A classic example of American ignorance, tastelessness, and stupidity. This is a famous TENOR aria and must be sung by an adult male operatic voice. Poor little girl, she is trying to cope with her pretty, tiny chirping, nonexistent breath control, and phonetic Italian. All these showbiz bozo apes think they are promoting talent, but this is fake, embarrassing elevator Muzak. Her shelf life is very short. I hope her greedy parents cash in before she gets too old and the voice disintegrates.

Anyone who thinks God doesn't perform miracles isn't listening. I pray He will watch over her and protect her as the human race propels her to stardom so that she does not fall to the temptations so many have fallen too. Sing to God and Jesus, Jackie. May you be our voice to honor Him.

just pray the "child" is not worn into the ground.while she is a true gift and a blessing i hope that its done with her in mind.to many in music that just see a cash cow and will exploit and abuse...remember this is a child with an unreal talent but a child non the less.i wish her all the best life has to offer..and pray she is taken really good care of..

@ridgebackdk she has a tough road ahead. Her father sold his business and now Jackie is the sole source of income for the entire family. Talk about pressure for the next ten years! She has to feed and clothe the family, educate three siblings, house payments, etc. She seems a caring person so she will push herself not to let them down. Not good!
@vonbear1 Her dad or mom is with Jackie at all times, I don't know if her mom worked or not, I can see him selling his business to help look after Jackie on the road and studio. I am sure he is being paid about the same as his business. I don't think there is any money going to Jackie or her parents till Jackie is 18 or 21, it goes into a trust account. The law change years ago, I am sure I heard Brenda Lee say on tv years ago that she has to keep living in the slum area till she turned 18.
@cutiekiska She could put her lips right on it if she chose to do so but she has been advised that it might create distortion. If you watch her sing with a hand-held mike she does put it closer to her mouth but not so close as to ruin the sound.
her high notes are too shivering))she has a talent but has to do a lot to really sing academically)though i like that she has made a good job with her pronunciation in italian)and furthermore this is the male song, she hasnt collected enough emotions to sing this majestic aria!)
I think it is Simon Cowell (SyCo Record Exec) idea to perform "Nessum Dorma not Jackie Evancho.
Jackie vocal coach is Yvie Burnett, trained as an operatic mezzosoprano, and sung professionally with the Welsh National Opera.
She remains in her head voice the majority of the time which is the safest voice for her, so as not to put too much pressure on her lungs and not to push too much air through her chords. Jackie Father is has Urkranian Blood, lots of Russian kids like Jackie.

@ucolka Many people think she sings incredibly well with what little coaching she has received up to now. Yes it is a male aria but other females have sung it(Durbin, Brightman). And if you can't hear the emotion in Jackie's performance you truly are not listening.
She is perfect. What else can you say? More albums, Jackie....More PBS Specials....more TV appearances...more, more, more! We are all waiting for more of your beautiful voice! You are Beautiful, Jackie.
