  • woow thats amazing! keep it up chica!

  • u look really pretty with shorter hair.

u should keep it that around that length..

  • I want my hair to grow. I have been following some other people on here and came across your channel. Your hair progress is great and very inspiring. I did the bantu knots too, thanks for the videos.

  • Your hair is BEAUTIFUL!!! I've been hiding my hair in falls for 8 months now and I'm scared to wear it out. I think I'll go man up and get my press for Thanksgiving. Sub'ing NOW!

  • Thnks! I knowya gona have some swag!!!;-0

  • what do you moisturize and seal your hair with?

  • check out my products video:-)

  • you have movie maker? how did you add your video into the slide show? i thought it just had pictures not videos.

  • Import videos

  • how often do you straighten your hair? do you straighten it? can you do a tutorial?

  • Not often, and I dont recommend it lol

  • i love those ends! i'd say you're at collarbone length, and you got there fast!

  • Thnks!

  • Your hair is so beautiful, nice and shinny, and healthy

  • Thnks hun

  • absolutely beautiful! my hair grows just like yours in a 'v' shape! i started my healthy hair journey in feb 09 and i cant believe the hair on my head belongs to me!! lol

Cant wait for your feb 10 update.

  • i would like to ask you two questions. i am starting a hair journey also and i am not a big fan of perm so i get perms about every 3months.

Is this a good thing? and Would braids help my hair grow while it is not being perm?

  • Thats fine ,hun, everyone has preferences when it comes to frequency of relaxers ..in no way am I encouraging/forcing others to perm their hair as often as I do.. I simply share my routine with you! If 3 months works for u,i say stick with it, the less relaxers the better. Braids are a good protective styles, just be sure that youkeep yourhair moisturized:-)

  • i do not understand, in some videos your hair was so long, and now is shorter? what happened????

  • she cut it

  • I cut my hair in Feb 2009. See the "I cut it into a bob" video:-)

  • Hair is looking pretty chica, my one year is also in feb., hope to have equally fabulous results.

  • Thnks mama! Pls share your 1 yr update with us!! Im sure ur making great progress!

  • Hair looks great Vonnique !!!!

  • Thnks Kiss!!

  • your hair looks great :)

what moisturizer would you reccomend for the winter time?

I'm currently using coconut oil to seal, do you think i should continue using it during the winter or use a different type of oil?

thanks if you can answer God Bless

  • I use my same moisturizer and oil yr round. I may have to use a lil more moisturizer during the winter.

  • my hair has't been relaxed in like 2 1/2 to 3 months and i didn't keep the relaxer on long enough. i'm switching to profective relaxer will it be okay for me to re-relax my already halfway relaxed hair?

  • how often do you relax? your hair is pretty

  • 6-8 wks

  • your hair is amazing!

how do you care for your hair in the winter?

i have braids in my hair - but im taking it out in december . my hair is sholder length & i want it to grow !

you have any tips for caring for hair in the cold?

  • Yay! You're making progress! Can't wait to see where you'll be when you update in Feb :)

  • Thnks:-)

  • great progress girl...keep it up!

  • GIRL... i'm just bout ready to give the HELL UP!!! I've been on this healthy journey from march 1, thats when i cut my hair, i've been takin growth supplements and still.. i feel like i'm gettin nowhere.. i'm getting new growth, alot of oit, but... my hair dont seem to be growin. Another problem i've noticed now is that i have a lot of shedding. The site hairlista has been a GREAT help, but i still feel defeated.. maybe i'm just mean to have long hair

  • If you say that you have a lot of new growth then your hair is growing. I shed a lot too and I've recently been using the Hawaiian Silky Miracle Worker 14-in1 and I swear I will use it for the rest of my life. My shedding reduced about 95% and it was only 5bucks at Sallys. Don't give up! Just relax and don't stress about it.

  • thanks

  • what are you doing to protect your ends? Are you moisturizing and sealing frequently?

  • I wear a 60 second/ half wig. I moisturize my hair twice a day only sealing it at night. I'm in a different country now, for school. And its hard finding hair products over here. The sallys over here dont cater to ethnic hair.. thanks for the help but.. idk.. i guess i'll have to start my hair journey over when i get back home

  • What is your moisturizer and your oil?>

  • I'm using motions anti breakage and motions hair lotion. I have various oils, i vary between olive oil, coconut oil or castor oil. I would use the 2 step aphogee treatment but i dont have a hooded dryer, so i just use a regular protein treatment every so often. but i heard that we shouldnt use products with petroleum and mineral oil. Is that true?

  • np ! my mostizer is african gold & motions

  • to stop shedding, try the aphogee 2 step protien treatment every 6 wks

  • So you are wearing a weave to promote hair growth?

  • it wont promote it but it is anoutha protectant hair style it keeps your hands away for your hair so it can retain its lenth. i had got a full weave with a lil hair out i keep it in about 2 months i got like alomst 3 inches of growth, so you will see a big diffrence

  • exactly!

  • sexy girl

  • Hi girl, i have a question..one side of my hair is growing long in it look amazing..but the other side look frizzy, dry i dont know what to do ...i deep condition, i do all step to both side ..but i dont no what happen to my right side of my hair

  • Next week when i wash my hair im going to be trying this "henna n' placenta" treatment by hask placenta from sallys for $1.99. You leave it on for 10 minutes after you wash. I did some research and it got some great reviews so I'll let you know how it goes! just trying to try new things :)

  • No secret, did everything I stated in my regimen:-)

  • Wow, you did a great job!!! I thought you just came from the salon... Please show how you did this style yourself and how you got it so silky straight!

  • I may doa vid, this is one of the few instances i used heat. I wshed as usual, put my reg products, except i added wrapping loton and heat protectant, ii wrap set it wet and sat under a hooded drier and until it dried, and then I bumped the ends with a curling iron and wrapped it for bed and this is the look I got for the next day.
