I have to watch one of his DVD's for my job. I was hoping to dig up some dirt on him on the internet. Find out he was a coke head or something. Damn. I just can't prove it. But the guy's definitely on coke.
The Friedman group retail sales training program is more than just a "video packages" that you may find out there. This program is widely used by many of the top fortune 500 companies in America and that is what motivated us to use their training program. If it is good for the Fortune 500 it should be good for us. We are completely satisfied with the results; we improved our customers service, our salespeople are better prepared and sales are way up. We highly recommend this program.
This program has been implemented in my company and to be honest it has failed horribly. The customers have seen right through it and employees have been met with more "I'm just looking's" than ever. Also, this Friedman guy is quite out of touch. I give it not positive comment.
i agree, but it depends on your environment and what you'er selling... i think you can pickup some of the useful techniques to incorporate into your selling style, but you do not need to use em all as he teaches in one of his sections. "No professional golfer takes less than 14 clubs when golfing as the GPA allows up to 14) whether you use it is a different story
I took this program with a group and belive me this guy could sell sand right in the middle of a desert, hes amazing.
The bad side is that doing this kinda seems hypocrite, manipulative, quite disrespecting to the customer's mind and intelligence and worse of all, no consideration at all for people budget, he actually haves a strategy to make people spend even more money than what they have, and he thinks is fair...
Unfortunately You have to be those things if you want to succeed in sales.
gatogordo1231: You do not have to "be those things" to have success in sales and it is not at all what I learned from that program... Did we watch the same program?!?
so how successful are u now in selling? are u still in the industry?
I think he teaches techniques for people who want a fast quick sell, like the sleazy car sales man, or the futureshop get in n out quickly style. Nonetheless, u don't have to use it all the time either. If u ask me to describe him, he is the perfect sales man, has a response to everythinn n TALKS TALKS TALKS. I'll bet u he even did those demostration booths :D.
I really admire this kind of stuffs..

our managers are going to the program...how scared should the sales staff be? did many of your employees fail or did everyone rise to the challenge?
