Thanks for this video. The most helpful part is that is appears to be the same housing as an Ariens 911 21" walk behind mower and yours is the only video I've seen that shows something like the Ariens. And I can see I dont have to drill out the retaining rivets for the rope pulley housing, but just unbolt the whole thing. Cheers, From Tasmania Australia
Thanks a lot for posting this, man! I'm not very mechanically inclined and I couldn't find a video or anything with a mower that was similar to mine. I thought I was hooped until I stumbled upon this video and I was able to fix my mower easily with your help. The one mistake I made was not twisting the recoil counter-clockwise before putting the string through and tying the knot. I appreciate you helping me save some time and money. Thanks again!
good video, all the other videos left out the one part you didn't. My rope was hanging on the ground no tension, now ill wind it and then put the string in thanks...
