  • The sharpening kit I got was this "sharpening compound"-black sandy goop you "paint" onto the blades. Then you turn the blade backwards. Is this just as good as the method in the video ?

  • @dann2ptf it is good but this kit works better. The best thing to do is use both..

  • @steve89z That's not spam, that's just honesty. Shame on youtube.

  • reverse the pawls and pinion gears and push it backwards for a couple blocks! careful not to backlap too much .. you'll over sharpen it and it'll go dull sooner ..

  • nice, thank you.

  • I plan on giving this one a try. that sure is a big warehouse,

  • @repsev1234 ....that's what she said...

  • Don't forget to tighten the blades after you're done sharpening - otherwise, the mower wont cut, no matter how sharp it is.

  • I wish I could use those sharpening kits for my razor as well...I'd have to spend less money of razor blades. ha!

In all seriousness, it's a great kit for sharpening your scotts classic. Spicy!

  • If you dry your razor every time you use it by shaking it off and using a tissue or blowing it dry using a hairdryer the blade will last ten times as long.

  • Awesome! Thank you so much!

  • @RedefineChris you probably actualy have a better shave
