I little hint:

If you pick up an item, an other character needs, you can give it to them before picking it up.

Example: Instead "PICK UP STAMP" use "GIVE STAMP TO HOAGIE"

The Char will pick it up, and then flush it to the other char.

@lnino In the first 3 Minutes: 1. Don´t go with Bernard in the kitchen to get the Coffee and the fork. Do that when you turn on the tumbler. 2. Don´t get the help sign at start. Do it when you go outside to get the crowbar.

@Ch4oTiK Yeah, it did. :) In Maniac Mansion, one of the characters you can play is Bernard, and Bernard is in this game. They go back to the same (CRAZY) Eddison Family again. So you see the same characters, except more added. (and no purple meteor!) Sorry for the long explanation, I've played both games too much. ;)

when you play as bernard (i think) and you go up to the son's room (the stamp collector with the hamster) theres a computer in the background. you click "use" the computer and the first game starts :P

Best quest ever! I played it nearly 10-11 years ago, and now I found this video to recall the story. Good video. The only moment, when I stuck for a months in my playthrough - is the trick with keys in keyhole, when you close the door :) the point is I didn't close doors :)

Ah I luv the old lucasarts games, they have all elements of a a successful graphic adventure. Day of the Tentacle and sam and max were amongst the very first adventure games i ever played.

Along with grim fandango those are my two favorite graphic adventures. They hold a special place in my heart.

Very nice run. I didn't have a PC back in the days of this game so I just bought it on ebay for my collection a few years back, and just FINALLY got to play it over the holidays. Beat it tonight, and watched your speed run as a sort of "instant replay" of the game (and all the people pointing out that you skipped the excellent cut-scenes are clearly missing the point of a speed run).

The only point where I thought you might be able to shave a few seconds is at 15:15, where you apply the Booboo-B-Gone to the cat. At that point you can also hook up the extension cord to the chron-o-john and put it through the basement window. So when you put the hamster on the generator, the chron-o-john powers up immediately when plugged into the generator. Rather than using more time to run outside to plug it in. Not much, but may shave several seconds if you ever shoot to improve your time.

I played this when I was a kid, too. I never ended up beating it. Now I'm almost 20 and the fact that I just saw the entire game beaten in 20 minutes, kind of makes me want to rip my hair out- but only because I now know that I would have never figured it out when I was little.
