don't know about you, but I have never heard him state he will create a billion jobs for Americans. I would love to see the quote.

About the war, he will enforce an immediate withdrawal of 1-2 brigades a month. For jobs, he will invest in alternative fuels and rebuild our infrastructure. That's HOW.

  • very interesting...you're for McCain who knows exactly HOW to end the war and make a "billion" more jobs, just has no intention of doing either.

  • TKfan06 people will give you negative marks if you say anything bad about Obama. Your wakeing them up to the dream they are haveing about him makeing the world a utopia. They will give you bad marks but not explain how Obama will bring about this changes he is platforming on.

  • if you'd listen to his speeches you'd find out...he explains in many of his speeches

  • And TKfan06 how do you propose McCain is going to fix things, by continuing to spend $400 million dollars a day in Iraq. If you had any clue and actually listened to Obama he actually tells you how its going to be achieved. I guess your just another one of those redneck americans who likes the country to go down hill with the Bush / Clinton policies that have nearly bankrupt the country.

  • Yeah TKfan06, like McCain has said exactly HOW he is going to manifest any of his promises?

  • You're sorry cause you vote for mccain?? we should be sorry for you!!! LOL!

  • I support you.. besides. i do not think he holds the ideals the forefathers stood for...Lincoln, Jefferson, for instance. Not looking at Bill's Clinton time at the White House where Nobody was in Iraq and USA was prosperous. instead. he looks at Martin Luther King and other black brothers..well this is about USA as whole black&white too he even forgets that it seems LOL

  • McCain hasn't said how he is going to accomplish anything.

  • (TKFan06)

I heard McCain say that he is willing to stay in Iraq and Afghanistan for 100 years, but he didn't say how he would bring the peace, or when will we be able to pull out. The war is continuing with no end, just like the war on drugs. It has no end, how do you quantify that. Your Senator McCain has not said how we would end the war, or how we will fix the economy. So it sounds like you are voting for TheSame in 08!! But I think more people will be voting for Change in 08!!

  • HE HAS NO EXPERIENCE!!! all he is is a junior senator!!!! nobody in congress will take him serious, ive seen almost every other politician have the same "ideas" as he does

  • JFK= No experience

    Abraham Lincoln= no experience

Both of them presidents, both of them great.

What makes Obama more likable than the other politicians, because he actually has plans to make them happen.

  • thats the point, we don't need more experience, we've had that its gotten use no where. this country needs an idealist.

  • Experience got us where we are today, give me a leader and we'll work the rest out.

  • I seen his policies when I was 16 and 2 years into politics.. his dogma is Change I did this in real when I was 10 :) . As i said before.. his so called idols are NOT Thomas Jefferson Woodrow Wilson and Kennedy or Clinton Bill who are good leaders but Martin luther King who was only religious and liberal icon and no politician..Cheers Snitdogg

  • i know he doesen't have as much as others. But he has real life expirience. Working as a community organizer for 20 years, an attorney for civil rights, a major in political science, and a law degree from harvard.

Plus he has the grace of God w/him at all times. He is the only canidate i want in the white house.

    Obama 08

  • Obama represents a movement. The congress will have to take the symbol of the people, Obama, seriously if the people continue to stand behind and next to him. Obama is a good symbol for this because of his charisma, but your right he can't do anything without our continued support. Obama has encouraged people such as my self to get back into electoral politics. Before him I thought the only productive political activity was to throw bricks at city hall now I see that we can change city hall!

  • He has 8 yrs of experience at the legislative level....where all the real work is done! You have to look at his life when the camera wasn't on him....he has devoted his life to creating changes for ppl who didn't know how to do themselves....everyone has said he couldn't get this far but he has....just a thought...he couldn't possibly do worse than this administration....McCain thinks it would be fine to be in Iraq for 100 more years and Hillary's plans look just like Bush's...He can only go up!

  • Im not saying that im not against him, he needs more time with accomplishing things, im not voting for any 1, mccain is 2 old, hillary is just a bush repeat, and obama is underexperienced. i think we just need new candidates

  • Not voting is irresponsible. Sometimes you have to choose between plauge and cholera, but the least you can do is make a stand! There have been many presidents who haven't been into politics for very long but who has been really succesful leaders. McCain has spent his time in politics to hide behind Bush's policies and never has he done anything genuine for the people, nor will he ever. Obama is a generous, ambitious, smart and optimistic candidate who will do everything he can for the people.

