That camera moment in the beginning of your movie with the camera going 'round the russian officer's shoulders was really well done - Cut & music were an A+ in that scene. Too bad the rest of the scenes weren't THAT great. They are still good but that first scene was just awesome - well done!

I gotta disagree. Yes it got quite a lot of community addons packed into it, but all of the scripting is done by the ACE team. Some of the models are also made from scratch by the ACE team. So I'd say it's half and half.

That is a top quality video, ArmaVidz, best ArmA one I've seen by a country mile. I just bought ArmA (long time Flashpoint fan, kinda late to getting round to buying the sequel I know), I'm thinking about d/l'ing ACE, I think it includes the "wounded drag" animation, correct?

You didn't miss too much, and, you got here just in time for ACE. It does include the wounded drag, not to mention realistic tracers and ballistics, Fire Control Systems and a whole plethora of other wicked stuff. It's a must download. ;)

That is more than enough hardware but the "Vista" choice, as well as the 64bit OS is questionable.

I have no reason to like Vista, nor its 64bit version. I would stay with WindowsXP Professional. Vista problems have been reported, especially with 64bit.

Find the program file, find it's .exe file, set the properties to 'run in compatibility mode for XP'

That hasn't worked since it's inception to operating systems in WindowsXP. It's a poor substitute for actually working and is typically used for desktop programs that are not dependant on anything operating in OpenGL or Direct3D. Even if it states it will work - it never 'really' does - to any measure worth caring about. ;)

Vegas isn't so hard, but Photoshop has a hardcore learning curve if I remember correctly. Everyone is a newbie at some point, it's how much you want it that will determine if you stay a newbie or not :D

No fees. Just buy the game and download the mods you want for it. I'd suggest most of the ones listed, though you'll need to do a bit of research to use mod folders or else you'll get a lot of clutter.

i tried it out but the rocket effect in my arma is the same (not the orange dot like in the movie) and the explosion isnt the same. do i have to change something or do i have to download a second mod for the cool explosion?

SixthSense Pack 1(newest version) makes the "Tracer" round on the AT4 projectile. As well as tracers and other fun stuff. It's a must have in addition to Maddmatt's Effects.

Hi. Thanks. This is definitely one of my better movies :)

The GAU8 sound is from EvEnLease's A-10 reskin mod, which adds in new sounds. Unfortunately, it doesn't work after 1.07, so I removed the sounds from the reskin and added them post-ingame-recording(video editing). I used to use them by overwriting the default sound in the arma installation, but that causes the sound to repeat. Not the best way to do it, but it seems to be better than alot of sound mod's GAU8 sounds(even with the repeat).

i have MaddMatt's Effects and my at4 isnt makeing that back blast effect anymore and i dont know y ever since they released the fix for the rain it hasnt worked since

Look in your DTA folder in the arma install directory and in all the mod folders you use for Extended Event Handlers...if you have multiple copies get rid of all of them and keep the most current in your ARMA\dta folder. Just teh one copy. Make sure you have the most recent version of Extended Eventhandlers. :)

You must have duplicate event handlers. The Realistic M136 AT4 addon does this as well(or it did at one point?)

If you searched for the Extended Eventhandler PBO in all your folders(and addons folder under my documents\arma\addons) then I'd re-download latest version of all the packs you use.

I just wanted to let you and the rest of the CSM team know that there's one bug with the CSM mod that really bugs me. :P With the M16A4 ACG GL, the grenade launcher doesn't work anymore with the mod. I've looked through the config and can't seem to find what's wrong. I would have messaged you on the BI Forums, but I went and got myself banned some time ago. Sorry if you already knew about this, just don't want it in the next version. :)

How do you do that effect on 5:09 with the camera ? It looks like you attached the camera to the vehicule, but you can freely move the camera angle with the mouse ? Is there something to see with the _cam camCommand "manual on" command ? It allows you to control the camera, but not like what you show in your video. Can you tell me, thx :-)
