I'm a white boy and I dress any way I feel like, I don't care what people say about my clothes, I dress base (which is difficult to get away with in public), sometimes childish, my religion (metaphorically) is my moccasins and my purple trousers, if people get angry with this I don't care, my good isn't all about the clothes!

the "macho" g mentallity is one of the stupidist things in human history, at the same time we shouldn't limit our view of "nice" down to 3-peice suits, button ups or whatever the 'well-dressed" fashion is. A sensible person it able to project their personality through clothes of various sorts. My uncle use to scream at me if I wore my pants like that. And that is the reason he told me to never wear my pants like that. This was when I was 14. I'm 37 now. Hell, I'll ask you out, lol. When I was stationed in Virginia, black women would look at me strange. One even asked me if I was gay. But when I was in Dallas, black most of the black women I came accross did appreciate it.

Hell, in prison, if you wore sagging pants, that was a sign for another dude to get the booty. I'm not joking. I would rather have a clean nice look, than some pants sagging clown.

@southboy99 seems as though you know nothing my boy;Jail is always b4 prison they wear their normal clothes in most jails an that trend leads to them doing it when they get up state in prison.I been in an out of jail since I was 16 over 3 felonies i know more about it then you

@CrashArtSkillz Dude, this is not a recent trend. What are you like 25 now? The trend of guys in prison wearing their pants low started in the 70's. My uncle use to scream at me if I wore my pants like that. And that is the reason he told me to never wear my pants like that. This was when I was 14. I'm 37 now. I think a guy doing 10 years in prison has more cred than someone sitting in county jail or juvi.

Its all about your personal style. If that's what they like to wear I don't understand why people care. Why does what they decide to wear matter? I'm sure anyone else would feel uncomfortable if people were coming at them trying to change their dress simply because they didn't like it. If you don't like t-shirts and baggy pants then you don't have to wear them. But don't think just because you don't like them everyone else should agree. Fashion is nothing but opinion.

i dress baggy and my reason is cuz i feel good in it. don't care what people think of it cuz it don't mean i'm trying to be "hard" i listen to rock, pop, j-pop, elecrto, electronic, electronica, dance, classic, reggae, soca, not much not much hip-hop, very little rap.
i say "dude" all the time. use the "like" like a valley girl uses it ( i do). never use the "n" word and people still judge me by my clothes before i get within 10 feet of them.... i'm like "dude... seriously?"
it sucks.....

It seems to me that black men are beginning to pull their pants up more often. I believe it is just a fad and will fade away one day just as gold teeth are beginning to do. A lot of black men don't like weave and it is only common sense to understand why many black women do not like men who wear clothes that are entirely too big for them. It does look rather sloppy but the funny thing is that many of these saggy jeans cost 200 bucks or more. A lot to pay and still look sloppy or downlow.

Most blacks are not aware that more than 3,000 black babies go into dumpsters every single week. THIS IS A FACT! Then you have black rappers sellin out their peope for bling bling and money while demoralizing the mind of young black people. It is truly sad...the plight of black people.

I completely agree! There is nothing more attractive than a well dressed well groomed man. I really can't understand the need to look like a thug all the time. IMO If you are still dressing like you did at sixteen it's a reflection of where you are mentally and emotionally. I agree that young black men should dress according to the occasion.
