I have seen many videos and photos of the CP 60 strat, sonic blue model, but in some of theese it looks really blue (i don't like it too much) and in others, its color is closer to white. Someone who played and/or saw one of these awesome guitar, please tell me if it's closer to blue or white. Thanks
I have one, and I would say it is close to what they call a "Powder" blue. I think when they look more white, it is the lighting that makes them look like that. I've seen comments where some people don't like the pickups, but I play through a Fuchs ODS-50, and it sounds excellent! With the right amp, it gets the best tone out of any Strat I've owned; including my 1964.
I bough one just over a year ago, I don't like the fat neck though, and the Signed CS69 pickups sound horrible, like plastic. I am thinking of selling it, I bought it because I like the look of it (sonic blue, aged plastics) and the 12" radius with MJ frets, but it sounds crap compared to my other Strats, the body shape is different on these aswell.
No not your video, but when I plug mine in its got a very plain sound like its di'd into a desk with no pre amp, no depth or warmth compared to others.
~Great tone coming from those fingers man...I played a sonic blue tonight at Guitar Center..the MIM thing is buggin me although I loved the guitar..!~~69 custom pickups?
You've got a lot of feeling in those fingers... great tone and good skills! Ive posted a soundcheck of this guitar also, using a more "rusty" tone. Keep that blues running!
Man I bought that Classic Players '60s Strat in that sonic blue like 2 days ago and man it is a badass guitar. Although the made in mexico thing kinda turned me off at first it is still my favorite out of my huge collection.
Les 2 séries sont trés bonnes, mais je te conseille quand meme la Classic Player, rien que pour les CS69 Pu....La couleur c'est un Pale Sonic Blue...bleueu trés clair... :D:D
First. Great tone you've got there! I'm myself being infatuated by this guitar. But my local store doesn't have in stock. Would you recommend it buying "blind" on line?
I bought this amp about 2 weeks ago and it just came in yesterday. I have yet to use it because I sold my 4x12 and bought a 2x12 and it has yet to come in. Thank you for solidifying my purchase. This is the tone I wanted.
I commented on this vid. . dont know what happened. WOW!!! Your tone is sweet, love the twangy thingy you did, good picking, clean. I have a CP's in Pale sonic Blue and love it. Thanks for posting your vid, I enjoyed it :-D
