Hey thanks, I did have a brief lesson a looooong time ago. But it never really helped me playing better anyways lol, most of the stuff I learned by myself over the time. A good place to start is to learn more chords to give yourself more tools for improvisation.

you learn by ear. which means you know very well. you will learn songs too. search on utube for tutorials. you dont really memorize notes in your head when you play by ear. your fingers seem to know what to do kind of. like when you are typing. takes practice
