if u ask me he isnt the greatest of all time.he i just the greatest so far.I mean u dont know whats gonna happen in 20-30 years.mabye someone ever greater will emerge but i really doubt it.the meantality of the poeple is yust not the same
@Mraloneandsad Dude stfu what are you talking about of course there could be someone better then him but out of all the time so far he has been the greatest so he is the greatest of all time.
Thx for the upload. But did MJ not miss the crucial Free Throws that would have sealed the deal ? Would have been nicer if you had included those because it makes THE SHOT even sweeter :)
27 fta?! is that the playoff record? no wonder he got 50 even after starting 0/6 from the field. guess he kept shooting to make sure he was well out of that initial shooting slump!
@diego24kb "the raptors were pretty hard to beat"--- wow, ok! LOL obv you never actually watched that game. jordan scored so much early in his career b/c he knew it gave his team the best chance to win; kobe ALWAYS scores so much against poor teams simply to score, NOT to win. Watch that 81 pt game & try to tell me that is how the game should be played. He literally ran down the floor to jack up shots within the first :05 of the shot clock. MJ's scoring was always in the flow of the game.
@diego24kb Actually, the Raptors were easy to beat. That year they hardly had a complete roster due to injuries and had a number of 10 day contracts. That game, the coaching staff directed its players to lay off Kobe and concentrate on stopping his teammates. Kobe and every other perimeter player today also have it easier because of the rules that give every advantage to perimeter players. That's why high scoring performances today have an asterisk beside them.
That only had to be because he didn't have to rely so much on his J in his earlier days. No one can say that MJ couldn't shoot at any point in his NBA career.
That means he was 2/8 FG in the final minutes, which is not what you could expect from him... Well, he was human after all. But as you said, he set things strait in game 5, for him, for the Bulls, for the world and for the pleasure of us all. Thanks for the upload.
Yeah he also missed a couple of FTs that would have sealed the game also. Phil Jackson mentioned this game in that Michael Jordan to the Max film that came out on IMAX.

how does a 50 point game in the playoffs only have 4200 views
JCR1992 3 years ago 3
and this isn't even one of MJ's most memorable games by average NBA fans.
the answer is b/c only Jordan could be this good to spoil us as fans where performances like this aren't even his best of the best.
Jordan always saved his best performances for the playoffs.
Look at who Kobe scores his highest totals against: sorry teams like the Raptors, current Knicks, etc. adn he doesnt do it in the playoffs.

He had 50 in this game. 44 in the game prior and 44 in game 5! Reminds of the series he had in '88 against the Cavs