  • Indiana = Beast and what a great speech

  • NOW WE KNOW

  • MLK and Obama are two great humans who happened to be Americans.

  • although obama is looking to be the best democrat right now, i don't think i will be able to vote for him. his views on the 2nd ammendment are coming out. disarming the american citizens to satisfy the united nations. i will never give up my 2nd ammendment rights for any politician. 3rd party here i come.

  • I believe in maintaining my 2nd ammendment rights also but Obama is too great a presidential candidate to not vote for him due to his view on this issue. Besides, I believe the final say on that issue will be a compromise. Obama will be a great and humane president.

  • Obama has shown what JFK MLK has done in the past. We can be united. MLK taught Malcom X to calm down and act with peace and win the war between the races.

  • Obama...I have to say, he's a great man. I have to disagree with people when they say he has no issues. If you really listen to him, he DOES. He stands for america. He doesn't need america to stand for him.

  • Memphis is not Dr. King Mecca, Obama could be in Detroit giving this speech. With the internet, and mainsteam media, he could be anywhere, and we would all still hear and see Barack's great words honoring the penultimate American Hero who is Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. King would be so proud of you Barack, and millions of Americans are proud of you. Keep fighting and never give up!

  • Teach us, Senator soon-to-be-President Obama. Unlike the dummy who lives at 1600 today, you will lead us and make us a stronger and more intelligent nation.

  • OBAMA '08!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • test

  • To respectfully borrow a phrase from Dr. Martin Luther King:

    I, too, have a dream ...

That dream is to see Obama become the next President of the United States of America. With Americans united for change, we can make that dream a reality!

    Obama 08!

  • My comment has not yet appeared ... wonder why?

  • Anyone else actually getting sick and tired of hearing about Barack Obama. TV news, internet news, surfing you tube. I am getting sick and tired of seeing this guy. Anyone else feel the same way? Can you say over-exposure? People will get sick of this guy, especially if he even gets into office. He will be president not a rock star. My question is what and for who is he changing? My income from more tax? And we have to keep seeing this over-exposed and WAY over-hyped guy until November?

  • Thank you, Senator for speaking in my hometown on such an important day. You made a lot of people happy in Fort Wayne, Indiana with your visit. Please do come back and have a bigger rally at the Coliseum!!!!

  • Am I alone in thinking that he seemed a bit distracted in that speech? Maybe a bit tired? I mean, if you compare this speech to the ones after the votes in Iowa and New Hampshire you can't help but think he's toned down the souring sermonizing version of Obama and become calmer, more muted, almost humble. When you watch him you're not only watching history form before your eyes, but the evolution and completion of a deep and multi-faceted leader and national icon.

  • you do know that the hardest time of american president's life is during his election campaign right?

  • he cant be ON all the time. his rep as an inspiring speaker backfires sometimes when everyone who goes to see him expect to be moved to tears. i know thats not what u wrote but im just sayin.

  • he was emotional - and controlling it

can any of us imagine what goes through his mind invoking the last great black leader in this country and what befell him

i think you are confusing deep thought with distraction

he made me cry thinking of what could have been - yet what still can be

lets hope Pennsylvania saw this and then saw Sen Clintons rememberance

The diff in approach and leadership is clear

    Obama 08

  • I think what you're seeing is Obama being solemn. This is the anniversary of his death. Considering he's been speaking with King's family, and others about this, that can't be anything but a wrenching, draining experience.

  • I noticed this subtle transformation too. "Calmer, muted, humble". Yes I believe we are witnessing not only political history, but the spiritual transformation of a man.

We are witnessing his evolution from politician to a once in a century historic leader.

  • Well he probably is tired---all the campaigning, plus he still has a family and kids to take care of. He's been working non-stop. Wouldn't you be a bit tired?

  • he is talking about a pretty sad topic, his demeanor is on point if you ask me

  • I love listening to Obama's speeches. Sometimes they bring me to tears.

