@coolman9992 Depends on what kind of a Christian you are. They come in many different "flavours". Some benign, some bat-shit insane. Born again Christianity is of the latter type.
what are you, stupid or something? everyone knows it's the hindi that believe in reincarnation, and i think buddhists do to. christians don't believe in rebirth!
Having encountered the sheer insanity of Grace-Based Christianity in person, I totally agree. People like that should be sterilized so their complete and absolutely insane retardicity can never ever infect anyone ever
Bad anaolgy. If anyone has ever lied, stolen, etc., they have sinned-including me. The Bible just says that we deserve death as punishment for sin. Does that make God bad? No. It makes him just. If anyone goes to court and has broken the law, any just judge would pass a sentence. The difference is that God gave His son as our replacement. All you have to do is have faith in Christ and follow him. It's not about sending people to hell-It's about Him saving us from Hell because He loves us.
So is it bad when a judge sentences someone for their wrongdoings or does that make the judge evil?
Of course I have backtalked my parents when I was a kid. But good thing my punishment was taken care of at the cross. I don't want to argue, just give my perspective and share my thoughts. Allergic to stones? I am missing the reference on that...please explain. Thanks.
Although Born-Again Chrisitianity has negative connotations to it, to argue that Jesus is the same is ad hominen. Also, how does any of these comments prove He didnt raise from the Dead?
Religion is the antithesis of thinking and reason, and has NO business delving into the body politic for that very reason. No mountain of evidence will ever sway their stance on anything. They are society's greatest source of rancor and polarization and ought to be ignored outright. I wish religious figures who make public comments and calls to action on governmental issues would BY LAW lose their Tax Exempt status here in the U.S.!
As a Christian I wish more churches would be focused on the call of the church and feed the hungry, house the widows and do things like Jesus actually did. I do, however, believe that a Christian has just as much right to speak against things they disagree with. But if the Church actually helped society, I think more people would at least be open to their ideas. Also - many of the "Christians" in the public eye are charlatains.
To be perfectly honest, I couldn't agree more with you've said. As a child I had thoughts of becoming a pastor, I also have a minor in philosophy, and still look at all religious doctrine for "gems" of good policy and social guidence. My beef had been primarily with evangelicals, but sadly many other sects have followed their "lead" to force policy via politics. I feel sad for Republicans, the party was gutted by the neo-cons, their bad policies and absurd focus non-critical issues.
I always equated christianity with someone stealing your car and trying to sell it back to you. or a salesman selling a cure for a disease he just gave you when he spat in your face. Nice work.
liar i am christan this is all lies

@rozeboosje I know you had to go away.

You're the one I need.
I believe that I would cry just a little.
Just to have you back now.

It's a world of laughter,
A world of tears.
It's a world of hopes,
And a world of fears.
There's so much that we share,
That it's time we're aware,
It's a small world after all!

No, that makes god evil. Remember, it isn't JUST that. Ever mouthed off your parents? Well, I hope you're not allergic to rocks.

You haven't read your bible much, have you? Jesus said that the old laws still apply, and will until the end of the world. Matthew 5:17-19.
The punishment for mouthing off one's parents was death by stoning.
rowsdowersavesus 4 years ago
Sorry, The question should have been: If a judge sentences someone for doing wrong does that make him a just judge or wrong?
wrightperspective 4 years ago
If the punishment fits the crime, just. If it's excessive, or cruel, as killing a child ALWAYS is, then evil.
