Tarja Live in Hamburg 24.may.2008 Wish Master

As others have said, she is able to perform old NW songs much better than the current NW can. I just saw her in NYC and she played Passion and the Opera, Nemo and Wishmaster. I saw NW this past Saturday and was forced to hear butchered versions of the old NW stuff like Nemo, The Siren, Dark Chest and others. Tarja's band is friggen awesome and is more "Nightwish" than the current Nightwish.

I think that Nightwish is the union of Tuomas, Emppu, Marco, Jukka and Tarja. All Nightwish's songs can only be performed by Nightwish.

Of course... I would love if they Could rejoin again... My favourit Nightwish album is Oceanborn and Now Nightwish are not able to perform almost any song (Anette only can sing Sacrement of Wilderness properly from Oceanborn) ... and the Others? Where are Passion and The Opera, Walking in the Air or Gethsemane? ...

Does Tarja performing all the old NW songs? I understand, the songs are by old nightwish and Tarja was the singer, but i don't like Tarja sings the old NW songs because she's not in nightwish anymore. and that's my opinion.

There are songs that they can't play properly Anymore... and if fans like to hear it I don't think she is doing nothing wrong...

In fact Nightwish only left the idea of being an acoustic project because of her! So even not composing she helped to Create Nightwish Old sound!

actualy..tuomas said that at the begining nightwish supposed to be just an acustic project. the intensity of tarja's voice made him to change his plans to metal symphonic

I missed Tarja a lot at first, but I have to say I like Anette's version better. The things she does with her voice! Tarja should stick with her own songs, the split was the best thing that could have happened for her and Nightwish both.

Tuomas is genius! But i think that Nightwish doesnt need their songs anymore, since Anette cant sing them. As we all see Tarja is great with Nightwish's songs, Anete isnt.

Not really. The venue pays a yearly blanket fee to the record labels for the permission to have live performances of ANY song by ANY artist. The records companies send a percentage of all yearly blanket fees to ALL their members, so Tuomas doesn't make any more or any less money from Tarja performing NW songs.

I'm really glad to see her happy...With Nightwish she wasn't,not her-neither the guys.And now they are both happy(Nightwish with Anette and Tarja with her band).It's nice to see that. =]

I was speaking more in terms of the band members in regards to their individual performances, not taking into consideration the composition of the songs themselves.

As far as Nightwish, it wouldn't be Nightwish without BOTH Tuomas AND Tarja, as well as Emppu's guitar arrangements.

Toumas wrote it Tarja made it successful. Get over it, we all know Toumas writes the songs but without her voice to make the lyrics come to life Nightwish wouldnt have been as successful.