    Obama '08

  • It's all about doing the right things instead of doing things right!!!

Go Barack go... he is the right man!!!

  • That being said, Kennedy gave a speech to a black audience in Indianapolis 40 years ago to inform them that Martin had been killed. All across the nation there was violence throughout the inner city but not in Indianapolis. This, too, shows the continuation of King's dream.

  • Fort Wayne, represent 260!

  • Obama '08

  • I think the major problem with Obama isn't that he's preaching change or that he's inexperienced... I for one applaud this because we need both to get rid of the old blood on both sides.

The problem with Obama is he is a very far left wing kind of guy. He talks of change, but he's a socialist in some of those matters. I just can't vote for him because the family's small business will be ruined by his heavy taxes.

I also fear the housing market. More taxes=less income to pay off debt!!

  • Obama is doing exactly what Dr. King would have wanted him to do.

    He's overcoming divisiveness.

    He's overcoming dissension.

He's moving forward to pursue a dream.

Dr. King is and was a respected man because he stood for a purpose. And now Obama is standing for a purpose.

    Obama '08

  • And what is that purpose

  • hi hi hi

  • I Love this man ! Obama 2008

  • A remarkable speech. The fact that it wasn't delivered in Memphis does not matter one iota. In a non-election year, how many of these national politicians will be seen on-site for the anniversary of MLK's murder? Does the possibility exist that some of these individuals (such as McCain, who as Senator voted against the MLK holiday) are there to mend political fences more than contribute to the healing process championed by Dr. King? Quite possibly...

  • OMFG! This Man is more than inspiring. He's the only hope we as Americans have to redeem our standing as such. The world is watching US making it right this time.

  • I believe there was a scheduling conflict but also a serious security threat. Some crazed bible-belters were contemplating another tragedy.I too would have liked to see Senator Obama in Memphis, but not at the risk of his life.

    Stay Safe Barack !

You are the Hope of the Free world.

  • The man is in his political struggle of his life! I absolutly expect him to be in Indiana trying to swing a few votes, rather than going to Memphis! A great speech will be heard around the nation, no matter where it is given.

  • If Obama did go to TN representing King, he would be critisized harshly and would be accused as this day as a moment of politics and votes. Smart move not to be there.

  • he should have went to memphis. he seems to always downplay the history of black america to me, and this is another example. he could have taken a day off from his campaign for this occasion. he took a couple of days for a vacation so he could have given the honor of MLK memory more respect

  • obama is not selling his soul for politics. we never know the reason he did not go. i think he remembered wonderfull MLK and made him proud.

  • This guy is definitely right for our country! I really don't see why anyone would even struggle to support him. Anyone who knows and learns the facts surely will make the right choice and support Obama.

    OBAMA 2008!!

  • Obama 08 // Ron Paul for VP

  • It was not necessary to be in Memphis in order to honor MLK. Just like it is not necessary to be in a church to pray to God. Obama's MLK speech today was very moving and I am proud of Senator Obama :)

  • Simply amazing speech

  • I was at this event. Obama is by far the superior candidate of all four remaining candidates. As soon as we can all agree on this and move on, the better.

    Republican and voting Obama.

  • Obama 08

    Vote or Die

  • When will the naysayers in America wake up and recognize that in Obama we are presented with perhaps the greatest leader of our generation. The pessimism that grips out nation after 4 decades of little vision and leadership seems to blind people from recognizing the potential that is embodied in Obama. The extreme focus on the negative may prevent us from changing the direction of a Nation which has gone seriously astray. He is only human... cut him some slack and let him lead.

  • I look more and more forward to voting for you, with every video I watch. You are the only politician I have EVER wanted to listen to. You do my heart proud. Thank you!

  • That is a speech that is worthy of a President. Go OBAMA, yes you can.

  • I am Conservative and love this guy, he is my friend, god bless him.

  • I love Obama but I think he should have really went to memphis. I think just the image of obama..a result of the struggle..right infront of them.

I think he needs to stop making "schedule" excuses. This has been his second time..

Obama, don't sell your soul for politics..

