Thx for putting this up. I'll never ever forget some of the weekends in the mid to late 60's my friends & our Dads spent at the "Glen"! For 3 bucks on Sat night before the race you could walk through the Tech Building where they prepared the cars for the race on Sun. The even let you take pictures! I remember not sleeping much Fri & Sat nights. People partying all night, nutcases leaping through bonfires, bike gangs, you name it. How I wish the USGP would come back to the good ol' GLEN!
Thanks for posting this. I have fond memories of a summer weekend going to the races with the family. My Dad built a platform that mounted onto cartop carriers that went onto our 65 impala, and my mom and dad would sit up there in folding chairs while my sister and I played on the hood!
I would also like to add that it is rare to find footage of the atmosphere at the track and what the camping sections looked like. Normally you only see the cars on the track at close veiw. Again thanks for posting this!
Thank you for posting this fantastic footage -- it really captures the sites and sounds of the The Glen in those days. It's odd to see so much of the track without those famous blue guardrails.
thanks for the upload, nice look back at the atmosphere of the USGP at the Glen
