Sign your name is my all time favorite. To me he is the first to do SoulFunk. A rare style of music blending soul and funk together. That song and Sade's Cherish The Day is an idea of SoulFunk...It lasted for a little while then died out.
Get out of here! So, are you John, Joe or Andy? I envy you... firstly, because I can't play any instrument (besides keyboards with one finger and badly) and secondly, because you've actually met him!
I'm John,it was my horn section and I wrote the horn arrangments with T.One funny thing that happened was that during one of the horn sessions,T stopped us in the middle of a take and had us go watch the Simpsons with him.I guess he was a big fan at the time, lol. The shame was that during the recording of the album he had a falling out with Columbia, packed up everything(it was recorded initially in Carlisle MA)and went home to LA where he finished the album in his home studio.
Oh to hear the whole of this track... The album this little snatch came from 'Symphony Or Damned' - must be one of the best albums of the 1990's... This particular track 'Turn The Page' - has very powerful lyrical content... Profound even..........
Terence Trent D'arby: TURN THE PAGE taitaa olla kyseisen kappaleen nimi. Jos ei tiedä jonkun biisin nimeä, kannattaa googlettaa osa lyriikoista niin tod. näk. jotain löytyy.
