No contest, Wildchild is a much more intricate composer and soloist than Hammet. Kirk is mostly just a pentatonic whore who hides behinds a WahWah pedal. Even Kirk admitted Laiho was a top guitarist in an interview he did. With that said, both are great musicians and trailblazers in their own rite.

And you say that Master of Puppets isn't one of Kirk's best solos? And Battery? ... Maybe Enter Sandman is not as good, and I should have used One, The Frayed Ends Of Sanity or Creeping Death... But it wouldn't have made a big difference.

@juussttee Dave Mustaine was a fucking asshole in the 80',but now,he is cool and always a good guitarist.Dave and Kirk have the same guitar level if you listen with care......If you look a bit,you'll see that on this video,Alexi has got his better solos and Kirk hasn't!Many people don't like Kirk Hammett cause he is in Metallica.......I can say you that Kirk can play his solos in live very well werheas Alexi doesn't play them as well as on the album....see what I mean?Kirk is a bit better imo.

And you say that Master of Puppets isn't one of Kirk's best solos? And Battery? ... Maybe Enter Sandman is not as good, and I should have used One, The Frayed Ends Of Sanity or Creeping Death... But it wouldn't have made a big difference.