    Obama '08

  • Obama~ pointed out that he had already spoken at King's church in Atlanta this year, had spoken with the King family and that he had already given a "pretty fulsome speech on race relations" just two weeks ago.

"I think it's important to spread the message that Dr. King's work is unfinished in places like Indiana and North Dakota," he said.

Indiana is where Robert Kennedy announce MLK assassination. In light of all this it makes perfect sense.

  • i actualy think that its the other candidates who played the politic card by going to memphis today when they dont the other years

  • I agree with you bow2jade, Although I don't believe he has made "schedule excuses". I don't believe he is trying his hardest to make it to the events that really mean something. I think he is trying hard to win this election which is what we all want him to do (thoes of us who support him that is).

  • I don't think his location has anything to do with the power of his speech today. He doesn't need a photo-op to show his appreciation and pay tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Like the other candidates, who only went to give their respective speeches for tv time and PR and then as soon as they were done they skipped town. People are making way too much of him not physically being in Memphis. .... far from selling your soul, I must say.

    OBama '08

  • 2nd? what was the 1st? and yeah, he could have gone. but he's fighting for his political life in Indiana, not in TN. once he's prez, he'll have plenty of time to for symbolic photo-ops.

  • He was where he needed to be. This is just as significant where he was. He is where Bobby Kennedy was after Dr. King was slain. Bobby Kennedy spoke peace and unity that day to a black community mourning and angry.

  • Indiana was a perfectly fine place to be. The anniversary of King's death was also the anniversary of Bobby Kennedy's remarkable speech in Indianapolis, perhaps the first act after King's death that carried forward King's legacy.

  • He was in the State where Robert Kennedy gave a fabulous speech, the night of King's assassination. Maybe he thought the hope that it inspired was more important than the place where something so terrible happened- to make a point. He lives MLK's dream every day. He doesn't need to travel to Memphis on a set day to prove it.

  • I don't think he's selling his soul. I think Dr. King would be proud he's spreading his message where it needs to be spread. I live here in Memphis and honestly we think people are making too much fuss about him not being here. It's about work and spreading those works around the country....not appearances.

    Just a thought

    Obama '08

  • I don't think it matters where he stands when he says it, so long as he keeps on sayin' it.

Just because he didn't give this speech at Dr. King's murder scene, doesn't mean he is selling his soul. Good heavens.

  • Senator Obama personally called and spoke with the King family. I don't know if the other candidates did the same, but the King family expressed their understanding of what he is trying to accomplish in Indiana and approved of his presence there. He did not make an excuse. His entire campaign is more a realization of Dr. King's dream, than any John McCain apology or Hillary Clinton quite possibly embellished recount.

  • I agree. Obama could've done the same thing other politicians did but he wanted to use the opportunity to show that Martin's Dream lives on inside of us. It wasn't lost on the balcony of a hotel in Memphis, TN some 40 years ago. It lives on in him and countless other people around the world--white, black, yellow, and brown.

  • I, too, say it doesn't matter where the man stands when he sets his words to wing. The King family seems to agree with this view, as many members were in Atlanta while the gatherings were under way in Memphis. For that matter, how many of those gathered in TN were there for over-the-board reasons ... and how many in the crowds and on the stages were there merely for political posturing. Think before you endorse a candidate merely for being at some supposed right place at an assumed right time.

  • Agreed. I think that, if anything, Dr. King's family would have wanted him to go to Indianapolis.

Also, do not forget that Bobby Kennedy spoke in Indianapolis and, as a result, kept the flames of anger from igniting. I think it appropriate that Obama spoke in Indianapolis.

  • Thank you. Dearie me!

  • I think it was a well-informed decision not to go there. Obama represent hope of everyone. Just pray God protect his soul.

  • I think that you are being to sensitive. I think that his speeech spoke very highly about Kings cause.

  • I don't think he's selling his soul for politics. Obama's heart is in the right place: with the people. We should all know by now that Obama doesn't ALWAYS do what might be considered to be, politically, expedient. His heart is with ordinary, everyday, working people who need their concerns and issues addressed.

