I've heard they've got a new TIE Fighter coming out and the pictures I've seen of it gives the impression its gonna cost more than what the original one did. Plus its suppose to feature four figures; one being a Death Star Trooper with a more accurate helmet.

My mom just got me hooked on collecting Star Wars legos. I happened to be with her and mentioned that Star Wars Legos are cool and guess what she got me for my birthday - an X-Wing Starfighter and Plo Koon's Jedi Starfighter. Lego Star Wars ARE cool, but dunno what possessed her to buy the Jedi Starfighter - at least they have something to buy me now since I'm difficult to buy for lol.

Anyway, love these videos. Is it wrong that I'm 27 and think these lego sets are awesome?

7:05 Yes this is the one from "Star Wars Rogue Squadron" (1). This TIE appears only in one level, "Battle of Calamari" which takes place some time after palpatine's death so it is part of the expand universe. You can see it here: /watch?v=EO-hMIry47c&feature=r­elated at about 2:00. I think its amazing 'they' remebered this old game and build this TIE of it. There was also a new rebel figther in, the "V-Wing" but it is not the one from the clone wars...

The TIEs were meant to be blue in ANH, but was dropped due it making them transparent because of Blue screen. In ESB and ROTJ they were more gray with a gradual bluish hue added during post-production.

Sorry if somebody has already written this. The Droid TIE Fighter dose appear in the N64 Game Rogue Squadron in the Mon Calamari level. But it originally appeared first in the Dark Empire comic series in a chapter that the level is based on. Also the TIE Crawler first appeared in the same comic series.

Anyway nice review, only thing is though you left out your TIE Advance that came with your Death Star set.

the tie droid thingy is from the 1996 videogame Tie fighters vs. x-wing. Are you gonna get the ultimate collectors series tie interceptor from 2000? you should. It's huge! it's the ultmate tie fighter

TIE/d introduced in Dark Empire comic series. Later was used in Rogue Squadron 1, as you said, in one of bonus missions, based on story of that comic. It's for PC too. ;) As they made this TIe, they could also made New Republic V-Wing airspeeder.

Why TIE/d has yellowish engines? They should be red...

@jetfish777 If you mean darth vaders lightsaber light up than that must of come in the 2005-2006 series thats the only time they had light up lightsbabers. The TIE Interceptor is the only TIE Fighter to come out around that time besides Darth Vaders TIE Advanced which is a UCS model.