  • Showing one's face, to commemorate the death of a great man, like Martin Luther King, Jr., and using the opportunity as a photo op and opportunity to push political agendas, doesn't mean you care. It simply means you're a politician. April 4 was about the day King died. Obama wanted to celebrate his life and the dreams and hopes he had for America.

  • Le'ts not get stuck on King's death but rather celebrate what he stood for --what he was willing to live and die for. That's what needs to be our focus--not whether or not a black candidate showed up to honor a man, he, obviously, reveres and has a great deal of respect.

  • Obama spoke to the King family that day, so they are aware of how committed he is to Dr. King's legacy. He spoke at King's church in January. He cites King in his speeches all the time. Yesterday, he did what King would have wanted him to do: he spread King's message to another corner of this great nation. In fact, he was in the same city where RFK announced that King was killed and gave a wonderful speech on non violence 40 years ago. He HAS NOT sold his soul to politics. Don't get it twisted!

  • We shouldn't get too distracted by these kinds of things. Martin Luther King's Dream lives on in us all. Just because someone running for office, makes an appearance, doesn't mean they truly care. It simply means they're politicians. We all know that Obama does not always do what is considered to be politically, expedient. He is guided by his convictions, love of America, and meeting the needs of the people, rather than politicking. You know that. That's one of the reasons we LOVE him so much.

  • Obama was correct not going to Memphis.

Barack Obama invoked the spirit of Dr King more speaking from Indiana than either of the other two candidates did speaking at the motel where MLK was shot. Obama needs to go back to a post racial campaign.

He invoked RFK who was in Indianapolis

April 4, 1968. As Ethel Kennedy famously said "Barack feels it the way Bobby did"

Barack was absolutely in the right place.

Leadership transcends time and place -

  • The dream lives on in him

  • Obama '08 !!

  • Senator.....PRESIDENT Obama, when you speak, you give my own deepest beliefs, hopes and aspirations wings to rise above the din of our daily trials and mundane responsibilities.

Thank you for continuing to use your voice and your efforts in service for our country at this difficult time.

  • Obama is the king of our genration we are lucky to have him.

  • I know in my heart that Dr. King spoke the truth -- a truth that I, myself, could not speak. I mean, I could speak the truth as I see it, but my truth would not have spurn anyone to change and to rethink this thing. I pray for myself that I can have a sensibility that Dr. King possessed because that sensibility does not come from man but from God...I am soooo glad Dr. King passed our way!

  • Obama represents the future for America; action driven by words. He is not trying to make a change today by himself. He is motivating poeple to come together to make the changes. You can not help someone who does not want to help himself. For those of you ready for change, register to vote and let your voice be heard. Go Obama!

  • He's saying: "America, I understand you."

  • Senator Obama should visit Northwest Indiana!

  • Exquisite!

  • It's your time Barack Obama!!!

    Obama '08

  • At least people today are still descent enough to remember great leaders of our country.

  • I really hope he wins.People need 2 listen 2 what he is saying.I would vote 4 him if I was old enough.Barack Obama 2008!

  • Dr. Martin Luther King is one of the most important people in U.S. American History. His "I Have A Dream" speech at the "March on Washington" is historically as important as Lincoln's "Gettysburg Address". Senator Obama didn't forget to add a "moment of silence" during the introduction of his speech. I think both Senators Clinton and McCain failed to do this. Again, Senator Obama has shown that he is the best person running for the Presidency and to lead our country up the path to improvement.

  • Speaking as a non-american, I feel Obama will do the USA a great deal of good. He will bring hope and balance back to America and more importantly, people FEEL he can be trusted. Hope you guys elect him.

  • amazing. I get chills every time I hear this man speak!

  • I am Dutch, half black, half white and have lived in Kenya and Indonesia. I consider myself a world citizen and Obama has given me hope in cynical times.

Instead of weaving his personal narrative into the MLK tribute - as the other two candidates did - he gave voice to a universal feeling, more articulately, more thoughtfully and with more soul than any politician I have heard in my lifetime.

What a speech. What a man.

  • In the words of Dr. King:

"The time is always right to do what is right."

  • I got to go to the town hall meeting today and Obama was absolutely wonderful. His speech was awesome. Obama you definitely got my vote. Yes we can make a change, you are the man.

  • "The time is always ripe to do what's right."

But you got the point. ^_^

  • i was thrilled you were in fort wayne my current home town! keep on being you mr obama, its working well--i will definately VOTE OBAMA!

  • God Bless U Obama!

  • Everytime I hear Obama speak tears comes to my eyes, he can believes in everything he says thats why he will be a great President.

The world at an International level is backing you.

    Obama 2008 GO Obama

  • inspiring, insightful, I can't wait til jan 09

  • Obama means in Swahilli language "CHANGE"

Ask people if you get me wrong

  • Obama is Wisdom

  • Thanks for the speech and Good Luck

  • This speech is well anotated, as all of Senator Obamas speeches have been, but does the message truly reach the ears of individuals such as the one who wrote the speech. We will never know the measure of integrity until we see how utterly integrity has been lost. Is he moved by Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. or is he just passing through the motions.

  • i live in Indiana and there is no way i will let Hillary win

  • i live in fort wayne!

  • Barack gives me cold chills when he speaks! He has such a powerful way with words. I can't wait for him to be President and fix this mess Bush has gotten us into!

  • Yes we can.

  • excellent!

  • The reminder that our nation needs to still heal from wounds of the past was the message that resignated with me today. I certainly think in my heart that BO is the only candidate that has the capacity to do this.

  • A touching speech. It is clear how much Barack has drawn from Dr. King, and frankly it has been too long since someone picked up that torch. The whole world appreciates what you are doing.

Yes we can, to opportunity and prosperity.

  • Obama speaks so presidential and shows respect to Dr. Martin Luther King's legacy.

    Let freedom ring !!

    Free at last !!

    Yes we can !!

  • OBAMA 08!!!!!!!!!

  • whoo represent f dub

  • I can't wait to make kings dream come true

  • Vote true, America

  • This is the second full speech of his I've heard and I believe this one was better than the 37-minute speech on race in America.

I think his race speech was great but was a bit overshadowed by the Rev. Wright aspect of it.

This speech really gets to heart of Dr. King's dream and explains where Mr. Obama's strength of Mr. Obama's message is as well.

Most impressive is that he does this by giving a simple history lesson.

  • 08ama

  • This may have been better than the Race and Rev. Wright speech.

I hope this gets as much viewing as his 37-minute speech.

  • The more I hear Obama speak, the more I know that he is the person that we need in the White House.

We need you in Washington. We need you for our leader!

    08aba!!!!!

  • I agree entirely!

    Obama '08

  • Really? Hearing him speak? Some of the people out there are friggin' frightening. How about stating what specific policy or policies you believe in of him? or are you like the media and just in love with the guy with no specific reason except that he talks smooth - oh and he's black. Let's face it. If he was some ordinary white guy from New Jersey taling like this - no one would give a shit. Sorry to be blunt, but the truth is the truth.

  • His speeches are all so damn brilliant, but when he speaks about race, it's always moving.

So refreshing to see a politician, especially a black politician, speaking so honestly and openly regarding race, and identifying the real problems.

  • ♥ OBAMA FOR '08!!!!! ♥

  • Great speech as usual, Obama.

    RIP MLK.

  • please don't give me thumbs down. But would someone please tell me what type of threats he recieved.

  • Every time I hear Obama speak, I feel history being written and watch as it unfolds.

At least Obama stayed on topic, giving honor and dignity to arguably the most important African-American in our history.

I watched Hillary in her "tribute" turn it into a stump speech demonstrating her complete lack of judgement and class - enough on that.

    God Bless America.

    God Bless Obama.

  • Are you referring to this? watch?v=UkTEjXyivHg

I fail to see or hear her stumping. But this video only covers the last 7:43 minutes, maybe she did the stumping before that.

  • No, over 70 truthful comments have been posted. Guess you were just writing BS.

  • Why, what did you say?

  • You go brother!

  • A drug warrior calling for justice. The guy is in the Senate and what legislation has he proposed besides mandatory vaccinations supposedly to prevent post partum of pregnant women with the Mother's Act S. 1375? Now back to Obamamania. Everything is fine if you only dream.
